Why my dad is my inspiration, thank you for everything..

Why My Dad Is My Inspiration

It's true that I am a mommy's girl at heart. I tell her everything about my life, about what's going on throughout my day and anything in between. Since I've gone to college, though, I've found myself creating a new relationship with my dad, one that I wish I would have begun long, long ago.

My dad has done everything for me. He drove me and my brother to school every single day from the first day of Pre-K to the day I was able to drive to school. He went to see every musical I was in, cheered me on at (almost) every sports game I've played and has supported me in every decision I've made. My dad was the one who taught me how to ride a bike and how to drive. He was the one who watched every Disney channel show and movie with me time and time again (he knows every line to most of these shows and movies, too). He was the one who took me on walks around the neighborhood when I was little. He was the one I played catch with in our yard and sledded with when it snowed.

As I grew older, I found my father to be more of annoyance than anything else, and I hardly ever had conversations with him that lasted more than a few minutes or spanned beyond the questions of, "How are you doing today?" or, "How was your day at school?"

Now, years later, the separation from him has shown me just how much I appreciate him and how much I love him. My dad and I are the same person; we think the same way, we agree on the same things and we understand each other more than anybody else. My dad has provided me with advice and life lessons that I will carry with me until the day I die. After years of a sub-par relationship, my dad has selflessly forgiven me and my bratty teenage behavior years ago and accepted me for who I am today.

After many long talks with my father that have, at times, lasted hours, I have found that not only are we very similar, but he is someone who I aspire to be more like each and every day. He is at peace with himself and who he is, he has overcome more than his fair share of obstacles over his life, and most importantly, he is selfless and cares for each person who he comes into contact with. These are only a few of the traits that I wish I could acquire from him.

Looking back at how much I took my father for granted, I truly wish I could go back and change my behavior toward him when I was younger. As I grow older and wiser, I have come to appreciate the growing relationship I have made with my dad. He inspires me to be a better person and to accept people for who they are. He reminds me to put myself first, and to learn to love myself.

So this is a thank you, Dad, for everything. I love you.

Unlocking lake people's secrets: 15 must-knows, there's no other place you'd rather be in the summer..

The people that spend their summers at the lake are a unique group of people.

Whether you grew up going to the lake , have only recently started going, or have only been once or twice, you know it takes a certain kind of person to be a lake person. To the long-time lake people, the lake holds a special place in your heart , no matter how dirty the water may look.

Every year when summer rolls back around, you can't wait to fire up the boat and get back out there. Here is a list of things you can probably identify with as a fellow lake-goer.

A bad day at the lake is still better than a good day not at the lake.

It's your place of escape, where you can leave everything else behind and just enjoy the beautiful summer day. No matter what kind of week you had, being able to come and relax without having to worry about anything else is the best therapy there is. After all, there's nothing better than a day of hanging out in the hot sun, telling old funny stories and listening to your favorite music.

You know the best beaches and coves to go to.

Whether you want to just hang out and float or go walk around on a beach, you know the best spots. These often have to be based on the people you're with, given that some "party coves" can get a little too crazy for little kids on board. I still have vivid memories from when I was six that scared me when I saw the things drunk girls would do for beads.

You have no patience for the guy who can't back his trailer into the water right.

When there's a long line of trucks waiting to dump their boats in the water, there's always that one clueless guy who can't get it right, and takes 5 attempts and holds up the line. No one likes that guy. One time my dad got so fed up with a guy who was taking too long that he actually got out of the car and asked this guy if he could just do it for him. So he got into the guy's car, threw it in reverse, and got it backed in on the first try. True story.

Doing the friendly wave to every boat you pass.

Similar to the "jeep wave," almost everyone waves to other boats passing by. It's just what you do, and is seen as a normal thing by everyone.

The cooler is always packed, mostly with beer.

Alcohol seems to be a big part of the lake experience, but other drinks are squeezed into the room remaining in the cooler for the kids, not to mention the wide assortment of chips and other foods in the snack bag.

Giving the idiot who goes 30 in a "No Wake Zone" a piece of your mind.

There's nothing worse than floating in the water, all settled in and minding your business, when some idiot barrels through. Now your anchor is loose, and you're left jostled by the waves when it was nice and perfectly still before. This annoyance is typically answered by someone yelling some choice words to them that are probably accompanied by a middle finger in the air.

You have no problem with peeing in the water.

It's the lake, and some social expectations are a little different here, if not lowered quite a bit. When you have to go, you just go, and it's no big deal to anyone because they do it too.

You know the frustration of getting your anchor stuck.

The number of anchors you go through as a boat owner is likely a number that can be counted on two hands. Every once in a while, it gets stuck on something on the bottom of the lake, and the only way to fix the problem is to cut the rope, and you have to replace it.

Watching in awe at the bigger, better boats that pass by.

If you're the typical lake-goer, you likely might have an average-sized boat that you're perfectly happy with. However, that doesn't mean you don't stop and stare at the fast boats that loudly speed by, or at the obnoxiously huge yachts that pass.

Knowing any swimsuit that you own with white in it is best left for the pool or the ocean.

You've learned this the hard way, coming back from a day in the water and seeing the flowers on your bathing suit that were once white, are now a nice brownish hue.

The momentary fear for your life as you get launched from the tube.

If the driver knows how to give you a good ride, or just wants to specifically throw you off, you know you're done when you're speeding up and heading straight for a big wave. Suddenly you're airborne, knowing you're about to completely wipe out, and you eat pure wake. Then you get back on and do it all again.

You're able to go to the restaurants by the water wearing minimal clothing.

One of the many nice things about the life at the lake is that everybody cares about everything a little less. Rolling up to the place wearing only your swimsuit, a cover-up, and flip flops, you fit right in. After a long day when you're sunburned, a little buzzed, and hungry, you're served without any hesitation.

Having unexpected problems with your boat.

Every once in a while you're hit with technical difficulties, no matter what type of watercraft you have. This is one of the most annoying setbacks when you're looking forward to just having a carefree day on the water, but it's bound to happen. This is just one of the joys that come along with being a boat owner.

Having a name for your boat unique to you and your life.

One of the many interesting things that make up the lake culture is the fact that many people name their boats. They can range from basic to funny, but they are unique to each and every owner, and often have interesting and clever meanings behind them.

There's no better place you'd rather be in the summer.

