தயாரிப்பு - அர்பன் பாய்ஸ் ஸ்டுடியோஸ் இயக்கம் - வசந்தபாலன் இசை - ஜிவி பிரகாஷ்குமார் நடிப்பு - அர்ஜுன் தாஸ், துஷாரா விஜயன் வெளியான தேதி - 21 ஜுலை 2023 நேரம் - 2 மணி நேரம் 23 நிமிடம் ரேட்டிங் - 2.5/5 'வெயில், அங்காடித் தெரு, அரவான், காவியத் தலைவன்' என தமிழ் சினிமாவின் மாறுபட்ட சில படங்களைக் கொடுத்தவர் இயக்குனர் வசந்தபாலன். இந்த 'அநீதி' படத்தையும் அப்படியான ஒரு மாறுபட்ட படமாகக் கொடுத்திருப்பார் என்று எதிர்பார்ப்பவர்களுக்கு கொஞ்சம் அதிர்ச்சியைக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். படத்தின் ஆரம்பக் காட்சிகள், கிளைமாக்ஸ் காட்சிகள் இது வசந்தபாலன் படமல்ல, ஏதோ ஒரு வழக்கமான மசாலாப் படம் என சொல்ல வைக்கின்றன. இடையில் மட்டுமே இது வசந்தபாலன் படமாக உள்ளது. சிறு வயதில் அப்பாவை ஒரு முதலாளித்துவ கொடுமையால் இழந்தவரான அர்ஜுன் தாஸுக்கும், ஏழைக் குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்து வயதான பணக்காரப் பெண் ஒருவரது வீட்டில் அடிமை போல வேலை செய்யும் துஷாராவுக்கும் இடையே நடக்கும் சம்பவங்கள்தான் படத்தின் கதை. துஷாராவின் முதலாளியம்மாவான அந்த பாட்டி திடீரென இறந்து போகிறார். துஷாராவும் அர்ஜுனும் அந்த பாட்டியின் பிணத்தை தனியார் மார்ச்சுவரியில் வைக்கிறார்கள். அவரது மகன், மகள் வெளிநாட்டில் இருக்கிறார்கள். ஒரு சிக்கல் காரணமாக பாட்டி இறந்ததை வெளிநாட்டில் வசிக்கும் பாட்டியின் வாரிசுகளிடம் சொல்லாமல் மறைக்கிறார் துஷாரா. ஆனால், அவர்கள் திடீரென வந்து நிற்கிறார்கள். பாட்டி இயற்கையாக சாகவில்லை, துஷாராவும், அர்ஜுனும் தான் கொன்றார்கள் என வாரிசுகள் போலீசிடம் செல்கிறார்கள். அதன் பின் என்ன நடக்கிறது என்பதுதான் படத்தின் மீதிக் கதை.

