Export and share your test
Once you've finished tailoring your test, set a name for the test and assign a 'time available' for the whole paper. You can then choose either a Word or PDF export, with or without a mark scheme and OCR cover page.
Saved tests are immediately available in the 'My Tests' area and can be instantly shared with all other users at your centre.

Setting up project locally
It is assumed that you have python3 and git installed on your system.
- Clone the repository and open cmd / bash inside the project directory.
- Install virtualenv package running pip install virtualenv
- Create virtual environment running virtualenv venv and activate
- Activate it with source venv/Scripts/activate (Windows) or source venv/bin/activate (Linux)
- Run pip install -r requirements.txt to get required packages.
- Run jupyter notebook and you are good to go.

Use generate.py script to create datasets, such as:

Run images through the tesseract engine.
- To be able to use tesseract, download the installer from here and proceed with the installation.
- After installing the compiled binaries, check out the example of usage in the main.ipynb .
- Change the installation path of tesseract.exe if necessary.

Printed text vs handwritten is usually easier for OCR, however it all depends on your source image, I generally find that capturing in PNG format, with reduced colors (grayscale is best) with some manual cleanup (remove any image noise due to scanning etc) works best. Most OCR are similar in performance and accuracy.