Summer is your all-time favorite season, mostly because it's spent at the lake. Whether you're floating in the cool water under the sun, or taking a boat ride as the sun sets, you don't have a care in the world at that moment . The people that don't understand have probably never experienced it, but it's what keeps you coming back every year.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why i chose a small school over a big university..

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin ." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.

1. My school is incredibly unique.

There are so many different kinds of people that each bring something really special to contribute to the school which makes it so unique.

2. I am not just a number at my school.

I am a student that my professors know about and I like knowing that my professors can watch my progress.

3. I feel like I am contributing something to the community.

I like feeling like I can make a difference on my campus.

4. I really do feel like it is my home away from home.

It isn't just my school. It is absolutely my home away from home. I feel so comfortable there and it was as hard of an adjustment as I had thought it would be.

5. My professors know me and I feel that I can easily communicate with them.

I feel like they will do anything to help students succeed. I can always go to my professors. I like knowing that I have someone looking out for me.

6. The incredible people I've met

The people I have met at my school, even after my first year, have made such a huge impact on me. I know that these are people that I will stay friends with long after college is done.

7. Opportunities

My school offers so many different opportunities to get involved in things around campus. Even writing for the Odyssey was an opportunity offered to me by my school and I decided to challenge myself by writing an article. Turns out, I really enjoy writing. I might not have had this opportunity at a bigger school.

8. Students want to learn

I feel as though I am not just learning inside the classroom at my school. I am learning outside the classroom to from my fellow classmates who want to engage about the things we have learned.

9. Ability to join a sorority and have a house full of people I know I can talk to anytime I need to

I wasn't sure if being in a sorority was something I was interested in but when I met the amazing people in the sorority and how inclusive it was, I knew that it was going to be a good thing for me. The people I've met in my sorority have been so amazing.

10. I have figured out how I learn best because my school offers so many different ways of learning.

Because of the smaller class sizes, there is more flexibility in the way the class is taught. This was helpful because I was able to try out different ways of learning and figure out which way I learn best.

7 New Year Clichés: Break Free, Embrace Change!

Those that everyone know.

It's 2024! You drank champagne, you wore funny glasses, and you watched the ball drop as you sang the night away with your best friends and family . What comes next you may ask? Sadly you will have to return to the real world full of work and school and paying bills. "Ah! But I have my New Year's Resolutions!"- you may say. But most of them are 100% complete cliches that you won't hold on to. Here is a list of those things you hear all around the world.

1. "I will be serious about working out"

Are you? Odds are you will get that gym membership, go for a few weeks, and completely forget about it. You will realize that autopay is taking $80 out of your account and you either need to cancel or start going again. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be in better shape, but do it at a pace that is right for you. Don't let the change in year dictate it.

2. "New year new me!"

This cliche is the most over used and most underdone. Every year we hear "New Year New Me!!", and the most that comes out of it is someone dyes their hair or gets a tattoo . Yes, these are life changing attributes to a person, and everyone should be commended for trying new things, but don't try to change you just because its a new year. Stay true to yourself.

3. "I'm going to be more outgoing!"

Being adventurous is always a great thing! Stepping out of your comfort zone is always exhilarating, but don't force yourself to do things that make you feel uncomfortable. So are you really going to go out, or will you continue to watch Netflix and go to the same restaurants. The choice is yours!

4. "I'm going to get more organized "

Trying to get organized is a great feat few of us can manage. It's always good to do a big spring cleaning, but trying to completely organize everything is trying to change how you live. I know when I try to do something like get a new planner, I either stick to it or I forget about it.

5. "I'm leaving my bad relationships in the past!"

Bad influences won't go away in your life if you wish them to stay in another year. Work hard at this one if you are going to make it one of your New Years cliches. Toxic relationships should stay in the past, but it is up to you to keep them out of your life.

6. "I'm going to party less"

Party as much as you want. There is nothing wrong of going out and having fun as long as you are safe doing it. If partying is what you enjoy doing, then that is okay. Not everyone conforms to that lifestyle, but if that is your thing there is no shame in that! Don't leave it in another year because you think you have to.

7. "I'm going to get more serious about my career/schooling"

This is the cliche that you should stick to. It's never a bad thing to be more focused on your career and school, as long as you don't lose sight of the important things. If you get serious, make sure you make time for your family, friends, and most importantly, yourself.

The Ultimate Birthday: Unveiling the Perfect Day to Celebrate!

Let's be real, the day your birthday falls on could really make or break it..

You heard it here first: birthdays in college are some of the best days of your four years. For one day annually, you get to forget about your identity as a stressed, broke, and overworked student, and take the time to celebrate. You can throw your responsibilities for a day, use your one skip in that class you hate, receive kind cards and gifts from loved ones and just enjoy yourself.

Having just celebrated my birthday this past Thursday, the most common question I received from people all day and night was, “Is your birthday actually today?” I realized that, for many, they have the misfortune of either having a birthday in the summer , or on a day that wasn’t ideal for them to celebrate on.

Your birthday celebration is a special day, and it is important to make the most out of it. I decided to take the initiative and make a definitive list that will show you the best day to have a birthday, in descending order according to their rank:

If your birthday falls on a Monday, it just might be an unlucky year for you. Monday is, hands down, the worst day to have a birthday. Everyone else is focused on how stressful the week ahead of them will be, and are still recovering from the weekend. If you celebrate the weekend before, that’s too far in advance, and celebrating the weekend after feels too far away. It’s a lose/lose, unfortunately.

While not as unlucky as a Monday, a Tuesday is in a similar situation. Most are still feeling down as so much of the week lies ahead, and often, big assignments are due on Wednesday. Of course, a Tequila and TacoTuesday could be an option (for those turning 21 or older, of course), but that’s about the most you can do.

Taking the fifth spot is Sunday. By the time Sunday comes around, everyone’s pretty exhausted. However, it still is a very relaxing day, that would make for a pretty good birthday. You have the entire day to spend how you want, no class, few commitments, if any. Plus, you can always celebrate the night before. Your birthday technically starts at midnight, right?

4. Wednesday

Honestly, the most I can say about this is Wine Wednesday. The week is still young, though. Hopefully you have an easy Thursday and Friday ahead of you, however, if not, the birthday could go south. Either way, it’s definitely right in the middle in terms of the best day of the week to have a birthday on.