'வெயில்' கதிர், முருகேசன், மீனாட்சி, தங்கம் போலவும், 'அங்காடித் தெரு' கனி, ஜோதி லிங்கம் போலவும் இந்தப் படத்தில் திரு, சுப்புலட்சுமி கதாபாத்திரங்கள் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. திரு கதாபாத்திரத்தில் அர்ஜுன் தாஸ், சுப்பு கதாபாத்திரத்தில் துஷாரா விஜயன் ஆகிய இருவரும் தங்களது நடிப்பால் இந்தப் படத்தைத் தூண் போல தாங்கி இருக்கிறார்கள். உணவு டெலிவரி செய்யும் வேலையில் இருப்பவர் அர்ஜுன். அப்பாவின் மரணம் தந்த மனநல பாதிப்பு, யாரைப் பார்த்தாலும் கொல்ல வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணத்துடன் வாழ்பவருக்கு துஷாராவின் காதல் மாற்றத்தைத் தருகிறது. 'சைக்கோ' என்று சொல்லாமல் மனநலம் பாதிப்புடைய கதாபாத்திரம் என்று படத்தில் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால், ஆரம்பத்திலும், கிளைமாக்சிலும் அர்ஜுன் தாஸ் நடத்தும் ரத்த வெறியாட்டம் அவரை சைக்கோவிற்கு மேலும் சொல்ல வைக்கிறது. படத்திற்குப் படம் துஷாரா விஜயனின் நடிப்பு மாறி வருகிறது. பணக்கார வீட்டில் ஏழை வேலைக்காரியாக இருப்பவர்கள் என்னவெல்லாம் கொடுமைகளை அனுபவிக்கிறார்கள் என்பதை இவரது கதாபாத்திரம் மூலம் காட்டியிருக்கிறார் இயக்குனர். சுப்பு கதாபாத்திரத்தில் துஷாராவின் நடிப்பு அவ்வளவு இயல்பாய் உள்ளது. எத்தனை அடி வாங்கினாலும் அமைதி, காதலன் கிடைத்த பின் மகிழ்ச்சி, பாட்டி இறந்த பின் பதட்டம், கைதான பின் மாறும் குணம் என பல உணர்வுகளை வெளிப்படுத்தக் கூடிய கதாபாத்திரம். தமிழ் சினிமாவில் இந்தக் கால ஷோபாவாக கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாக மாறி வருகிறார். பாட்டியின் வாரிசுகளான அர்ஜுன் சிதம்பரம், வனிதா விஜயகுமார் வந்த பிறகு படம் ஒரு யதார்த்த நிலையிலிருந்து அப்படியே தடம் மாறுகிறது. அந்த அமெரிக்க ரிட்டர்ன்ஸ் குழு வந்த பிறகு நடிப்போ நடிப்பென்று நடித்து பொறுமையை சோதிக்க ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டார்கள். அதன் பின் படத்தின் திரைக்கதை எங்கெங்கோ அலைபாய ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டது. மனநலம் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட கதாநாயகன் என்றால் ஒரு பிளாஷ்பேக் கண்டிப்பாக இருக்கும். அப்பாவாக காளி வெங்கட், அவரது அநியாய மரணம் கலங்க வைக்கும். ஜிவி பிரகாஷ்குமார் இசையில் 'பூ நாழி பொன் நாழி' பாடல் அருமை. பின்னணி இசையில் கதாபாத்திரங்களின் உணர்வுகளை இன்னும் தூண்டிவிடுகிறார். படத்தின் ஆரம்பத்தில் யாரோ சிலரை அர்ஜுன் தாஸ் கொல்வதான காட்சிகள் வருகின்றன. அப்புறம் ஒரு வருடம் முன்னால் என பிளாஷ்பேக் காட்சிகளாக கதை நகர்கிறது. இடையிடையே வீட்டுக்குள் அவர் யாரையோ துரத்தும் காட்சிகளும் வருகின்றன. இடைவேளையில் துஷாராவைக் கொல்லவும் துடிக்கிறார். இந்த திரைக்கதை யுத்தியை ஆரம்பத்திலேயே சொல்வதைத் தவிர்த்திருக்கலாம். ஒரு உணவு டெலிவரி பாய், ஒரு வீட்டில் வேலை செய்யும் பெண் மீது காதல் கொள்வதிலிருந்து படத்தை ஆரம்பித்திருந்தால் இன்னும் 'இன்வால்வ்மென்ட்' கிடைத்திருக்கும். திரைக்கதையில் இந்த நியதியை பின்பற்றி இருக்கலாம். அநீதி - அ(சந்த) நீதி…

அநீதி Review: சமகால சமூக அரசியலை காத்திரமாகப் பேசும் படைப்பு ஈர்த்ததா?

முதலாளித்துவத்தாலும், அதிகார வர்க்கத்தாலும் அநீதி இழைக்கபட்ட ஓர் எளிய மனிதனின் பழிவாங்கும் நடவடிக்கையே ‘அநீதி’யின் ஒன்லைன்.

