As the Nameless traverses worlds, the Express Crew takes on assignments from across the cosmos as a means to honor the way of Trailblaze .

• Dispatch two characters to take an assignment. Complete the assignment to receive the corresponding rewards.
• For each character of recommended Path dispatched, an extra reward will be given at the end of the assignment.
• Each character can only be dispatched on one assignment at a time.
• You can determine how long each assignment would take. The more time spent on an assignment, the better the completion rewards.
• Canceling a dispatched assignment without completing it will immediately release the dispatched characters, but no rewards will be given.
• As you progress through the story, you will be able to take on more assignments.

2.1 Honkai: Star Rail QOL Changes Target Assignments, Light Cones

Before every major Honkai: Star Rail patch, HoYoVerse goes over quality of life (QOL) changes, and Assignments, Light Cones, Relics, and Simulated Universe will all be optimized. All of the changes come at the end of March 2024.

Some of the smaller adjustments are quick changes that aren’t too in-depth. The Honkai: Star Rail Assignments change will be a time-saver. If you are going to be repeating the same ones, then someone can click once to claim all rewards, then click a second time to send the same characters out on the same assignments for the same amount of time again. Previously, you had to do this one-by-one for each assignment. Likewise, the Relics inventory going up by 500 to 2,000 will allow people to wait longer before sorting and sacrificing ones they may not use.

When it comes to Light Cones, that feature seems to have the most QOL changes coming in Honkai: Star Rail 2.1. Four-star Light Cones will automatically be included in salvaging unless you lock them, and it will be possible to lock all of one particular four-stars at once by selecting the option. You will also be able to superimpose them more quickly, with batch auto-add for them. Finally, you can sort all Light Cones by the Path they belong to. 

Finally, the Simulated Universe change will make it easier to get all of the first-clear rewards at once. This means you won’t need to go through a run that is far below your current Equilibrium and character level. What would happen is if you clear a higher level difficulty first, like III, you would also get the earlier ones from I and II.

This is one of two looks into Honkai: Star Rail ahead of the update. The other went over a concept in-game. There are Emanators , which are emissaries of the Aeons for different paths, and HoYoVerse explained more about them.

Honkai: Star Rail  is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the 2.1 update will arrive on March 27, 2024.

The Assignments Guide for Honkai: Star Rail. Includes the explanation of Assignments, how to unlock, and dispatch characters, and the best assignments to choose.

What Is Assignment

How to send characters, recommended assignments, a system for sending characters to collect materials.

The Assignment is a system in which up to two sets of characters are sent to locations to collect materials. No Trailblaze Power (Stamina) or other resources are required, and materials can be collected over 4~20 hours of real-time .

Assigned Characters Can Also Be Setup In Teams And Battles

You can use the characters that are sent for Assignments in battles and teams just like any other character . These characters won't become unavailable while being sent, so it's best to send them as soon as possible once the Assignments system is unlocked. Even in the early game when you don't have many characters.

1. Menu → Open "Assignments"

First, open the menu screen and tap the Assignments icon.

2. Select The Category Of Materials You Want

Open the Assignments, choose the category of the material you would like to collect. If you are not sure, choose EXP Materials/Credits first .

Material Category

3. select the assignment in the category.

After selecting a category, choose the material you need from the list.

4. Select The Appropriate Character And Time

▲ Characters in the Recommended Path are displayed at the top of the list.

After selecting a material, you will move to the screen to confirm the Character and Time before sending. Select any time and character, press "Confirm Assignment", and leave it until it is done.

As more time is extended, the number of materials also increases. Choosing a character with the Recommended Path can obtain Extra Rewards .

If You Want To Cancel It, Press "Recall"

If you want to cancel an Assignment to change materials or time, tap the "Recall" button at the bottom right of the screen. But note that the progress of the canceled Assignment will be lost, and you will not be able to continue the same Assignment .

EXP Materials & Credits Are Recommended

If there is no particular material that you're looking for, it is recommended to collect Credits (Money) and EXP Materials that are originally collected by consuming Trailblaze Power. Since they are used to upgrade all kinds of characters and are useful for characters obtained in the future, they are less likely to be wasted .

Select The Materials You Need

If there are materials that are essential for Trace upgrades or Ascension, those can be prioritized. It saves you the trouble of defeating enemies over and over again.

Honkai: Star Rail Space Station Task Force Event

Do you know what's better than Honkai: Star Rail Assignments? The extra-special Honkai: Star Rail Space Station Task Force Event Assignments , of course! Space Station Task Force Event Release Date and Duration

The Honkai: Star Rail Underground Space Station Task Force Event remains open for two weeks. Every day for the first six days of the event, four new Assignments will be added. In other words, try to log in at least six times (with a few hours in between) to make sure you complete every Assignment.