3. Thursday

I can speak from personal experience, this is a pretty great day to have a birthday. My 11 a.m. French exam the next morning wasn’t ideal, however, there’s nothing better than a Thirsty Thursday (again, 21 and up only). It gives you the whole weekend ahead of you. However, it’s right at the beginning of the weekend, and not everyone has the ability to celebrate on Thursday, as it is still a weeknight.

2. Saturday

Saturdays are special because a Saturday birthday is an all day affair. You celebrate from first thing in the morning, all the way through the night. You can grab a dinner with friends, the whole day is yours for the taking. The only downside is that it doesn’t lay right in the middle of the weekend, it’s on the last day.

The final consensus is that Friday is, in fact, the best day for your birthday to fall on. Right in the center of the weekend, you can really make anything you want out of your birthday. You’ve claimed the right to an entire weekend, and all of your week’s responsibilities come to a close at the end of your Friday school day. You can even skip that class you hate so much. Those who have a Friday birthday this year: consider yourself blessed.

In the end, a birthday is a birthday. No matter what day yours falls on, you have every right to live it up, and have yourself a day!

Essay on My Father

List of essays on my father, essay on my father – my role model and my friend (essay 1 – 500 words), essay on my father – for kids and children (essay 2 – 750 words), essay on my father – long essay for school students (essay 3 – 800 words).

Audience: The below given essays are exclusively written for school students (Class 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Standard).

Introduction:

My father is my hero and guide in my life. He is the one I look upon whenever I find myself in trouble. My father has been my guiding force for all my major decisions in life. In fact, I have never regretted adhering to his advice as it has always worked for me. He is a hardworking and passionate person. My father has a love for movies. Whenever he gets time, he just loves to watch an old movie. In fact, at times we just fight as to who gets control of the television. But at heart, we love to tease each other and play as well.

My father does not like to sit idle. At times, on holidays if he finds me and my sister doing nothing and just idling our time, he gives us some task or the other. He is also much organised and keeps all his documents in a properly organised manner.

My Father – My Role Model:

My father is my role model for many reasons. First and foremost I admire his passion for work. That is why he is so respected in his office as well. He is always there to help his colleagues even if it is not his work. In fact, one can always see him spending weekends helping others out. Moreover, my father is a simple man. He does not like expensive things and lives an easy and peaceful life. Also, he never shouts on anyone of us. I wonder if he ever gets angry on anything as he takes everything so calmly and takes his time to decide upon things.

My Father – My Friend:

My father is my friend as well. I can discuss everything with my father, even those that I dare not speak in front of my mother. I know that he shall keep it a secret and give the advice I need. He is the one whom I can rely upon blindly during any hour of need, and I know that he shall be there for me.

Importance of My Father in My Life:

My father plays an important role in the family. He is in fact considered as the head of the family. However, I feel that both father and mother have a distinctive role to play in bringing up their children. While on hand my mother has s soft heart, it is my father who shows courage and strength which his children will later on imbibe as their qualities. He can be firm at times, but be rest assured it is always for the benefit of the children.

Conclusion:

There is no doubt that my father’s role is vital in my life. His presence is vital for maintaining the balance and peace in my family. A father is the one who earns the badge of the stricter parent and whose denial of permission for anything means a lot to the children. I also admire my father and try to imbibe his qualities so that I become like him when I grow up.

My father is a person who takes care of my family and loves each one of us dearly. My father acts as the pillar of support and strength for my family.

My father is the person that I admire the most in my life. I can never forget all the childhood memories that I have with him. It is safe for me to say that my father is largely the reason behind my present joy and happiness. I can say that I am the person who I am today and the person that I am growing to be, is all because of the influence he has had and is having on me. He always makes time to play with me and catch up on all the happenings in my life even after the hard work of the day.

My father is one man who is very unique and different. I always feel lucky anytime I remember that he is my father knowing how he has done the very best for me in life. I always feel grateful that I have the opportunity to be his son and be a part of a wonderful family that has a great father like him. My father has shown himself to be a very peaceful and polite person. He seldom scolds me and he is always easy with me. What he tries to do is that he makes sure that I realise the mistake that I have made in a very polite way and helps me to get better and this has been working like magic for many years now.

My father is the leader and head of our family. He is always there for every member of the family to help us in times when we need his advice and direction in taking decisions. Anytime we have a problem, we take it to him, he tries to help us by sharing some of the problems that he also faced in the past that are quite similar to our problem and how he was able to overcome them. He also shares all of his achievements and drawbacks in life and tells us to learn from them.

My father has his personal online marketing business but he never insists any of his children to pursue a career in that same field so that we can take over after him. He does not even try to attract any of us to his business but he tries to teach how we can discover our own passion and fields of interest in life. He does his best to encourage us in the pursuance of our various dreams. I can boldly say that my dad is a very good dad and this is not as a result of him always helping me and being nice to me but because he shows great strength, knowledge, a good helping and nice nature. He also owns very good human relations skills.

My father’s parents were very poor when he was growing up but with hard work and patience, my father was able to become very rich. He uses this as an example to encourage me to always work hard.

I share all of my happy, sad and bad moments with him and he also does the same. He is always around to share with me all of his life experiences and how I can learn from them. My father also tells me all about his day and every event that occurred during the day. He is doing all his best to ensure that I grow up to become a very successful person that has good character and behaviour.

My father always teaches me ethics, humanity and etiquettes of life that can help me in future. My father is always ready and willing to help the people who are needy around us and he tells us that giving is the most important thing in life. My father also teaches my siblings and me how to be happy, healthy and fit throughout our lives.

My father has shown himself to be very good to all the members of my extended family. If anyone of us is facing a particular problem, my father is usually the first person we go to for advice and help. My father has over the years proven to be a person who has a very kind heart and I can boldly say that he is my best friend and my hero.

About My Father:

Appa was born in Coimbatore, the second son and third child in a family of 11 children. His father, my grandfather was a stern man, a respected civil engineer who worked for the colonial British government.

Appa attended the Rishi Valley School in Yercaud, founded on the learning philosophy of Jiddu Krishnamurthy. There he learned the value of discipline, respect for hard work, honesty, responsibility and constant learning. He studied electrical engineering at Banaras Hindu University and went on to join Voltas Limited’s air conditioning division. He worked there the rest of his life, and was regarded as brilliant and a genius.

My childhood memories of him are as a stern, strict and not very communicative man. He’d crack the most unhumorous Dad jokes and we’d all grimace and laugh dutifully.