சென்னையில் உணவு விநியோகம் செய்யும் நிறுவனம் ஒன்றில் வேலை பார்த்து வருகிறார் ஓசிடி பிரச்சினை கொண்ட திருமேனி (அர்ஜூன் தாஸ்). மன அழுத்தம் நிறைந்த அவரது வாழ்க்கையில் பணக்கார வீட்டு பணிப்பெண் சுப்புலட்சுமியின் (துஷாரா விஜயன்) காதல் கிடைக்க, காட்சிகள் மாறுகிறது. அதுவரை இருந்த விரக்தியான மனநிலையிலிருந்து காதல் அவரை மீட்டெடுத்து சிரிக்க வைத்து ஆசுவாசப்படுத்துகிறது. இப்படியான சூழலில் திடீரென ஒருநாள் சுப்புலட்சுமியின் முதலாளி இறந்து விட, அந்த கொலைப்பழி சுப்புலட்சுமி மற்றும் திருமேனியின் மீது விழுகிறது. இந்தக் கொலைப்பழியிலிருந்து இவரும் தப்பித்தார்களா? இல்லையா? இதைச்சுற்றி நடக்கும் அரசியல் என்ன? - இதுதான் படத்தின் திரைக்கதை.

‘அங்காடித் தெரு’ படத்தில் சுரண்டப்படும் ஏழைத் தொழிலாளர்களின் அவலநிலையையும், வலியையும் அழுத்தமாக பதிவு செய்திருந்த இயக்குநர் வசந்தபாலன் மீண்டும் அப்படியானதொரு கதையை தேர்வு செய்திருக்கிறார். இம்முறை உணவு டெலிவரி செய்யும் நிறுவனங்களின் கோர முகத்தையும், அதில் சிக்கித் தவிக்கும் இளைஞர்களின் நிலை, சங்கமாக ஒன்றிணைவதன் அவசியம், பெருகிவரும் கார்ப்பரேட் நுகர்வு கலாசாரம், பணிநீக்கம், தனியார் மயமாக்கல் குறித்து காத்திரமாக பேசியிருக்கிறார்.

‘ஒரு காலத்தில் வேலை கிடைக்காமல் இருந்தது டிப்ரஷனாக இருந்தது. தற்போது வேலையே டிப்ரஷனாகிவிட்டது’, ‘மழை பெய்யுது, நின்னுட்டுப் போங்கனு சொன்ன குரலும், தலை துவட்ட துண்டு குடுத்த கையும் கண்டிப்பா ஒரு முதலாளியோடது இல்லனு தெரியும்’, ‘போற போக்க பாத்தா இந்தியான்னு எழுதி கீழ பிரைவேட் லிமிடட் போட்ருவாங்க போல’, ‘தண்ணீ விக்கிற விலைக்கு தண்ணீ கேக்குதா?’ போன்ற வசனங்கள் சமகால சூழலை பிரதிபலிக்கின்றன.

படத்தை முடிந்த அளவு எங்கேஜிங்காக கொண்டு செல்ல முயன்றிருக்கிறார் இயக்குநர். அதன்படி நகரும் படத்தின் காதல் காட்சிகள் ரசிக்க வைக்கின்றன. குறிப்பாக, நுகர்வு கலாசாரத்தால் பலியாகும் எளிய மக்களின் வாழ்க்கையை பேசும் ஃப்ளாஷ்பேக் பகுதி அழுத்தமாக பதிவுசெய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. உணவு டெலிவரி செய்யும் இளைஞராக, மன அழுத்தத்தில் சிக்கிப் தவிப்பராக, கோபத்தை கட்டுபடுத்தி முகத்தில் உணர்ச்சிகளாக அதை வெளிப்படுத்தும் இடங்களில் தனது நடிப்பால் திருமேனி கதாபாத்திரத்துக்கு உயிர் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார் அர்ஜூன் தாஸ். வில்லன் கதாபாத்திரத்துக்குள் சுருக்கப்பட்டிருந்த ஒருவரை சரியாக பயன்படுத்தி, தான் எழுதியிருக்கும் கதாபாத்திரத்துக்கு தகுந்த ஒருவரை பொருத்தியிருக்கிறார் வசந்தபாலன். அவரது கம்பீரமான குரலுடன் தொடங்கும் கவிதை ஈர்ப்பு.

