How to Submit IGNOU Assignment 2024 Online:  IGNOU assignments are an important part of the final grade card. They are usually submitted at the end of each semester before the conduct of the Term End Examination (TEE) which is held twice a year. While IGNOU assignments can be submitted offline as well, lakhs of students find submitting assignments online more convenient. However, online submissions can be time-consuming and lead to non-updation of marks if done incorrectly. Submitting the IGNOU assignments online properly will ensure that students are evaluated properly for each semester and are also eligible to appear for the upcoming TEE. Submit IGNOU Assignments Through Website

To submit the IGNOU assignment 2024 online using IGNOU’s official website, you can follow these steps:

• Visit the official website of IGNOU: ignou.ac.in
• Click on the 'Student Zone' link in the top menu.
• The student must log in with their enrollment number and password.
• Click on the 'Assignments' tab.
• Click on the 'Submit Assignment' link.
• Select the assignment code and session for which you want to submit the assignment.
• Upload a scanned copy of your assignment in PDF format.
• Click on the 'Submit' button.

Submit IGNOU Assignments Through Google Form

Below are the steps that students can follow if they wish to submit IGNOU assignments online through the Google form link:

• Click on the link provided dedicated to your regional centre, and it will automatically open in your default browser.
• Fill in all the required information correctly, such as Name, enrollment number, subject code, subject name, course name, course year, section, etc.
• Upload your assignment in PDF format.
• After uploading, check all the details once again.
• After checking, click on submit 
• If you want a copy of the response, click on the 'send a response on the mail' option if available.

Submit IGNOU Assignments through Email (If Available)

Students also have the option to submit their assignments through email, but this option is not available for all assignments. It depends on the faculty and how they want their assignments. Hence, one must make sure that submitting IGNOU assignments through email is an option and that they have the correct email ID.

Below are the points to remember before submitting IGNOU assignment online. Students must follow all the points to avoid rejection of their assignment.

• IGNOU only accepts handwritten assignments; no typed assignments are allowed.
• The document should be in the form of a PDF.
• The scanned document should be clearly visible, avoiding submitting blurry images. If students submit blurred PDF files, they might lose marks.
• The maximum size of the document should not exceed 100 MB.
• The file should be saved under your name. 
• Don't submit the assignment more than once. 
• If the student has submitted a hard copy to the institution, then online submission is not required.
• If you are facing any issues while submitting the assignment online, students can also submit a hard copy IGNOU assignment offline at the institution.
• While submitting the assignment, enter only your email ID. 
• Students should only submit their assignments and not any other project.
• Students should avoid locked PDFs i.e. without any password. If the file is locked or protected with the password, it will be rejected. 

How Many Times Can You Submit IGNOU Assignments in a Year? 

There are two systems of programs at IGNOU: semester and year. If you are taking exams twice a year, like for courses like BCA, MCA, MBA, B.Com, and M.Co, then you are in a semester program. On the other hand, if you appear in exams only once a year, then you are in an annual program. So, if your course is annual, you must submit assignments once a year, and if your program is semester-based, you must submit assignments twice a year. You must log into your admissions portal to know if your program is full-year or half-year. 

IGNOU will always mention the deadline by which sstudents should submit their assignments. In general, the deadline is April for the June session and October for the December TEE. Students should check the IGNOU website for the latest information on assignment submission deadlines.

The following are the criteria on which assignments are evaluated by the faculties. Students must follow all the criteria to achieve high marks in the assignments submitted online or offline.

• Content: The faculty will assess the content of the assignment to ensure that it is accurate, comprehensive, and relevant to the topic of the assignment.
• Structure: The faculty will assess the structure of the assignment to ensure that it is well-organized and easy to follow.
• Grammar and spelling: The tutor will assess the grammar and spelling of the assignment to ensure that it is free of errors.
• Presentation: The faculty will assess the presentation of the assignment to ensure that it is neat and well-formatted.
• Originality: The faculty will check the originality of the assignment to ensure that it is not plagiarized.

The IGNOU has released the guidelines that students must comply while preparing and submitting their assignments. Here are the updated guidelines:

All the assignment should be hand written.

Students must use A4 ruled paper (unless it is instructed on your TMA).

Leave 4 cm margin on left and right side of each page.

Do not use staplers, to bind the pages; you use need threads (what is typically found with cover files).

Avoid using any ink colour other than blue and black.