He felt a deep and abiding sense of responsibility towards his own family of birth as well as his marital family. The modest salary he always earned would be divided between these two families, and since he was terrible at currying favour or promoting himself, he never rose within the ranks of Voltas and his income remained quite pathetic till he died. This officially made us a lower-middle class family and our childhoods were frugal, thrifty and austere. A little money meant a lot.

Despite these constraints, Appa planned our futures successfully. When his provident funds were released after his retirement, he used the entire amount, augmented by a bank loan, to buy a house in his two sons’ names. For the rest of our lives, we had a roof over our heads.

Why I like my father:

One of the most remarkable things about Appa was the number of things he was interested in. In Calcutta, he would spend hours outside a tailor’s shop watching him make clothes. After several months, he bought himself a Singer sewing machine. From then, all our clothes, including winter school uniforms, were stitched by him.

He taught himself carpentry — and constructed the sofa sets we used for decades.

He learned dry cleaning — and from then, we would go to school smelling of kerosene in winter.

He was an outstanding cook, and loved cooking. When my mother was immobilized with lymphatic TB, he’d cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for the family in the morning before leaving for work.

Best of all, he was a brilliant musician, gifted in playing the vichitra veena. He had his own Carnatic ‘band’ with a flutist and a mridangam player.

Things I Learned from My Father:

I have slowly realised how much of who I am was shaped by who he was. Like him, I never get bored, and remain fascinated by everything in life. I’m constantly active doing something constructive or educational. I am today two years younger than he was when he died but have started learning to play piano, understand search engine optimisation, UX design and painting.

I learned from him that generosity is a state of mind, not a state of wallet. The number of nameless, faceless poor people he had helped was long, as we learned only after he died. Never demeaning his beneficiaries with a handout, he invited them to repay at their time and speed, but made sure that they did, thus restoring their self-respect.

Without ever speaking about it, he has shown me what it means to be a father, and the meaning of selfless living.

A single incident sums up my relationship with my dad. He wanted me to join the IIT and become an engineer. I wanted to be a writer, a profession he disdained as having no future. Headstrong, in 1969, I stepped out of the train in which my family was relocating from Delhi to Bombay just as the whistle blew. I was bent on living my life my way.

My father, deeply upset, cut me off without a paisa, saying I could jolly well support myself if I was so confident about writing. And so I did, earning enough through writing for the evening papers to pay my rent, college fees and food. Six months later, my father, passing through Delhi in December, visited me to check how his strong-headed son was doing, and saw for himself that I was surviving well enough without borrowing or begging. He visibly swelled with pride.

He hugged me, in one action forgiving me but also forgiving himself. He used the 400 rupees he had received as a Christmas bonus to buy me utensils, a mattress, and other basics.

From that day, he would proudly say, “My son followed his heart rather than my head — and see what a fine job he has done.”

He is everything to me, right from the source of motivation, and inspiration to a guiding light in my entire life journey. His dedication to our family is commendable. He literally works all day and sometimes night too, just to give us a better lifestyle. He strives every single minute to provide us with everything that we deserve at the cost of his own desires. He is just selflessly committed to our happiness.

His work ethic is a source of valuable lessons for me. His early childhood education gave me lifelong lessons and teachings that he just serves on a plate before us can be hard to understand but are fruitful enough to bless our entire lives with the best of all. Whether we talk about his advice on facing challenges, making ethical decisions, or simply navigating the complexities of life, he has been a super savior for the entire family life long. A true example of unconditional love is a father in any child’s life. He can be bitter at times but can be sweet as sugar too. He can even fight with you to keep you on the right track and protect you from any hurdles that may come your way.

Right from the source of happiness to a bundle of motivation, he is everything to the entire family. A father is like a shield in this melting weather, nobody can harm his child if he is there.

Essay on My Father in 500 Words

A father has a unique place in our hearts and lives. He is my protector, provider, and role model. In my entire life, my father has been playing all these roles without even complaining a single time or even without crying or getting upset. His only and foremost motivation is our smiling faces, fulfilled needs, and a decent lifestyle. He goes to work every morning and returns home in the evening with something to eat for us constantly without fail. He bought us new clothes every Diwali but never got himself even a pair of new shoes. His presence and influence have shaped me the who I am today, fearless, respectful, and independent.

From my early childhood days, I recall his comforting presence, that if he was there no negative energy could even come close to me or nobody could do any harm to me. Right from teaching me how to walk to teaching me how to ride a bicycle, my father has been an unwavering support for me. He always stands with me whenever I need his help, he guides me well during my challenging time. His unshook confidence in me and my capabilities gives me the strength to achieve my dreams and make him proud of myself.

Out of many one of the most remarkable qualities of my father is his wisdom. His life experiences and enriched understanding of the world have been a source of learning all throughout my life. I have never seen him crying, or getting weak. He always stays strong shares positive ora with everybody in the family and stays a one-stop solution to all our problems. My father’s work ethic is another aspect of his character that I deeply admire. He has always believed in the value of hard work and dedication. Witnessing his commitment to providing for our family has given me a strong work ethic. I have learned that success is not merely the result of talent or luck but rather a result of constant effort and determination.

My father’s love for learning has left a deep impact on me. He is a seeker of knowledge for me. His curiosity and enthusiasm for discovering new things have inspired me so much in my own educational journey. Also, these factors have made a great impact on my personal growth. He has taught me that learning is a lifelong journey and that knowledge is the only way to deal with all the complex situations of life. Apart from his wisdom and values, my father carries a great sense of humor. His ability to find joy and laughter in everyday situations has taught me not to take life too seriously. His laughter and humor have been a source of comfort during challenging times. I love the way he softly balances family and life, even though it pushes so many difficult situations in front of him. He never broke, instead, he gets stronger and responsible enough to handle these things, so that the bad situations do not reach out to us.

So, start the essay on my father…

Table of Contents

Essay on My Father (1000+ Words)

Typically, people speak of mother’s love and appreciation, and often overlook the father’s attention. Mother’s love is talked extensively around anywhere, in film, in series, and much more.

What we fail to recognize, though, is the power of a parent who always gets overlooked. My father is a gift which not many citizens see in their lives.

It’d be incorrect to assume that every dad is the perfect hero for his kids, and it is not the case. However, I will voucher for my dad without even any second thoughts until it comes to becoming an ideal man.

How different is my father?

As everyone wants to assume that their father is exceptional, so do me. However, this belief is not purely based on the passion I have for him but also on his character.

