കാ ത്തിരിപ്പും നിസ്സഹായതയും. ഒരു നാണയത്തിന്റെ രണ്ട് വശങ്ങളെന്നപോലെയുള്ള അവസ്ഥകൾ. രണ്ടിനും കാലംചെല്ലുന്തോറും വേദനകൂടും. ഈ രണ്ട് അവസ്ഥകളിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ കഥയാണ് ജിബു ജേക്കബ് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് സുരേഷ് ​ഗോപി നായകനായെത്തിയ മേ ഹൂം മൂസ. പാപ്പന് ശേഷമെത്തുന്ന സുരേഷ് ​ഗോപി ചിത്രം, തല്ലുമാലയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം മലപ്പുറം പശ്ചാത്തലമായി വരുന്ന ചിത്രം എന്നിവയായിരുന്നു മേ ഹൂം മൂസയുടെ പ്രധാന വിശേഷണങ്ങൾ.

കാർ​ഗിൽ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടെന്ന് കരുതിയ ലാൻസ് നായിക് മുഹമ്മദ് മൂസ പെട്ടന്നൊരു സുപ്രഭാതത്തിൽ സ്വന്തം നാടായ മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലയിലെ മാണൂർക്ക് തിരിച്ച് വരികയാണ്. വാ​ഗാ അതിർത്തിയും ​ഗുജറാത്തും രാജസ്ഥാനുമെല്ലാം കടന്നുവന്ന മൂസയ്ക്ക് പക്ഷേ നാട്ടിൽ നേരിടേണ്ടി വരുന്നത് അതിലും വലിയ യാത്രകളും അനുഭവങ്ങളുമാണ്. പാകിസ്താനിൽ നിന്ന് തിരിച്ച് നാട്ടിൽ എത്തിയെങ്കിലും ഐഡന്റിറ്റിയില്ലാത്ത വ്യക്തിയായുള്ള മൂസയുടെ ജീവിതപ്രയാണം തുടങ്ങാനിരിക്കുന്നതേ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളൂ.

അല്പനേരം സ്വന്തം മൊബൈൽ ഫോൺ കാണാതെ പോയാൽ ടെൻഷനടിക്കുന്നവരാണ് നമ്മൾ. പക്ഷേ മൂസയ്ക്ക് മൊബൈൽ ഫോൺ എന്താണെന്ന് പോലും അറിയില്ല. വേറൊരു തരത്തിൽപ്പറഞ്ഞാൽ അജ്ഞാതവാസം മൂസയ്ക്ക് സമ്മാനിച്ചത് പുറംലോകത്തിന്റെ വികാസത്തേക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അജ്ഞത മാത്രമാണെന്നുകാണാം. ജീവനോടെ മുന്നിൽ നിന്നാലും ഇന്നയാളാണ് താൻ എന്ന് തെളിയിക്കാൻ രേഖ വേണം എന്ന അവസ്ഥ എത്രമാത്രം ഭീകരമാണെന്ന് മേ ഹൂം മൂസ വരച്ചുകാട്ടുന്നു.

മൂസയ്ക്ക് തിരിച്ചറിയൽ രേഖയില്ല, വീടിന്റെ ആധാരമില്ല, വോട്ടർ പട്ടികയിൽ പേരില്ല. ആധാർ കാർഡ് എന്താണെന്ന് കേട്ടിട്ടുപോലുമില്ല ഇയാൾ. നാട്ടുകാർക്കും വീട്ടുകാർക്കും മുന്നിൽ ജീവനോടെയുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഒറ്റയ്ക്കാണ് മൂസ. ആൾക്കൂട്ടത്തിൽ തനിയെ എന്ന് പറയുന്നതുപോലെ. എല്ലാവരേയും മൂസ കാണുന്നുണ്ട്. പക്ഷേ ആരും മൂസയെ കാണുന്നില്ല. കണ്ടവർക്കാകട്ടെ ഇയാൾ തട്ടിപ്പുകാരനോ, രാജ്യത്തെ ഒറ്റുകൊടുക്കാൻ വന്നയാളോ എന്നെല്ലാം സംശയവും. ഇത്തരം നിരവധി സാഹചര്യങ്ങളിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോകുകയാണ് മേ ഹൂം മൂസ.