அதேபோல இதுவரை மிடுக்கான உடல்மொழியுடன், துணிச்சலான பெண்ணாக வலம் வந்த துஷாரா விஜயன் இந்தப் படத்தில் புதிதான கதாபாத்திரத்தில் மாறுபட்ட நடிப்பை வழங்கியிருக்கிறார். பதற்றத்துடனும், பயத்துடனும், குடும்பச் சூழ்நிலையை உணர்த்து பணியிடத்தில் தன் மீது நிகழ்த்தப்படும் வன்முறைகளை சகித்துகொண்டு வாழும் எளிய மக்களில் ஒருவராக துஷாரா அழுத்தமான நடிப்பை வெளிப்படுத்தியிருக்கிறார். தென்காசி வட்டார வழக்கில் மொழியில் வேகத்தை கூட்டி நடிப்பில் மிரட்டியிருக்கிறார் காளி வெங்கட். உண்மையில் தமிழ் சினிமா அவரை அழுத்தமான கதாபாத்திரங்களுக்கு பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்ளவேண்டும். வனிதா, சுரேஷ் சக்கரவர்த்தி, அர்ஜுன் சிதம்பரம், சாரா, அறந்தாங்கி நிஷா உள்ளிட்ட பலரும் கதாபாத்திர தேவையுணர்ந்து நடித்துள்ளனர்.

ஜி.வி.பிரகாஷ் பின்னணி இசை பலம் சேர்த்த அளவுக்கு பாடல்கள் நினைவில் நிற்கவில்லை. நாயகியின் அறிமுகக் காட்சியில் வரும் பிஜிஎம் ரசிக்க வைக்கிறது. எட்வின் சாகே ஒளிப்பதிவு காட்சிகளுக்கு தேவையான பங்களிப்பை செய்கிறது. டான் அசோக், போனிக்ஸ் பிரபு சண்டைக் காட்சிகள் தனித்து தெரிகின்றன.

முதலாளித்துவத்துக்கு எதிரான கருத்துகளை பேசும் படம், பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பெண் தொழிலாளி கதாபாத்திரத்தை எதிர்மறையாக சித்தரிப்பது நெருடல். அதேபோல அறந்தாங்கி நிஷாக்கான காட்சிகள் காமெடி என்ற பெயரில் எழுதப்பட்டிருப்பது, காவல் நிலையத்துக்குள் வந்து பெண் ஒருவர் துப்பாக்கியால் சுடுவது, அதற்கான ரியாக்சன்களின்றி அடுத்து நகரும் காட்சிகள், பணிப் பெண்ணான துஷாரா பணக்கார பெண் போன்ற உடை அலங்காரத்துடன் தோன்றும் அறிமுகக் காட்சியும், மாதச் சம்பளம் வாங்கி குடும்பத்தை நகர்த்தும் ஏழைப் பெண்ணான அவர், அவ்வளவு பெரிய வீட்டில் சாப்பாடில்லாமல் தினமும் ஆர்டர் செய்து சாப்பிடும் வழக்கமும் லாஜிக்காக இடிக்கவே செய்கிறது.

முதலாளித்துவ சுரண்டலை பேசும் படம் இறுதியில் ஆண் ‘நாயக’ தன்மைக்குள் சுருங்கிவிடுவதும், பெண்ணை குற்றவாளிக்கியாக்கி மன்னிப்பு கோர வைப்பதும் சிக்கல். மேலும் ஓசிடி எனப்படும் மனச்சிதைவு நோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட ஒருவரை இன்னும் கவனமாக கையாண்டிருக்கலாமோ என தோன்றுகிறது. காரணம், சம்பந்தப்பட்ட நோயால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பார்வையாளர் தன்னுடைய பாதிப்பையொத்த ஒருவரை திரையில் கொலைகாரராகவும் பார்ப்பது அவருக்கு எந்த மாதிரியான தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தும் என்பதுடன், சமூகம் அவரை எப்படி அணுகும் என்பதையும் கவனிக்க வேண்டியுள்ளது. அதேபோல பழிவாங்கும் ஹீரோயிச க்ளைமாக்ஸ் அயற்சி.

மொத்தமாக, முதலாளித்துவ சுரண்டல், நுகர்வு கலாசாரம் எளிய மக்களிடம் ஏற்படுத்தும் தாக்கம் உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு விஷயங்கள் குறித்து பேசியிருக்கும் ‘அநீதி’ பார்வையாளர்களுகு அநீதி இழைக்க வாய்ப்பில்லை என்றாலும், திரைக்கதைக்கு இன்னும் கூட நீதி தேவைப்படாமல் இல்லை.