My father has a company and is very diligent in all facets of life. My father is one of those who told me to exercise still professionalism, no matter what kind of work I do.

Most notably, he has a pleasant disposition and always makes my mom laugh with his dumb shenanigans, and after 27 months of the relationship.

I totally enjoy this dumb side of him when he’s around his relatives. He does his hardest to satisfy all our desires, but he still retains strictness whenever the need arises.

My childhood memories about him are a stern, strict, or not very conversational man. He would crack its most funny jokes of Dad, and we’ll all laugh and smile.

He felt a persevering and robust sense of obligation for his own birth family and also his marital ones.

The meager paycheck that he always received would be shared between such two families, so when he was bad in currying favor or supporting himself, my father did not rise inside the ranks, so his profits remained very mirage until he passed.

This formally made us a low-income family, so our childhoods were thrifty, frugal, and austere. A little bit of money mattered a lot.

In spite of these limitations, my father has effectively prepared our futures. If his provident money was released during his retirement, he used the whole sum, plus a personal loan, to purchase a home and in the name of his young son. We had a roof above our heads and for the remainder of our days.

Why do I like my father?

Among the most amazing aspects of my father was the number of things he was involved in.

He’d spend hours from outside the tailor’s shop seeing him making shirts, and within a few months, he purchased himself the Singer sewing machine. From that day forward, all our clothing, along with the winter school uniforms, were sewn by him.

He taught himself carpentry and designed the sofa sets that we’ve been using for generations.

He got to learn dry cleaning and then after that, in winter, we did go to school smelling kerosene.

My father was a great chef, so he enjoyed the food. While my mother was immobilized by lymphatic TB, she must have prepared breakfast, lunch, or dinner for her family and in the morning until heading off to work.

Best of everyone, he was a talented guitarist, blessed with the vichitra veena. He had a Carnatic’ band’ of his own with such a flautist as well as a mridangam player.

Things I learned from my father

Slowly, I learned how much more of how I was influenced by who he is and. Like him, I’m never tired, so I’m always intrigued by everything else in my life.

I’m still interested in doing something positive or educational. I’m 2 two years younger now than he was while he died, so I began to learn how to play piano, appreciate search engine optimization, UX design, or drawing.

I heard from him every kindness is a frame of mind, not a wallet condition. The amount of nameless, faceless poor folks my father supported was long, which we heard only when he passed.

Never demeaning the recipients with such a handout, he encouraged them to reimburse at their pace and time but made saying they actually so, preserving their self-respect.

Without even talking about it, he taught me what something means to become a parent, and what it means to become a lifeless person.

My father as the source of motivation

I can proudly say that this was my father, who was the source of my inspiration since day one. In those other words, his outlook and personality influenced me together like a human.

About the same way, he still has a huge effect on the environment inside his own little ways. My father dedicates his spare time to have to take care of stray animals that encourage me to be doing the same thing.

My father has told me the essence of love in the shape of a rose that he gives to my mother every day without fail. This continuity and devotion encourage us all to handle them in the same manner.

All my experience in sports or vehicles, I’ve come from my dad. This is one of the few reasons why I want to be a cricket player in the future.

10 Lines on my father

  • He is a caring and obliging man who takes care of my whole family.
  • He is a talented engineer or a very hard-working individual.
  • He’s an articulate guy who answers all the questions smartly.
  • My father loves his own family, my mother, or every member of the family.
  • He retains a cordial relationship with our family, acquaintances, and colleagues.
  • He’s going to bring my sister or me to college or my mother for work every day.
  • Every day, he supports my younger sister in our studies and me.
  • He shows us proper manners , compassion, and the ethic of living.
  • My dad is my role model, and one day I want to be around him.
  • My father is, or is always, a huge inspiration to me.

My friendship with my father is summed up by a single occurrence. He wanted me to attend the IIT for becoming an engineer.

I decided to become a novelist, a career he disdained to have no future. Headstrong, in 1969, I left the train wherein my family moved via Delhi to Bombay even as the whistle sounded. I’ve been bent on enjoying my way of life.

My father, profoundly upset, cut me over without a country, saying that I should really help myself whether I was so optimistic about writing. But so did I, raising enough by writing night papers to cover my lease, college tuition, or food.

Six months later, my dad, moving via Delhi in December, met me to see how his powerful-headed son would do and saw that I had lived quite well without borrowing and asking. He was clearly swelled with pride.

My father hugged me, forgave me for one moment, used 400 rupees as a Christmas bonus to buy me utensils, a mattress, and other essentials.

Since that day on, he could happily say, “My son pursued his heart more than my head – see what a great job he did.”

I hope you liked this essay on my father. Must share this essay with your friends.

"The Greatest Influence in My Life" - my essay about my dad

cookiemonster 1 / -   Nov 13, 2010   #1 The Greatest Influence in My Life It is not difficult to figure out that the modern image of a father is evolving and pointing to a more compassionate figure. Before, the father figure was merely boiled down to him being the breadwinner. However, this is changing as the awareness and the advent of a fuller model of fatherhood is being churned by the changing society. Persevering throughout his entire life, my father has fought through numerous obstacles to achieve what he has today. Determination, responsibility, and dedication are characteristics that my father possesses. These characteristics help my father endure through all the challenges of his life, and he therefore has a great influence on me. My father influences me by instilling education in my life, serving his community, and teaching the importance of health and fitness. My dad instills the importance of education and motivates me to try my hardest. My dad symbolizes more than just a man who has brought me into this world; he has become an emotion or energy that I can feel inside of me always. He is the constant reminder of my duty to uphold the morals of my family, and he is the motivation for accomplishment in my life. He would give me rewards or tokens for great accomplishments, and praise me for motivation. If I did poorly in something, he would motivate me, and scold me at the same time, so that I can do better. Inspired by my father, I have worked diligently toward my own goal even when strongly challenged. During the challenging times I cannot help but recall my father's stories of his own hardships as he worked towards a better future. Therefore, encourage by my dad, I study really hard and put extra effort in the work I do at school. My dad helps people in need by joining non-profit organizations, and helping on a personal basis. My dad is currently a member of the Salvation Army; this organization helps people struggling, the homeless, and the youths. For example, during Christmas time, the Salvation Army has a Christmas dinner at the Holy Redeemer Parish Hall for people that can't afford to have a dinner for their families, or any food at all. At this event, the children are all given toys in paper wrap to make the day even more special. My dad works hard at this event to make it a success. Aside from this organization my dad helps families in need around my neighborhood. Outside of this organization, my dad helps families in our neighborhood with basic items for the ones' in need. For example, when schools were reopening, my dad went around the neighborhood and gave away school bags and basic school supplies. The loving and thankful reaction from the people when my dad gives them inspires me to be like my dad. So, in order to follow in his footsteps, I am currently a member of Global Minds and the Red Cross. My dad explains the importance of health and fitness. My dad does yoga, so from his kids were younger he would put us to do it. He often goes on TV and he speaks out on the topic of health, the future benefits, and yoga; so, that not only his family is aware, but the country. In the house, he only brings in certain types of food like vegetables and limited sweet foods, to hold his word to what he believe in. Fitness and health are his two topics that influence me, because he goes in debt and tell me consciences. For example he would say if you don't exercise, when you get older you'll probably have a lot of problems like back pain, etc. I am greatly influenced by my dad when it comes to health because I also do yoga, and eat healthy, and I sometimes tell my friends about the risks on not being healthy. In conclusion, my dad is a great motivator, towards education, helping the poor, and teaching about health and fitness. For some people, they just talk and never progress and do nothing, but when it comes to my dad, he talks and does the work. My dad is definitely the most influential person in my life.

