3 Minute Speech on Health is Wealth

Short speech on health is wealth.

Health is the biggest wealth for a human being in his/her entire lifetime. One can survive without excess money but can’t survive without good health. Health is something that we can’t buy with money but we can take care of it and we can cure it when needed with the help of the money. If a person is not having good health, he will not be able to enjoy his/her life to the fullest. Money doesn’t make a person rich and happy but good health does. Moreover, a person can’t feel complete and happy without good health.

speech on health is wealth

Good health is one of the main elements of happiness that a person needs in his/her life. We can see various people around us that are happy without having a lot of money. However, they are happy because they have good health and they enjoy their lives. We can also see many people that are having a lot of money and are rich enough to buy anything they want but still, they are not totally happy. Moreover, they are not satisfied with their lives. The reason behind the sadness of the rich people is mostly that they don’t have good health and they worry about this thing a lot. However, they can’t buy good health with their money.

How to get a Healthy Life?

If someone wants perfect health then, first of all, he/she has to improve the quality of the thoughts that generate and occur in their minds. When a person thinks positively then he\she improves his\her chemistry from within. For a healthy lifestyle, one should follow many rules and should also sacrifice many things in their daily routines. On the other hand, if a person spends half an hour on exercise daily then he/she will be able to eliminate the toxicity from the body.

Simple Ways for a Healthy Lifestyle

  • First of all, wake up early in the morning and do at least half an hour of physical and mental exercise of any type, whichever suits you the best.
  • Avoid or try to reduce the amount of intake of highly processed or toxic foods per day.
  • The easiest way is, increase water consumption on a daily basis.
  • Avoid soda drinks or drinks with artificial sugar content.
  • Also, it decreases the amount of consuming meat.
  • Start eating fish and vegetables as much as you can.
  • Avoid dairy products and alcohol as well.
  • Don’t eat fried foods or fast foods daily in excess quantity.
  • Spend some alone time and think positively about your future and present life. This brings positive vibes that boost up your positive energy.

Generally, a healthy lifestyle is the highest blessing that we should not take for granted. It is the main source of all the happiness in someone’s life. Money can help you in buying all the luxuries in this world but it cannot buy you good health. A person is totally responsible for his\her health and he\she has to take care of his\her health in all the possible ways by avoiding a few things and by adopting some new and good habits that lead to a healthy life. So, for well-being and happiness, it is important to switch to a healthy lifestyle.

Finally, we all are aware that our health is the most important wealth that we have. We know that we can earn money if once we lose it, but we can’t get back our good health easily if we lose it due to carelessness. Health is the only wealth we are born with and we even die with our health. So make a healthy lifestyle a priority.

Speech on Health and Fitness for Students and Children

Speech on health and fitness.

Hello everyone. I am here to present a speech on health and fitness. The very known two terms to us are the word ‘health’ and ‘fitness’. Many times we tell or use these words whenever we say phrases like ‘health is wealth’ and ‘fitness is the key’. What does the word health really mean? It implies the idea of ‘being well’. A healthy and fit person is the one when he/she can function well physically as well as mentally. Proper health and fitness do not depend on our own but also on our physical environment and the quality of food intake.

Health and fitness is the most important aspect of our life.  There is nothing more important than health for any human being.  When we are healthy and fit we are able to enjoy our life well. We can talk to our near and dear one, we can laugh, smile, travel, enjoy food, and sleep well.

But when our health and fitness is not up to the mark, we are unable to do anything properly and stay behind. We cannot enjoy eating, watching sports or movies.  Our mood always remains negative and we are unable to talk nicely with our near and dear or even sleep properly.

Our health and fitness are more valued than our wealth.  In fact, our elders were always been focused on the health and fitness part. They treasure it like wealth. To maintain good health and fitness at its best all the time, we need to take care of hygiene and sanitation around us.

We must eat a healthy and complete diet.  We must eat vegetables, milk, egg, etc. Everyone should make a diet chart and ensure that we take a sufficient amount of carbohydrates, proteins, minerals, and vitamins.  Apart from eating we must maintain cleanliness in our room, house and nearby surroundings.

Roots Affecting Health and Fitness

Well, there are many factors that are responsible for the staggering health and fitness graph. But the major reason is the personal habit and living style of people. A human body requires 20 gm fat per day. The consumption of just a regular pizza adds 10 grams of fat to the human body; a whopper burger blesses you with 13 gm fat and 100 gm French fries promote 15 gm fat to your body.