• Start : September 25
• End : October 9

How to Start the Space Station Task Force Event

The Space Station Task Force event starts with an Adventure Mission of the same name. It’s a very simple one: fast-travel to the Base Zone on Herta’s Space Station and speak with Watson . After a short conversation, you’ll be able to see the full event menu.

If you open your in-game Travel Log (event page) and click “go”, this will take you to the Assignment page. Besides the usual character materials, EXP materials/credits, and synthesis materials pages, a fourth Assignment page has appeared : the Space Station Task Force Assignments. We’ll explain this new Assignment type in more detail below.

Space Station Task Force Event Details

In short, the Honkai: Star Rail Space Station Task Force Event is a Character Assignment Event , which means that for a duration of two weeks, you may send your characters on special Assignments in return for better rewards. It's highly recommended to use the Event Assignments rather than the normal ones, as not only do you get “normal” materials in higher quantities, but the Event Assignments also award Stellar Jade – which can be exchanged for Star Rail Passes, a.k.a. Character and Light Cone Warps .

The Space Station Task Force Event has a few special rules to keep in mind:

• There are only 24 Assignments in total , with four new Assignments added every day for the first six days of the Space Station Task Force Event. You should have plenty of time to complete them all within two weeks - no need to log in every day!
• You need to assign at least two characters to start an Event Assignment. However, to get the maximum reward, it's sometimes necessary to assign additional characters. Try to use characters of the recommended Element to get more bonus rewards!
• You may assign a support character from one of your in-game friends.
• The regular Assignment limit is still applicable! For example, if you have four Assignment slots (the exact number depends on your Trailblaze Level), you can do four Event Assignments at the same time, but you won't be able to send your characters on any additional "regular" Assignments.
• Event Assignments have different rarity levels : the golden ones offer the best rewards, but also take the longest to complete. Purple follows gold, and the blue Assignments are the least valuable.

Honkai Star Rail Daily Missions [How To Complete]

Make a schedule to complete the daily missions easily in Honkai Star Rail!

To get the desired characters in Honkai Star Rail, players will have to grind so that they can have enough resources. The grinding includes Daily Missions, dispatching characters on missions, and exploring the world.  There is more to the daily missions, which is why I decided to create a Honkai Star Rail Daily Missions guide for players who are having a hard time completing them.

• There are several daily missions to do in Honkai Star Rail.
• The daily Honkai Star Rail missions include daily training , assignments , nameless honor , spending trailblaze power , and exploration .
• None of the daily missions takes much time except for explorations.
• As exploration takes time, I recommend doing it with friends as then it will be fun to do.
• You should never miss the daily missions in Honkai Star Rail, as they reset every 24 hours and gives some good rewards.
• Sending characters on assignment wouldn’t mean that you won’t be able to use them in combat or in the world.

Daily Training

The Daily Training can give +500 Activities , and they are refreshed every 24 hours. The daily objectives given are not that hard to complete, as they are mostly about defeating 20 monsters, completing a run of the Simulated Universe, or taking a photo. By completing the quests , the 500 points will give several rewards, which include 60 Stellar Jade .

The free Stellar Jades are worth doing daily, and it doesn’t even take much time, so you must never skip them, as I also try to complete them as soon as possible.

Assignments In Honkai Star Rail

Assignments are the easiest things I could find to do as Honkai Star Rail Daily Missions . This doesn’t even require me to go to the place and do anything by myself. All players need to do will be to send characters on expeditions which range from 4-20 hours .

With that said, the rewards vary from the time. If you send the character on a 4 hours expedition, the reward will be significantly less than the 20 hours expedition. So, I recommend sending the character on the 20-hour time as you will get more items based on which one you use to send the character on. 

If you are worrying that you won’t be able to those characters, then you don’t have to, as those characters will be available for combat. Moreover, some characters from certain can also increase the rewards for completing the mission . So, make sure to collect the rewards on a daily basis and send them on the missions again.

Nameless Honor

Nameless Honor’s quests also refresh every 24 hours, so whenever you’re doing the daily training, you would complete these with them simultaneously. Completing the daily training is also one of the quests in the Nameless Honor, so make sure to complete those first, then look at the other quests.

The missions will be the same every day, so you do not need to look at them anymore as you have memorized them. The Nameless Honor missions you have to complete every day are Spending 150 Trailblaze Power , Completing One Assignment , Logging In , and Completing the Daily Training .

There are also weekly missions that you can do anytime during the week, as doing them in one cannot be possible. They contain clearing Calyx and the Caverns of Corrosion, spending 1,000 Trailblaze Power, and Completing one Simulated Universe run.