Jzhang 1 / 1   Nov 13, 2010   #2 You mainly talk about your dad in this essay that if I were the admissions staff, I would probably consider enrolling your dad. Try to focus less on your father and more on how he influenced you as a person. How does what he do change your life in a way? Come up with examples that include your leadership abilities and commitment that could be attributed to your father's influence. You briefly mentioned "Therefore, encourage by my dad, I study really hard and put extra effort in the work I do at school." which is NOT GOOD ENOUGH . That sentence is way too brief, and too weak. Instead of just stating that, expand on how you focus hard, how your father really influences you. Also, try to make this essay a bit more personal, anyone can say what you said about your father to their own fathers. And try to use your dad's name instead of repeating "my dad" over and over again as well as rid of other repetitions in the essay.

smiley001 2 / 5   Nov 13, 2010   #3 Hope I help: It is not difficult to figure out that the modern image of a father is evolving and pointing (I don't think pointing is the right word) to a more compassionate figure. Suggest: evolving into a compassionate figure. What was it before being compassionate? aren't our parents supposed to be compassionate, don't agree w/ statement. Achieve what he is today You dad is not a symbol, omit "symbolizes" replace w/ "is" He has become an emotion or energy that I can feel inside of me always. Reword Previous, Possibly, "He is an inspiration" scold sounds harsh. "get after me" Some parts are redundant, add more personal experiences. Connect the traits you mention paragraph two with three and four. Paragraph two seems to be about your dads traits, like a list and three and four are the experience. Liked the conclusion:)

He plays a vital role in shaping my character and significantly influencing my discussions and experiences. My father abides by a few morals like honesty, discipline, respect for everyone, never hurting anyone and seeking happiness in the small pleasures of life. I try to implement them too. My father is a dutiful son to my grandma, a loving husband, a caring father and a responsible family man. I aspire to follow him when I grow up.

200 Words Essay On My Father

It is true when they say the father is a daughter's first love. No one can love a girl as unconditionally as her father. My father gave me purpose and a dream to live a life. I acquired my traits of being unconventional and unique from him. Although non-conventional in his methods, he is a hardworking, passionate, caring, honest and dedicated person. He is a professional chef and cooks the best food in the world. He lights up the place within minutes of his arrival with his jolly nature and fantastic sense of humour.

Best Qualities Of My Father

His words are fueling and encouraging; they instil confidence in me.

His advice is both life-saving and life-giving.

Any adventure with him means fun and making the best memories.

I learnt valuable life lessons like the importance of time, the virtues of discipline, the worth of money, and respecting elders from him. His passion for music and sports interested me in learning guitar and playing football. He has been the guiding force in my life. As they say, a father is essential in a child’s life. A father is a man who bestows wings on their kids to fly towards their dream. Then, some fantastic men in our life, such as uncles, friends, teachers, and mentors, take father figures in our life. I am privileged to have a biological father and also father figures in my life.

My father is a taciturn, reserved, silent man. He is a teacher passionate about maths. His first love is the family, seconded by maths. Although a man of fewer words, he understands everything without explaining. Unlike my father, my mother is a very chatty person. My father's silent energy is vital for maintaining the balance of the home.

He is an honest, hardworking and disciplined man. I cannot recall any work my father did that required a rework. The first thing I learned from my father was that no matter how small or big the job is, it is essential to give total effort and dedication. This advice changed my life. He never spoke much but was always beside my mother as a constant shadow and me. He has provided us with a very peaceful, fulfilling life.

My Father Is Special | My father enjoys the silly side of me and appreciates it too, but he also maintains strictness when the need arises. He tries his best to fulfil our needs, sometimes suppressing his own. He has provided me with a safe, open and accessible environment where I can keep my thoughts freely without hesitation, thus eliminating the need for lies.

My father Is Benevolent | My father is very caring towards animals, which instilled sympathy in me. He is a very charitable person who believes in silent donations. I have never witnessed him misbehaving, raising his voice, or cussing anyone, regardless of his anger. He always respects elders and follows culture and tradition with complete faith.

My father Is My Inspiration | My father spends his weekend teaching underprivileged kids at no cost. He goes to a nearby park and holds maths tuitions for kids of all ages. He also makes considerable donations to stray dog welfare associations. He has made me understand the real meaning of love and compassion. My interest in becoming a veterinary doctor is through him.

My father has all the qualities of a beautiful human being that I aspire to be. My father’s gift of quality time, long-lasting conversation, life-changing advice and positive actions have significantly impacted my life. I strive every day to become like him. I only hope when I have a family of my own, every day, I see a little more of my father in me and that I can be as good of a parent figure to my kids.

My Father Essay in English for Students

As we all see, most of the time, people usually talk about the Mother’s love, responsibilities, caring, politeness, affection, and love toward her children. By this, the father’s love often gets hidden or ignored. Father’s love is a special kind of love that could not even be shown to others, but it is one of the purest forms of love in the entire world. For a child, their parents are the most precious gift from god. But, having a father in life is one of the biggest strengths of their life, which always supports them till life and even after their life. A child came into this world because of a mother, but that child gets an identity in society because of a father.