All the junk foods are destroying people’s health and fitness these days. Due to the fast-paced life, people are concerned about filling their stomachs rather than considering what they are eating and its effect on their health and body.

Health and Fitness tips

As we know that health and fitness play an important role in our overall wellbeing so we should try for a good balance between mind, body, and soul. I have some suggested activities to maintain proper health and fitness. One can start playing games and sports. An active body can metabolize well and so keep us in good shape.

Yoga has got a lot of health and fitness benefits such as flexibility, burn calories, increase blood flow, boosts immunity. Proper food selection leads to eating healthy. The intake of vitamins found in vegetables and fruits, proteins found in whole grains and lean meat keeps us healthy. Eat foods that have less oil are good to control cholesterol levels.

Avoid smoking and drinking as they affect our sleep which is important for the body to remain healthy and in good shape. Exercising improves the general health of the body. One must take at least thirty minutes a day to do some exercises or walk.

As told by Dalai Lama “Happiness is the highest form of health”. Happiness will come only when we will be healthy and fit. But today we live in a world where we value things more than people, work more than family, food more than health and status more than life.

We rush after money and social status and we forget about our health. What’s the value of life if we don’t live healthy and fit. This absurd attitude has ruined our lives and it will continue to do so unless we open up our eyes and see the reality.

Speech on Health

Table of Contents

  • FAQs on Speech on Health

When we say the word ‘health’, what do we mean by it? As per the WHO (World Health Organisation), health is referred to the state of full mental, social and physical well-being and not just the absence of mental or physical weakness or illness. When a person doesn’t have any physical ailments and isn’t mentally disturbed, then they can be said to be in their best health. People usually try to stay healthy but, due to the recent pandemic, it’s becoming difficult to maintain one’s health.

The spread of the corona virus over the past two years has made it difficult for everyone to maintain their health. Though this is the case, one should try to follow some simple ways that will help them keep their bodies and minds healthy. Let’s look at some ways that anyone can follow:

  • Try including some physical exercises/yoga in your routine. They not only prove to be beneficial for the body but also for the mind. For the past two years, offices, as well as schools and colleges, have been functioning online. As a result, many students and young people have developed backaches and posture problems. Adding at least half an hour of yoga/exercise to your daily routine will help you overcome these problems.
  • In today’s world, everybody is engrossed in their mobiles or laptops, and there’s very little time they spend without it. Sometimes, it is necessary to take a break from all these electronic and smart devices. This will help us maintain proper physical and mental health.
  • A good night’s sleep is an easy and effortless way to maintain your health. Your body works to repair all the cells and make sure that your body functions properly the next day in the time that you rest. A minimum of 8 hours of sleep is necessary for any adult being.
  • Try to avoid processed or fried foods and make sure that your plates include enough vegetables and fruits. A healthy platter does wonders for one’s health.
  • If you are feeling disturbed or upset about something, talk to your near and dear ones; you can also consult a specialist if you need. Just like physical health, mental health is also something that is to be considered important. When we fall ill, we have medicines; similarly, if someone is feeling mentally unwell, they should consult a specialist.

With the COVID19 pandemic going on for the past two years, one should take the following precautions to avoid getting affected by the virus. Here are some simple steps one can follow:

  • Always put on a mask whenever you step out of your houses. This is applicable to people of all ages.
  • Everyone should avoid going to crowded places as there is a high risk of getting affected.
  • If you feel you are affected by the virus, seclude yourself from the rest of your family members and keep in touch with your doctors so that everything is monitored and you stay out of danger.
  • Try to eat healthy food and fruits that’ll help you develop immunity.

Health is Wealth Speech for Students

Many of you have been made familiar with the phrase ‘Health Is Wealth’ in your school. Just like the phrase reads, the health of an individual plays an important role in our lives and is no less valuable than wealth. It is our sole responsibility to take proper care of our health and maintain a proper lifestyle to keep it healthy. By the term ‘Health’ , we not only define our physical health but also equally prioritize our mental health.

Thus, we have provided a long and short speech on health and fitness as a reference for the students. Speech on the importance of health is an important topic that must be introduced to all the students to help them be familiar with their mental as well as physical health. These speeches are provided for students of all categories along with a short 2 minute speech on health for the students of Class 1 and Class 2.