Thiru works as a food delivery agent in a firm called Meal Monkey. Early in the film, we see him facing harsh treatment from customers. From being forced to walk up to the 13th floor to being punished by cancelling orders for a one-off mistake, these scenes remind us of similar real-life instances that made news in recent times. Such encounters irk him and test his patience. He realises that he has been having killing instincts for some time and seeks medical intervention for this disorder which 1 in 1000 individuals have. From the beginning, the film addresses the struggles of the proletariat class, the trials due to privatisation and the power abuse by the capitalists. And at a point in the film, Thiru finds his love of life, Dushara's Subbu, who is a domestic help at an elitist elderly woman's (played by veteran Shanta Dhananjayan) house. Subbu is also abused, and treated poorly, simply because of the class she belongs to and the work she does. Things take a violent turn when the elderly woman is found dead, and Subbu and Thiru are accused by her family of killing her for money. In this non-linear narrative, Vasanthabalan tries to leave a few breadcrumbs — like Thiru's aversion to chocolates since childhood and the glimpses of brutal Thiru drenched in blood — all over the place. While it does not sit well and feels forcefully chipped in a few places, the film drags it to the climax to join all the dots. The poignant flashback about his childhood trauma reasons for his present condition and actions. However, stacking it up to the end seemed a little overwhelming, especially as it is followed by a ruthless and bloody killing episode. Aneethi , which translates to injustice, primarily shows to what extent people with money and power can exploit the working class. We see it best through the characters of Anitha (Vanitha) and Arjun (Arjun Chidambaram), the children of the elderly woman. When they get to know that Subbu has hidden the news about their mother's death, they physically abuse her. The disturbing and triggering visuals reach their peak with the custodial torture that Thiru undergoes at the police station. At a point, the abuse at the house and police station suffocates when it overstays its momentum.   This well-intended film that strives to reflect on the pathos of the proletariat darts an impressive mark for creating a compelling arc for Thiru's character. A sincere Arjun Das effortlessly steps into the shoes of Thiru and delivers an earnest performance. In the chasms of sorrow, in the pangs of vulnerability, in the embrace of love, and storms of violence, Arjun skillfully evokes a range of emotions within us. And an effective Dushara plays her part well as a struggling and timid Subbu. The laboured writing congregates the poignant baggage of Thiru's past and the familiar recurrence in the present, all while being anchored by the profound force of love. While the first half effectively grips the audience's attention with a handful of thrills and establishments, a few portions in the second half, like bringing Aranthangi Nisha as a comic relief and the NRI family's overboard reactions, became faltering. While songs composed by GV Prakash were outstanding, the clangorous background score was quite overindulgent. The film tries to touch on many aspects of working-class problems and certainly echoes good intentions. But it could have risen above the so-so space with some more finesse in treatment and crisp narrative and execution choices. As  Aneethi  reaches its climax, the heft of unjust and brutal encounters in life so far, awakens the dormant demon within this seemingly placid individual, ultimately leading Thiru to embrace an unjust path to confront the very injustice...once and for all as he stands as a mirror to this unfair society.

Aneethi review: Vasanthabalan is back with yet another rooted story

The filmmaker, who lost his ability to impress audiences for a while, seems to have regained his magical touch with 'Aneethi'.

Director Vasanthabalan, best known for having delivered exceptional films like Veyil (2022) and Angadi Theru (2010), seems to have delivered yet another fascinating winner called Aneethi (Injustice).

The Tamil movie sends out a hard-hitting message — not only about how the powerless and the weak are exploited by the rich but also about how those with wealth lack kindness.

Every time Vasanthabalan comes up with a story he deeply believes in, he has never failed to move audiences. Aneethi is no different and makes a profound impact on you.

You don’t need an expert to tell you that this is a story that’s come from Vasanthabalan’s very soul.

Thirumeni (Arjun Das) is a food delivery agent who slogs from the minute he wakes up until the time he crashes into bed out of exhaustion.

Even as he slogs like a machine, day in and day out, Thirumeni is often ill-treated and humiliated by those who order food.