ജിബുവിന്റെ മുൻചിത്രങ്ങളിലേതുപോലെ തമാശ തന്നെയാണ് സിനിമയെ മുന്നോട്ടുനയിക്കുന്നത്. ചിരിപ്പിക്കാനായുള്ള ദ്വയാർത്ഥ പ്രയോ​ഗങ്ങൾ അശേഷമില്ല. നല്ല കോമഡി കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളുമായി നല്ല സംവിധായകർ വന്നാൽ ചെയ്ത് തെളിയിക്കും എന്ന് ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നുണ്ട് സുരേഷ് ​ഗോപി. മൂസയുടെ നിസ്സഹായാവസ്ഥയും ധൈര്യവും പ്രണയവും അറിവില്ലായ്മയുമെല്ലാം ചിരിക്ക് വഴിയൊരുക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഹരീഷ് കണാരനൊപ്പമുള്ള രം​ഗങ്ങൾ കയ്യടിയുണ്ടാക്കുന്നവ തന്നെ.

സൈജു കുറുപ്പിന്റെ മീരാനും സാവിത്രി ശ്രീധരന്റെ അമ്മയും പൂനം ബജ് വയുടെ കുഞ്ഞിയും പ്രേക്ഷകർക്കൊപ്പം കൂടും. ശ്രിന്ദ, മിഥുൻ രമേശ്, കലാഭവൻ റഹ്മാൻ, സുധീർ കരമന, വീണാ നായർ, ശശാങ്കൻ മയ്യനാട്, മേജർ രവി എന്നിവരും അവരവരുടെ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളോട് നീതി പുലർത്തി. സംവിധായകന്റെ മുൻചിത്രങ്ങളെ അപേക്ഷിച്ച് നോക്കുകയാണെങ്കിൽ കുറച്ചുകൂടി വിശാലമായ പ്രമേയമാണ് മേ ഹൂം മൂസയിലേത്. പട്ടാളക്കഥകൾ പലതും മലയാളത്തിൽ വന്നിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു സൈനികൻ നമ്മുടെ വെള്ളിത്തിരയിൽ പുതിയത് തന്നെയാണ്.

Actor Suresh Gopi will play the lead role in the Jibu Jacob movie Mei Hoom Moosa. Gopi will play the titular role Moosa, a Muslim character from the Malappuram district in Kerala. The movie will be the 253rd project of Suresh Gopi in his career.

Jibu Jacob has earlier directed movies including the political satire Biju Menon starrer Vellimoonga, Mohanlal starrer Munthiravallikal Thalirkkumbol, Adya Rathri, and social drama Elam Sheriyakum.

Mei Hoom Moosa is set as a pan Indian movie and the story takes place through a span of twenty years, 1998 to 2018. The shoot in the north Indian states is completed, and the rest of the film will be shot in various parts of Kerala. The movie is scripted by Rubesh Rain and Vishnu Narayanan is handling the cinematography. Sreenath Sivasankaran is composing the music.

Saiju Kurup, Salim Kumar, Poonam Bajwa, Hareesh Kanaran, and Johny Antony will play important roles in the film.

Meanwhile, Suresh Gopi’s Paappan is also awaiting its release. Paappan directed by veteran director Joshiy, has Suresh Gopi playing a retired police officer named Abraham Mathew Mathan who is on the hunt for a murderer.

Here's when you can watch Suresh Gopi's 'Mei Hoom Moosa' on OTT

Suresh Gopi-starrer 'Mei Hoom Moosa' which hit theatres on September 30 is all set to begin streaming on a major OTT platform. The film helmed by 'Vellimoonga' director Jibu Jacob is a pure entertainer revolving around the life of a soldier who returns home after 19 years just to find out that everyone actually presumed he is dead.