Long Speech on Health and Fitness in English

Given below is a long 500 words speech on health and fitness for the students of Class 7 to Class 12. This speech on the importance of health and fitness can be referred to by the students to prepare for their examination.

Greetings everyone! Today I have been provided with an opportunity to deliver a speech on fitness and how our health plays a major role in maintaining our mental as well as physical fitness. Since we are in a generation where everything around us is so technologically advanced and fast, we often get too dependent on machines and technology. Due to our fast-paced and busy schedule, we give less importance to physical fitness and mental health. As a result, all we have become is physically inactive and lazy. But with this are we all heading towards a healthy lifestyle? Sadly, the answer is no. Gone are the days where we used to walk to the nearest stores and take the stairs of our buildings. Also, we are more addicted to eating junk foods and ordering food from outside. Therefore, this has given rise to several diseases starting from cardiovascular diseases, obesity, depression and anxiety.

Although there have been several medical technologies and treatments that can get you out of it, all it takes to stop this thing is self-control and a healthy lifestyle. As the saying goes, ‘Health is Wealth’, an individual can only enjoy all the valuables of life if he/she/they is both physically and mentally healthy. The health of an individual plays a major role in his/her/their life and must be taken care of. In spite of our busy schedules, it is our responsibility to prioritize our health and involve ourselves in some kind of physical activity. Physical exercises need not be always strenuous, it can also be done in the form of walking, cycling, yoga and meditation that brings calmness to both mind and body.

But, is doing physical activity enough to stay healthy? Well, no. Most of the role to keep us healthy is played by the food we intake. It will be of no use if we intake junk and unhealthy food, rich in sugar and cholesterol levels and try to be healthy. Apart from exercising, it is equally important to drink plenty of water to keep ourselves hydrated. The level of fitness totally depends on the amount of activity our body can perform and the food we consume. Thus, inculcating a habit of eating healthy foods such as fruits, green vegetables and essential vitamins is really important.

I hope this health is wealth speech was really helpful in motivating you all to stay physically and mentally healthy. So, it’s high time that we really put our health over everything and take proper care of it. Lastly, I would like to thank all of you for being here today and listening to my speech.

Short Speech on Health and Hygiene

A short speech on health and hygiene is given below as a reference for the students of Class 3 to Class 6. This health y speech in English is given in a simple language to help them understand the topic better and prepare them for any speech competition or exam.

A very warm welcome to everyone present here. Today, I am going to deliver a speech on health and hygiene. These two are strongly associated with each other because it is very important to maintain a hygienic environment to stay healthy. This can be done by maintaining cleanliness and incorporating the habit of hygiene in our lives.

Living an unhygienic lifestyle can lead to several skin diseases and infections. The health of a person determines how much a person is physically fit and active. When it comes to taking care of health, several factors come into play which includes eating healthy food, doing regular exercises, having a proper sleep cycle and maintaining oral hygiene. We have been taught since our childhood to brush our teeth twice a day and avoid eating sugary foods to prevent bad breath and cavity. But many of us often forget to inculcate these healthy habits in our daily life. Our daily schedule has become so busy that we often end up ignoring our health, which in the long term, affects our body.

We can start leading a healthy life by taking small steps towards it such as switching from junk foods to fruits and vegetables, drinking plenty of water and walking every day for at least an hour. This, as a result, will help us concentrate well on our work and lead a life full of fitness.

An informative speech aims to convey knowledge and raise awareness on a particular issue. Persuasive topics for discussion won’t suit here, as you should inform rather than convince the audience.

In fact, informative speeches are everywhere! You give them whenever you:

So, the best way to produce an efficient, informative speech is to identify which information your listeners need and build on what they already know.

Types of Informative Speech Topics on Mental Health

1. definition speech.

A definition speech identifies the components of an idea and shares them. You can approach this type of mental health informative speech topic by tracing the history of studying a disorder. Alternatively, you can decompose the subject to educate the audience on its nature.

Here’s a checklist to see whether your speech is good:

2. Explanatory Speech

An explanatory speech details how something works . It aims to familiarize the audience with a complex or abstract idea. This type is common in professional contexts. One example of an explanatory speech in real life is instructing psychology students on various therapy methods.