As we all believe that our father is different and special in this world and I also believe that my father is an extraordinary person to me because of his personality, his presence of mindset, and his knowledge and discipline. My father is a well-known person and a very successful businessman. Also, he is a very skillful car rider. He is the one who taught me in life to always work on our discipline no matter the work we are doing. He always tries to love us as all fathers do and also shows some strictness to us when needed.

My father is like a superhero to me, and one of the best things about my father is he never fails to put his responsibility to make our home the safest place in the world. He spends his quality time with us when free from work and takes us for picnics, adventures, etc. My father cares about me more than anyone but never shows up in public or even makes me realize it. He used to fulfill all my needs and desires before I asked for them and also sometimes shouted at me to make me understand what is good for me and what is not!

My father is my strongest source of inspiration. I always wanted to become like my father in my life. He is a very caring, responsible, honest, punctual, and kind-hearted human being. I love him so much. I also wanted to become a good car rider in the future like my father, and one day I will make him proud of me.

My Role Model is My Father Essay

The importance of the word ‘Father’ and its general worth towards family is limitless. This word generates honor because of symbol good deeds which every head of the family tries to earn.

My Role Model is My Father Essay

My father is the guiding force and leader of our family, bringing our aspirations into reality. He is not just a figurehead, but a role model who foresees the needs of the time and shapes our family through his unwavering responsibility and dedication. I hold immense respect for him due to his extraordinary achievements.

Daily Test - Attempt Now

As my role model, my father accompanies me in all my endeavors, ensuring that I make the right choices. He attentively listens to my problems and imparts valuable lessons to shape my thinking. His primary concern is my future career, and he leverages his maturity, knowledge, and awareness of the modern world to evaluate my interests and decisions, going above and beyond to help me develop and achieve my goals.

Despite his financial limitations, my father fulfills my genuine needs and ensures that I never feel inadequate. He works tirelessly, sweating profusely, to increase his earnings for my sake. He sacrifices his own comfort, willingly eating less, in order to provide for my well-being.

Being educated and possessing a logical vision, my father has evolved into a contemporary and progressive figure. He utilizes his knowledge and embraces modernity to raise me in a manner that equips me to thrive in today’s competitive world. He leaves no gaps in meeting my needs and actively supports my personal growth and career-building process.

As an ideal father, my father spares no effort in fulfilling my necessities. He strives to eliminate any obstacles that could hinder my development and career path, leaving no room for shortcomings.

What sets my role model father apart is his refusal to impose his own career choices on me. He believes that I should pursue a future based on my own passions, suitability, and capabilities. The tradition of following specific family professions is fading away, as doctors no longer insist on their children becoming doctors, professors do not compel their offspring to pursue academia, and army officers do not force their sons into the military. Similarly, my father desires that I have a better future according to my own choices.

My father is a mature and understanding individual who assists me in making important decisions. Like most devoted fathers, he plays a significant role in my life, supporting my career aspirations and helping me overcome daily challenges. When I face difficulties and seek guidance, I instinctively turn to my father. He selflessly puts aside his own priorities to provide the necessary support. He works tirelessly, making countless sacrifices to help me navigate through my problems.

We celebrate Father’s Day every year on 19 June to strengthen the relationship and remind a father of the sacrifices he endured towards his kids when they were in need. Unfortunately, it has become a mere formality for many, lacking genuine emotional connection and appreciation. In today’s times, children often choose to live separately from their fathers, prioritizing their own families and disregarding their responsibilities towards their aging fathers, who cling to hope for support.

It is very important that our fathers should be given deep respect and utmost respect not only because they are fathers, but for their unparalleled fatherhood and incredible sacrifices towards us. We must recognize the value of their presence and the impact they have on our lives. By cherishing our fathers, upholding our duties, and expressing gratitude for their sacrifices, we can truly acknowledge the exceptional role models they are in our lives.

My Father’s Quiet Love Speaks Louder Than Words

An illustration of a girl and man playing dominoes. In the background in domino-shaped insets are rice and beans, a woman holding a baby, a woman walking away with a suitcase and a woman looking at a university.

By Lorgia García Peña

Dr. García Peña is a writer, activist and scholar who specializes in Latinx studies, with a focus on Black Latinidades.

My dad and I were once invincible dominoes partners. I was his frente, and he was my compinche, my wingman. When the domino table materialized at that time of the night at our family parties, he scanned the room looking for me until we locked eyes. I am not competitive, but I was driven to win, if only to see the fire in his eyes. The thrill of the domino smack on the table as my soft-spoken papi yelled, “Capicúa!” — he just knew he killed it.

We are not close in the way some families are. We don’t tell each other secrets. When he was still physically able, my dad did not show his affection by way of hugs or saying “I love you.” Ours is a tacit understanding that we’ve got each other’s backs.

When I was younger, he’d show his care and complicity by bringing me toasted peanuts or fixing my toys. Later, he’d slip out at the crack of dawn to clean my filthy car and fill up the tank before every trip back to Boston. My favorite moments were Papi and me in the kitchen, eating roasted batata with warm café con leche, talking politics and history before the rest of the household stirred. The mornings were always ours.

But when I was a teenager growing up in New Jersey, his unspoken love made me feel even more lonely in a family that always felt a little foreign to me. I come from a loud Pentecostal Dominican family, and we are quick to dispense advice and gossip, often while shouting over one another, but we rarely say things like “I love you” or “I am gay.” The important stuff goes unsaid.

I longed for the kind of dialogue I read in novels or saw in films, in which people shared their deepest fears and secrets and came out on the other side of the conversation feeling complete and warm. I envied my family’s faith, especially my dad’s unwavering belief that all that happens in the world — whether good or bad — was predetermined, part of God’s plan.

I did not believe in God the way he did. I felt abandoned, estranged, missing out on the complicity that gave him solace. I did not put my trust in an invisible man in the sky, but I did crave putting that trust in the people around me. I wanted them, not God, to be my plan. I longed to move away, to become independent and spread my wings away from my parents’ watchful eyes.

Our family was part of a wave of Dominicans who migrated to the Northeast in the 1980s and ’90s. By then, instead of murdering and imprisoning people, Joaquín Balaguer’s regime was killing Dominicans via hunger and unemployment.

Balaguer spent an estimated $250 million to build a massive lighthouse dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Columbus’s so-called discovery of the Americas. My parents, who were in their 40s at the time, were laid off from their jobs when he cut public spending to build his beloved lighthouse. Considered too old to be employable and unable to see a future for themselves or us, they decided to leave.