How he copes up with the present society and his quest to prove his identity to the world form the crux of the story.

Saiju Kurup, Poonam Bhajwa, Srinda, Hareesh Kanaran, among others play prominent roles in the film, which will begin streaming on Zee 5 from November 11. The OTT release date was announced by Suresh Gopi himself on OTT.

Writing a review for this film is quite pointless really. If you're not a Malayali, I'll never recommend this. I'm sure no one has ever bothered to create subtitles for this. All the jokes will fly over your head anyway. If you're a Malayali, you damn well have seen this a million times already.

So, I'm looking at this like a diary entry of some sort. It makes sense, since this is one film I'll end up watching over and over again, even against my wishes lol.

This film is really all about the comedy. The film never really takes itself seriously (which is a good thing). The comedic moments range from legendary (the scene where Major Ravi stepping out…

Only the reals will get this. Iconic AF and a timeless classic cus if you missed it you definitely missed it. I don't think someone watching it for the first time would dig it as much as the cult fans do. I mean whole my life, I haven't met one malayali who've not seen this film and the comedy weirdly linked me to my childhood, in a fun way lol.

Fun Fact: It was surprising to know C.I.D Moosa is one of Adoor's favorite films. Its almost like the time when Reygadas included Robocop in his favourite movies list. I mean no problem with that but seriously who would've thought?

There was a time in my childhood when I would watch this movie whenever this was on TV and laugh at the same thing that I have seen a million times before. And, I still do that. And will probably continue to do that until I die. This movie was one of the movies that made my childhood better and one of which helped me to love movies even from childhood. Even though the movie is not perfect, there is no way I can rate this any less than 5 stars. Absolutely brilliant.

C.I.D Moosa is a 2003 Indian Malayalam film directed by Johny Antony. This is an action crime thriller film which follows the story of a sharp young man who wishes to be a policeman. However due to conspiracies against him, he becomes a private detective. Sahadevan, has the skillset and the ambitions to be a police officer. His rival is his own brother-in-law, Peethambaram. A plot against the chief minister is spoiled by Sahadevan, which results in him not being selected for the police service due to physical test failure. Sahadevan, determined to uncover the truth, decides to conduct an investigation of his own, and calls himself C.I.D Moosa. He falls in love with Meena. He does things his way and is a successful detective. A good entertainer.

Dileep plays Mulamkuziyil Sahadevan, son of a police constable (Oduvil Unnikrishnan), whose ambition is to become a police officer like his dad. But, Peethambaran (Jagathy Sreekumar) his brother-in-law does not like the idea and sees that Sahadevan does not clear his physical test. But one of his uncle advises Sahadevan to become a private detective and rechristens him as CID Moosa!

Now CID Moosa has Arjun, a smart dog from the dog squad to assist him. He also has a funky car that sprays chilli powder or throws marbles on those who follow the car! Soon Moosa comes to know that the Kerala Chief Minister's (Murali) life is in danger from the Mumbai underworld led by some goons and he is out to track them down. Moosa has a lover Meenu (Bhavana) who is a Gujarati fashion designer.

Dire RELATED: Aavesham Review ctor Antony have copied scenes from many hollywood flicks even he tries Dileep in Spiderman and Superman costumes to attract kids. Even though it doesn't look original in story or comedy, C.I.D Moosa has all the ingredients for the kids. It has has taken a record initial in Box office and looks like another superhit for Dileep.

The supporting cast include Cochin Haneefa, Murali, Sharat Saxena, Asish Vidyarthi, Vijayaraghavan, Cochin Haneefa, Bindu Panikkar and Harisri Asokan. The lyrics of Girish Puthencherry are tuned by Vidyasagar. Salu George is the cinematographer and the film is directed by debutant Johnny.