Here’s how you can check yourself:

3. Descriptive Speech

Words can work better than pictures in describing the physical and emotional symptoms of a mental disorder. It helps college students understand the illness better and realize what it means to live with it. Besides, most case study assignments are written as descriptions.

Before delivering the speech, be sure to check the following:

4. Demonstrative Speech

Demonstrative speeches can be easily mixed up with explanatory ones, as they also explain how something is done. The difference is that this type doesn’t dwell on the reasons why such actions are appropriate. A good example of a demonstrative speech topic about mental health for this purpose would be “How to help a person who has suicidal thoughts” (and any other “how-to” ideas.)

What's Inside?

What Is An Informative Speech?

speech topics health

Informative speeches use study and factual data to educate the audience about a certain subject. These may consist of an original point of view, gripping narrative, or a potent lesson.

Informative speeches are not intended to be celebratory toasts or inauguration addresses; rather, their main purpose is to impart knowledge.

Six main categories of instructive talks exist:

Definition speeches: These are talks that elucidate a theory or notion. For example, a topic that starts with "What is...?" usually points to an educational discourse that is definitional in nature.

Speeches that Explain Things: These speeches try to explain how something works, such as how the brain processes information or how an electric car operates.

Demonstrative presentations: These "how-to" presentations homework, which frequently include visual aids, walk the audience through carrying out an activity, like boosting productivity or preparing a healthy meal.

Comparative speeches: Through the comparison or contrast of two alternatives, presenters assist the audience in understanding the parallels or divergences between various subjects. A speech might assess the benefits and drawbacks of private versus public education, for instance.

Speeches that Define: These speeches highlight the importance of the issue by describing a person, place, or object. A student might teach their friends about a historical figure, for example, while an entrepreneur might go over the details of a product proposal.

Informative speeches that are persuasive: Although persuasive speeches are usually different from informative speeches, certain informative speeches can be persuasive in nature by employing proof to persuade the audience of the superiority of a specific approach or viewpoint.

A salesperson might, for instance, make a presentation to convince customers to select their services, whereas a mental health advocate might suggest doing regular yoga.

200 Best Medical Persuasive Speech Topics

You have to write a medical persuasive speech but have no idea the topic to choose. Worry not. This guide highlights the best 200 medical persuasive speech topics you can write about in your academic assignment. 200 Best Medical Persuasive Speech Topics:

As a medical student, you have to write speeches regularly in college. Your professor can provide a topic or ask you to find medical persuasive speech topics to write about. Many students find it challenging to choose the best topics to grab the attention of their professors.

With this guide, you do not have to worry anymore about medical persuasive speech topics to use. Before looking at the issues, it is essential to understand the definition and the features of the best medical persuasive speech topics.

What is a medical persuasive speech?

A medical persuasive speech is a type of writing intended to convince the audience in the medical field to adopt a particular perspective. The aim is not easily attainable, and the success of the speech is measured by the capability to convince the audience to take a specific stand.

Features of good medical persuasive speech topics

In all likelihood, you could create a compelling, instructive medical persuasive speech on any topic. Finding a fascinating subject, however, that will attract a crowd and be illuminating enough to make your point is a difficult line to navigate.

Consider it similar to drafting a research report. You must establish a focus. It must be focused enough to suit a speech while allowing you to access reputable sources and relevant information.

As your audience will have to attempt to comprehend your speech if it diverges in various directions, this is also crucial for organization and structure. To determine an aspect or a perspective for your issue using the 5 Ws of a problem – solving skills, consider the following, according to Lumen Learning:

  • Who is affected by your topic or problem?
  • Why is this subject significant? What drives the exploration of it?
  • What is the most crucial argument or point of view?
  • What regions of the globe does the topic affect, or where is it located?
  • When was/is, this topic discussed? Is time a crucial component?

This is an essential feature of good medical persuasive speech topics. Choose a topic that is not very common to avoid the debate areas that have already been exhausted. To come up with unique issues, try researching new and trending topics.

  • Should be interesting

Finding good medical persuasive speech topics can be challenging since you want to be unique and engaging while providing your audience with enough information. A medical speech might quickly lose its interest or become dull.

When choosing medical persuasive speech topics, ensure you select an interesting topic for you and your audience. Consider areas that you love most in the field of medical research. Ensure that the subject is realistic in complexity and magnitude. To find an exciting topic, you should conduct thorough research and consider your audience’s preferences.