My siblings married and moved out of our parents’ home within a year of my rejoining the family in Trenton. Suddenly I went from being the fourth child in a loud, bustling family to being a sort of only child of middle-aged, non-English-speaking immigrants, and my dad went from being the patriarch, a deacon in his church and one of the most respected and known citizens of his town to a man who depended on his 14-year-old kid to write checks, make phone calls to utility companies and translate paperwork. More than anything, he longed to return.

When it was time for me, the first in my family, to go to college, Papi didn’t understand why I had to leave. In the Dominican Republic, it is common to live at home while studying. He was angry — the preferred response of Dominican men to hide fear. We argued a lot in those days. He wanted me near, I later understood, where he could protect me from the world.

After I graduated, my parents and I became a strange unit. Even though I was living on my own, my plans were often assumed to include them. Wedding invitations would come addressed to the three of us. I became accustomed to considering my parents, to seeing them as an extension of myself, even if I did not live near them.

My father’s love spilled over to those I loved: kid, partner, friends, students. And when I got knocked up shortly after finishing my graduate studies, I was embarrassed to have to come back home again, this time with another life inside me. My childhood bedroom awaited me with warm blankets and gifts. My son was born in their bed, in their home, within the warmth of the security blanket they had knitted for me over the years.

Later, when I got divorced, my parents, together, helped raise him, reminding me — and this time, yes, now with words in addition to actions — that I was not alone. And when I was fired from a job at Harvard, my dad reminded me that in their home there would always be enough arroz con habichuela to go around. “Aquí siempre tienes una casa” (“You will always have a home here”), he said. His words gave me the courage to fight back.

Over the past decade, our goodbyes became more prolonged as my mom grew grayer and as my dad’s embrace grew weaker and more trembly.

Two major surgeries, a debilitating illness and diabetes complications have weakened his muscles and memory but not his spirit. But when he suffered a massive stroke this year, doctors told us nothing more could be done. He can no longer speak. He is too weak to walk or eat. But he won’t go gentle in his sleep, either. On most days I accompany him and hold his hand and read his Bible. I can feel his slow departure changing my DNA.

When I visited him last week, his eyes were open, and his face looked peaceful. The absence of pain in the dying is a beautiful gift for the living. I held his hand and stroked his bald head. I complained about the snow and the traffic. I told him about my classes, how I am teaching gringos about Gregorio Luperón, one of the leaders in the Dominican restoration war, at Princeton, where I am a professor of Black Latino studies. I could feel his pride.

I closed my eyes and told him I would be OK. I know he worries. I am, after all, his baby. “You are such a good father, such a good grandpa,” I told him. I opened my eyes and saw he was tearing up. And I could hear his voice so clearly, telling me it was all going to be OK; he wouldn’t be far, just to the other side of the curtain.

I cried too, with gratitude for our tacit, complicit dialogue. That we could sit together, in silence, just a bit longer.

Lorgia García Peña, a professor at Princeton University, is the author, most recently, of “Translating Blackness: Migrations of Latinx Colonialities in Global Perspective.”

250 Words Essay on My Dad Is My Hero

The epitome of heroism.

My father, the embodiment of resilience and compassion, has always been my hero. His life and actions have been a beacon, guiding me through the labyrinth of life. His heroism isn’t defined by extraordinary feats but by his everyday actions and unwavering commitment to his values.

Resilience in Adversity

My father’s resilience in the face of adversity is nothing short of heroic. He grew up in an impoverished household, yet he managed to break free from the shackles of poverty through sheer determination and hard work. His journey from a small-town boy to a successful entrepreneur is a testament to his indomitable spirit.

Compassion Personified

His compassion is another aspect that makes him my hero. He has always been a pillar of support for the less fortunate. His philanthropic efforts, though not widely recognized, have touched many lives. He taught me that true heroism lies in empathy and kindness, not just courage and strength.

A Guiding Light

His actions and principles serve as my compass, guiding me in my decisions and actions. His humility despite his accomplishments, his respect for all regardless of their status, and his unwavering integrity are the traits I strive to emulate.

In conclusion, my father is my hero not because he’s invincible or perfect, but because he embodies the values I hold dear. He is a hero in the truest sense – not in grand gestures, but in the quiet, consistent demonstration of strength, compassion, and integrity. He is a living testament that real heroes walk among us, often unnoticed but always inspiring.

500 Words Essay on My Dad Is My Hero

Every child looks up to someone as they grow up, someone who is their pillar of strength, their source of inspiration. For me, that person has always been my dad. To me, my dad is not just a parent, but a hero in the truest sense of the word.

My Dad, The Provider

My dad has always been the primary provider for our family. He has worked tirelessly to ensure that we have everything we need. His dedication to his work, his unwavering commitment to his responsibilities, and his willingness to sacrifice his own comfort for our happiness are traits that I deeply admire. He has taught me the value of hard work, perseverance, and determination. He has shown me that success is not handed to us on a silver platter, but is earned through sweat and tears.

My Dad, The Guide

As a guide, my dad has been instrumental in shaping my values and beliefs. He has always encouraged me to think critically, question everything, and never settle for mediocrity. He has instilled in me a love for learning, a passion for knowledge, and a curiosity that drives me to explore and understand the world around me. His wisdom, his insights, and his guidance have been invaluable in helping me navigate the complexities of life.

My Dad, The Supporter

In times of difficulty, my dad has always been there to support me. He has been my rock, my anchor, providing stability and reassurance when I needed it most. Whether it was a difficult exam, a challenging project, or a personal setback, my dad has always been there to offer his advice, lend his support, and help me find the strength to overcome. His unwavering faith in my abilities has given me the confidence to face any challenge that comes my way.

My Dad, The Role Model

Perhaps most importantly, my dad has been a role model, someone I aspire to be like. His integrity, his humility, his compassion, and his resilience are qualities that I strive to emulate. He has shown me that true strength lies not in physical power, but in the strength of one’s character. He has taught me that the true measure of a person is not in their wealth or status, but in their actions and the impact they have on the lives of others.

In conclusion, my dad is my hero because he embodies the qualities that I admire and aspire to have. He is a provider, a guide, a supporter, and a role model. He has shaped me into the person I am today and continues to inspire me to be the best version of myself. To me, my dad is not just a parent, but a hero in the truest sense of the word.