Spending Trailblaze Power

Spending Trailblaze Power daily is also one of Honkai Star Rail Daily Missions . Knowing how to spend your Trailblaze Power is crucial, so you must manage them according to your needs, as they are only fully replenished in 18 hours . You can either farm the Relics or use them on Calyx Buds, as it is totally up to you. Spending Trailblaze power daily will also complete one of the missions of the Nameless Honor.

Moreover, spending the Trailblaze Power on a daily basis allowed me to upgrade my characters which helped me in combat. Consider spending Trailblaze as a daily task to do.

Exploration

While this might not seem like a daily task to many players, I consider exploration a daily task to be done in Honkai Star Rail. Exploring the world and finding chests , and solving puzzles should be done on a daily basis as this way, I get more resources, and I won’t have to explore in the end, as that would really be a drag.

Exploring as you progress with the story is better than exploring in the end. So, make sure to find some new spots and hidden chests. You should also do the same with your friends as it is really fun. 

In conclusion, you should do every single thing explained in the guide daily as they will be beneficial for you to upgrade your characters. That’s almost everything you would want to know about the Daily Missions you have to do in Honkai Star Rail . As stated by beta leaks, Honkai: Star Rail players will use a character selector to get a free four-star unit in version 2.1. On the game's first anniversary, they will earn various rewards, including Primogems and profile stickers. Moreover, players will recruit some Penacony-based characters, such as Gallagher and Aventurine, to upgrade their party setup.

Honkai: Star Rail Leaks Rarity and Path for New Character Moze

As per a beta leak from Scoopy, Honkai: Star Rail version 2.1 will bring the much-awaited ''Claim Al'' button for assignments. Players can use it to collect all the rewards with one click after completing expeditions. Despite being a small quality-of-life change, the "Claim All" button can help Trailblazers skip the drudgery.

Honkai: Star Rail Players Can Earn Valuable Materials Using Assignments

Honkai: Star Rail 's Assignments is an in-game system that lets players send up to two characters to various locations to collect items within a time period. Trailblazers can always recall the dispatched characters and put them in their respective teams. However, doing so will result in the forfeiture of any reward. One thing to note is that Honkai: Star Rail players must reach level 12 to unlock the Assignments feature.

Honkai: Star Rail players have been requesting several quality-of-life features that would contribute to immersion. For instance, one suggested the developers remove the banner-wide character image on the real-time combat viewer and instead put a simple tab showing all the buffs on units. Besides, some indicated that Honkai: Star Rail desperately needs more combat speed options, which allows Trailblazers to run domains faster than usual.

Honkai: Star Rail players are eagerly waiting for the second phase of version 2.0, which will mark the debut of the five-star character Sparkle, otherwise known as Sparkle. The Quantum-based unit has lately risen to prominence thanks to her leaked skill set and design. According to reliable leaks, Sparkle scales off with her ATK , dealing a massive amount of Quantum damage to a single enemy. Upon activating ultimate, she recovers four skill points for allies and inflicts the Chiper effect. Furthermore, the character regenerates additional energy, extends the duration of her CRIT damage boost, and increases all allies' attacks when there is more than one Quantum unit on the team.

Honkai: Star Rail

The fourth entry in HoYoverse's Honkai franchise, Honkai: Star Rail is a free-to-play sci-fi RPG. Utilizing a turn-based combat system, the game includes dungeons, multiple planets, and a gacha system for unlocking new characters. Debuting on April 26, 2023, on PC and mobile, Honkai: Star Rail has also been announced for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

Honkai: Star Rail update 2.1 will add one-click Daily Assignments

I t’s been a trend for Honkai: Star Rail to receive quality-of-life improvements that fans of Genshin Impact have been requesting for their game long before they’re being implemented in the anime open-world RPG. However, HoYoverse has turned the tables on itself this time around – update 2.1 for Honkai: Star Rail will bring an improvement first introduced to Genshin Impact over to the turn-based space RPG in another example of its textbook cross-game feedback implementation.

Starting with Honkai: Star Rail 2.1, players can collect all rewards from Daily Assignments with one click and send their characters back out on the same tasks with another click – that’s much more efficient than the current method, which has players accept the rewards for each Daily Assignment separately before they can send out their characters again. Just like the one-click Expeditions in Genshin Impact, this improvement will save players lots of time every day.

Since Daily Assignments provide a bit of extra resource and material income, players should definitely make full use of the feature to ensure that they never lack any basic ingredients for character ascension or consumable crafting.

This isn’t the only positive change made in update 2.1. Players can expect their inventory space for Relics and Planar Ornaments to be upgraded once again, allowing them to store more of these items at a time – just in case they might come in handy for an upcoming character . With how difficult it is to farm useful Relics, you’ll absolutely want to hold on to promising pieces.