  • Choose a topic that appeals to your audience

When choosing a speech topic for your medical paper, keep your audience in mind. Consider the experiences and knowledge of your audience to deliver your speech effectively. Selecting appealing topics will lead to composing an excellent medical persuasive speech.

One of the most crucial characteristics of compelling medical persuasive speech topics is this. It requires ensuring that your presentation topic is appropriate for the occasion. Regardless of how entertaining the ideas for persuasive speeches could be, they must be suitable for the occasion. For instance, persuasive speech topics on diabetes might not be appropriate for an event on autism.

  • Use simple language

Your topic or issue must be appropriate for the listeners you are addressing. For instance, in a beginner-level lesson, you should be careful not to use too much scientific or technical jargon that your audience won’t comprehend when discussing a recent scientific discovery. Regardless of the topic, you’re writing about, the most common and fastest method of losing your audience’s interest is to employ excessive jargon or niche-specific language.

Your creative options may be severely constrained when given a specific theme. The key is in your writings and communicating when that occurs, and you’re working on a hardly engaging subject.

  • Get facts right

When you give a medical speech to a crowd, you assist them in learning more about a particular issue by providing details and facts about it. As a result, you must ensure the information you provide comes from dependable, accurate, and authoritative sources. Begin brainstorming and list anything you can think of that relates to your theme. Then, make an effort to address any gaps using research.

To ensure that you’re developing a unique and convincing opinion that won’t mislead anyone, adhere to textbooks, reports, research, scholarly journal articles, and other peer-reviewed resources. Verify your sources for bias.

Don’t rely on resources from a vegan blog, for instance, if you’re producing an educational speech about the effects of the meat business on the environment. Use scientific and technical studies that offer precise, verifiable information that isn’t distorted by personal prejudice or point of view.

When evaluating the integrity and dependability of a resource for persuasive essay topics medical field, use the CARS Checklist:

  • C – Credibility (verify the author’s background and the reliability of the sources they cite)
  • A – Accuracy (search for comprehensive facts and entire information, and make sure there are no gaps)
  • R – Reasonableness (search for a fair, valid argument that’s not opinion-biased)
  • S – Support (verify reader comments and any endorsements publicly disclosed by other subject-matter experts)

Research Methodologies in Public Health

Public health research employs various methodologies, including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches. Each method brings its own strengths to the research process, allowing researchers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the complex issues they investigate.

Community-based participatory research is another valuable approach, emphasizing collaboration with communities to address their specific health concerns.

Challenges and Opportunities in Public Health Research

While public health research is immensely rewarding, it comes with its own set of challenges. Funding constraints, ethical dilemmas, the need for interdisciplinary collaboration, and the integration of technology pose both obstacles and opportunities.

Researchers must navigate these challenges to ensure their work has a meaningful impact on public health.

In conclusion, public health research topics are diverse and dynamic, reflecting the complex nature of the field. As researchers embark on their journeys, they must carefully consider the relevance, impact, and ethical implications of their chosen topics.

The collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of public health research positions it as a powerful tool in addressing the health challenges of our time. By exploring the depths of these topics, researchers contribute to the collective effort to build healthier and more equitable communities.

As we move forward, a continued exploration of relevant public health research topics is essential for shaping the future of healthcare and improving the well-being of populations worldwide.

Moscow's Top Cancer Hospital Under Pressure Amidst Drive for Health Care Privatization

On November 8, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin signed an order  into law stripping Moscow City Oncological Hospital No. 62, one of Russia's most well-regarded cancer hospitals, of its status as an autonomous institution. In the technocratic parlance of Moscow city officials, the hospital had been “optimized,” coming under the budgetary purview of the city government, and ostensibly improving the institution's efficiency.

But to many, the reclassification of Hospital No. 62 seemed less like an optimization than a step towards closure —part of a broader  movement towards the privatization of the Russian health care system, which is supposed to provide free health services to the country’s 140 million citizens. Indeed, less than three weeks after Sobyanin signed the order, the hospital's chief physician resigned and doctors began wondering about their institution's future. With private hospitals replacing public hospitals around Moscow, and with remaining public hospitals becoming increasingly overburdened and underfunded, many question how long the existing system can hold out.