More than their ill-treatment, their lack of compassion is what is even more striking.

Every time he has to interact with an inconsiderate customer, Thirumeni has a strong urge to kill him or her. However, he controls his anger, patiently takes all the abuses hurled at him, and silently returns to slog again.

Thirumeni has no friends, save one roommate named Pothi (Bharani) who also works as a food delivery agent. Pothi is the only one who is kind and considerate to Thiru.

A love story.

It is under these circumstances that one day, he goes to deliver food to a posh house and ends up meeting Subbu (Dushara Vijayan), a girl working as a maid servant-cum-caretaker.

Needless to say, Thiru falls for Subbu and reciprocates his feelings for her.

Subbu’s primary task involves looking after the owner of the house, a wealthy but rude, heartless rich old lady named Mangayarkarasi (Shantha Dhananjayan).

Mangayarkarasi’s self-centred son Ajee (Arjun Chidambaram) and greedy daughter Anitha (Vanitha Vijayakumar) live abroad.

Both son and daughter, like their mother, treat Subbu like a slave and often threaten her over the phone.

Subbu is the only earning member of her family comprising her mother, father, brother and sister. She desperately needs the money her heartless bosses pay her. So, she puts up with all the humiliation and threats.

One day, the old lady dies and Subbu’s frantic calls to Ajee and Anitha to inform them of their mother’s death go unanswered.

She calls Thiru for help, and he responds. They realise that it will take at least two-three days for the old lady’s children to fly back and therefore, choose to move her body to a private mortuary.

They use the old lady’s ATM card to hire an ambulance to shift the body to the mortuary. What happens then is what Aneethi is all about.

Drives home the point.

Vasanthabalan, who lost his ability to impress audiences for a while, seems to have regained his magical touch with Aneethi .

This powerful story drives home the point that those who cannot forgive or show mercy to the helpless, who genuinely plead for mercy with folded hands, are not humans but beasts.

The film is a powerful take on the exploitation of the poor, not just in cities but also in rural parts. It is a fantastic film that wins your attention right from the moment it starts and manages to hold you prisoner with its impressive narration.

Every scene, however insignificant it may be to the central plot, has a substantial point to make on its own.

More importantly, Aneethi highlights the fact that all that is legal might not necessarily be just.

For instance, the scene where an arrogant customer makes a delivery boy climb 13 floors to deliver a food packet. After receiving the food packet, the customer hands him a ₹2000 note and demands change for it.

With no other option, the delivery agent agrees to go all the way down to get change and climb 13 floors back up only to be met with a question, “What if you take the money and run away?”

Vasanthabalan does not hold back while showcasing the dark, inhumane side of the wealthy and it stirs in you the same anger that the character at the receiving end experiences.

There are three primary reasons why Vasanthabalan’s story works like magic.

The first is a powerful story that is rooted in reality. The next is his choice of performers who breathe life into the characters, and the third is some outstanding technical support.

Spelndid performances.

Arjun Das, who plays the poor, exploited delivery boy Thirumeni, comes up with an outstanding performance that leaves you shaken.

His deep voice, subtle expressions, soft demeanour, and tough transformation enhance his performance and makes it one of the finest in his career so far.

Kaali Venkat, who plays the innocent father of Thirumeni, whips up a storm with his exceptional performance in this film.

As it is, the film moves at an impressive pace and this pace further picks up when Kaali Venkat makes an entry through a flashback sequence.

His dialogue delivery, his expressions and his body language are all absolutely spot-on. He plays the character of a doting father — who goes to the ends of the earth to make the dreams of his son a reality — with so much conviction that you are moved by his plight and can relate to his pain.

Dushara Vijayan as Subbu, Shantha Dhananjayan as the old lady, and Vanitha Vijayakumar as Anita also excel.

On the technical front, GV Prakash’s background score is just perfect for the movie as are the visuals of cinematographer Edwin Sakay.

In all, Aneethi is an impressive and powerful take on exploitation, kindness and everything in between.

Harmless one time watch.