First you need to attach the cover page (You will find it at your study centre).

Then, attach a photocopy of your IGNOU ID card.

After that, attach a copy of your TMA (question paper on your assignment document).

Lastly, attach your hand written answers.

Leave one blank page in the end.

Do not use any files while submitting your assignments. Your assignment should only consist of the pages, tied with a thread.

You must take a submission receipt, which will be stamped by the study centre with submission dates. In case, your study centre is unable to provide you one, take a photocopy of the cover page of your assignment and get that stamped.

Note: For submission of practicals, you need to use a cover file.

The submission of assignments for IGNOU in 2024 varies depending on the program and the regional center. Please go to the official website of your faculty or get in touch with them directly for more particular instructions. The deadline for exams in June falls in March, while those for exams in December fall in December. You have the option of submitting your IGNOU assignments online through regional center portals, emailing, or dropped off at your study center. Ensure assignments are handwritten, scanned as PDFs, and include your name, enrollment number, course code, and program code. Follow strict submission formats and deadlines to avoid penalties. The first way to submit your assignment in IGNOU is by using the offline mode. You simply need to go to your study center to hand them directly the assignment. You can easily find the study center address on your IGNOU ID Card and on the registration portal.

Concern: If the study center is far away from your place and you are unable to go there, then you can use the courier service. To avail of this service you first need to contact your study center and request them to allow you to post the assignment to their office address. Follow the exact instructions while posting the assignment at their address.

A few of the study centers also provide the facility to online submit your assignments. For that, you just need to adhere to the following steps. You will only get to avail of this facility if your regional center is facilitating this.

• Go to the official regional center of the IGNOU.
• Open the News and Announcement Section.
• Then tap on the assignment Submission link.
• Finally, follow the instructions to upload your assignment successfully.

Your regional center might also offer you to submit your assignments via Google Forms. In that case, follow the given steps.

• Click on the link to open the Google Form.
• Sign In using the relevant ID and password and start filing the form.
• Enter the name of your regional center and follow other instructions to upload the PDF File.

Keep in mind following instructions before submitting the assignments.

• Only assignments that you write by hand will be accepted, not ones you type on a computer. PDFs should be clear and visible after you scan them, otherwise, it can lead to rejection.
• The PDF file of your assignment should not be larger than 100 MB. 
• Make sure to include a front page and the question paper with each assignment. Name the PDF file according to the instructions from your regional center.
• Submit the assignments only once.
• Don’t put a password or access permission on your PDFs. If you do, it can cause rejection of the assignments.

To know the assignment status, follow the given steps. Open the IGNOU website. Tap on the Student Zone tab. Choose the Results option. Now, look for the Assignment Status option. Provide your enrollment number along with the program code. Finally, tap submit to view the assignment status.

There is a practical component for MSCENV Program. The Study centre is in the process of scheduling the same. This is to assure you practical component will be organised within minimum duration for the Program itself considering all prevailing situations. All the concerned may not the following

A. A dedicated webpage is created on this website for updating information regarding MSCENV practicals, Schedules etc.

B. There are two components of evaluation 1. Guided Experiments 70% weightage; 2. Unguided Experiments 30% weightage.

C. Attending practicals is mandatory for appearing in the evaluation (unguided experiments section).

D. Practical Record Book - Please maintain a complete and upto date record of laboratory work. You need to prepare and bring a laboratory practical note-book for writing and porting the work you have carried out in each practical session. The note- book should contain alternate pages of ruled and untitled pages (Its is suggested to buy a 100 page practical note-book for this purpose). 

E. You are advised to prepare the page (such as principle and or theory, requirements, procedure, observations and calculations, result etc.) for recording the laboratory exercise (as available in practical manual/s). For each exercise, you should write down title of the exercise, date and time of the exercise along with results obtained and your observations. What you need to submit and write in the note-book is given at the end of each exercise.

F. Submission of Your Practical Record for Evaluation - You need to submit the practical note-book and other required items to the counsellor for evaluation and grading. Marks will be allocated based on the successful experiment and for recording the results and observations in the note-book in a proper manner as asked.

G. In the best interest of learners information will be provided in digital platforms including youtube channel of centre, centre website, applicable dedicated Whatsapp groups, Google Classroom as applicable. 

H. Learners need to carefully read and follow instructions, reflecting enrolled in a post graduation program.