A better film from Vasanthabalan since Angadi Theru. The story setup is relatable with a neat first half, even the backstory is decently placed, but the payoffs are very weak. Spoilsport when it tries to be commercial. (more)

Another great aspect of the film is the cast. Every actor associated with this project has understood what the filmmaker needs and delivered it with all their heart. The lead actors, Dushara Vijayan and Arjun Das, especially, have delivered terrific performances. Arjun displays varied emotions throughout the film, and that's something to watch out for. When most heroines want to choose roles that make them look good on the big screen, Dushara seems to be one who wants to do roles that are closer to reality and stand the test of time. She effortlessly pulls off a complicated character here by adding a touch of realism to it. Her performance in the police station sequence where Arjun Das gets harassed is top-notch. (more)

Aneethi delves into social concerns, encompassing the challenges faced by delivery personnel and domestic helpers, the dangers associated with privatization, instances of police brutality, and the overwhelming isolation experienced by the elderly.

The first half of the story portrays the slapping reality of working class people and inequalities imposed on them. Also the movie has also made a depiction of mental illness and how people with mental reality are treated in the Indian society.

The idea is so fresh and maximum of the events are pretty natural and realistic. Vasanthabalan staged a main battle inside the 2 nd half with the presence of the complete forged and that is while the movie reaches every other degree. Most filmmakers present their main individual’s contamination with out a compelling backstory. But right here the flashback sequences within the 2 nd half of paintings and offer the proper lead for the climactic sequences.

Aneethi is backed with the brilliant performance of its casting stars. Be it Arjun Das’ role as an individual with OCD – Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or Dushara Vijayan’s role as a house help and lover, expressive acts by the other crew members and depiction of dark and real life themes by the director Vasanthabalan seems to be outstanding. Musicals by the music director G.V. Prakash has absolutely blended with the movie and its scenes.

Aneethi is not the darkest movie of director Vasanthabalan. But does expresses violence and blood in various of its scenes. The movie has a good portrayal, however, its to much emphasis on the life of the food delivery worker and capitalism seems to be imposed rather than a contemporary situation. The movie begins like a yet another romantic movie but grows darker with the plot development. The movie did have a predictable ending with usual commercial heroic victory against injustice through the means of injustices in order to strive.

In conclusion, “ Aneethi ” emerges as an exciting and thought-provoking film that fearlessly tackles pressing social issues plaguing our society. Directed by Vasanthabalan and with a talented cast, the film sheds light on the challenges of the working class, the dangers of privatization, police brutality and the agonizing isolation of the elderly. Powerful performances, lively storytelling and a haunting score by G.V. Prakash, the film leaves a lasting impression on its audience. Although Aneethi may be darker, it charms with its realistic and raw portrayal of the harsh realities of life and makes us think about the need for compassion and empathy in an ever-changing world.

Rathnam First Review: Vishal’s Action Thriller Is Engaging Masala Entertainer; To Be A Hit

Rathnam Review: After creating immense buzz in the town, Vishal starrer Rathnam is all set to hit the theatres on April 26. The movie, which is directed by Hari, has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year. The movie revolves around an angry man Rathnam who lives on the border of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and is on a quest to protect a young woman Janani from gangsters for undisclosed reasons.

Interestingly, Rathnam marks Vishal's third collaboration with director Hari after Thaamirabharani and Poojai. Also starring Priya Bhavani Shankar, Ramachandra Raju, Samuthirakani, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Yogi Babu, the movie was announced in April 2023 and is hitting the screens tomorrow. In a tweet shared by Yoagandran Raako and reshared by Amutha Bharathi, Rathnam is touted to be a masala entertainer. The tweet read as, "#Rathnam Director Hari is back to form. To note, Rathnam will be releasing in Telugu and Tamil language. In fac, it will be releasing over 500 screens in Tamil Nadu and global screen count of over 100 screens. It is also reported that Rathnam will have a runtime of around 2 hours and 36 minutes.

Meanwhile, Vishal called the movie a family entertainer and said, "The film has been in the spotlight because of the media. Devi Sri Prasad gave good music. I also want to thank the whole team and crew who worked on this project. Lead actress Priya Bhavani Shanka played an important role in the movie. Her character is the life of this film. The movie is full of entertainment and is a Paisa Vasool film"