In their latest livestream, the developers mentioned that farming Relics and Planar Ornaments will become easier in the future, starting with the second category. They stated that they were aware of player frustrations with the current system and had some changes in mind to try and alleviate those issues. Update 2.3 will bring the first batch of improvements in this regard with more to come later. Aside from revealing that those changes will relate to Planar Ornaments and the Simulated Universe, they didn’t provide any further details.

The Honkai: Star Rail 2.1 Banner and event details have been officially announced for the latest patch, titled Into the Yawning Chasm.

Along with continuing Penacony's story, we're getting the usual two Banner phases and new time-limited events - with the Honkai: Star Rail 2.1 Banners featuring two new 5-Star characters and one new 4-Star. There's also a host of bonuses coming to celebrate Honkai: Star Rail's one-year anniversary!

Honkai Star Rail 2.1 release date and time

Honkai Star Rail 2.1 will release on Wednesday 27th March . It should follow the usual maintenance schedule and release at 3am (GMT). Due to time zone differences, 2.1 actually releases in the United States on Tuesday 26th March at 11pm (ET).

For other time zones, the Honkai Star Rail 2.1 release date and time is:

• East Coast US : Tuesday 26th March, 11pm (ET)
• Central US : Tuesday 26th March, 10pm (CT)
• West Coast US : Tuesday 26th March, 8pm (PT)
• Australia : Wednesday 27th March, 2pm (AET)
• Japan : Wednesday 27th March, 12pm (JST)
• Europe : Wednesday 27th March, 4am (CET)
• UK : Wednesday 27th March, 3am (GMT)

As this is only an approximate time for how long the servers are down you might be able to play the 2.1 patch a little before or after the times above, but based on HoYoverse's track record, the times they provide are almost always accurate.

Honkai Star Rail 2.1 Banners

There are three new playable characters making their debut in the version 2.1 Banners: Acheron, Aventurine, and Gallagher , with 5-Stars Luocha and Jingliu returning.

Phase 1 of the 2.1 Banner schedule begins with Acheron and Luocha , with 4-Star Gallagher debuting on both their Banners. Acheron is a new 5-Star Lightning attacker of The Nihility path on her Words of Yore Banner, Loucha is a returning 5-Star Imaginary attacker of the Abundance path on his Laic Pursuit Banner, and Gallagher is a new 4-Star Fire attacker of the Abundance path who is boosted on both their Banners.

These version 2.1 Phase 1 Banners start on Wednesday 27th March and should end on Wednesday 17th April.

In Phase 2 of version 2.1 we then have Aventurine and Jingliu . Aventurine is a new 5-Star Imaginary attacker of The Preservation path on his Gilded Imprisonment Banner, and Jingliu is a returning 5-Star Ice attacker of The Destruction path on her Gentle Eclipse of the Moon Banner.

These version 2.1 Phase 2 Banners should run from Wednesday 17th April to Tuesday 7th May.

In summary, all of the new characters and returning 5-Star characters you can Warp on during 2.1 are:

• Acheron (Words of Yore Banner - Phase 1) : New 5-Star Lightning character of The Nihility path.
• Luocha (Laic Pursuit Banner - Phase 1) : Returning 5-Star Imaginary character of The Abundance path.
• Gallagher (Words of Yore and Foreseen, Foreknown, Foretold Banners - Phase 1) : New 4-Star Fire character of The Abundance path.
• Aventurine (Gilded Imprisonment Banner - Phase 2) : New 5-Star Imaginary character of The Preservation path.
• Jingliu (Gentle Eclipse of the Moon Banner - Phase 2) : Returning 5-Star Ice character of The Destruction path.

In addition to these new characters, we're getting two new 5-Star Light Cones in the Brilliant Fixation Banner. Acheron's signature weapon Along the Passing Shore of The Nihility path will run alongside her character Banner in Phase 1 of version 2.1. Aventurine's signature Inherently Unjust Destiny of The Preservation path will then run alongside his Banner in Phase 2.

The Bygone Reminiscence Light Cone Banner features a rerun of Luocha's 5-Star Echoes of the Coffin Abundance path Light Cone during Phase 1 of 2.1, and Jingliu's 5-Star I Shall Be My Own Sword Destruction path Light Cone during Phase 2.

• Anniversary content, including Anniversary versions of Realm of the Strange and Planar Fissure

• Festive Gifts event - earn up to 20 Star Rail Special Passes
• Free 1,600 Stellar Jade on 26th April via mail
• New birthday cake design from 26th April to celebrate the one year anniversary of Honkai Star Rail's launch
• Simulated Universe update - World 9 opens
• Increased Relic inventory limit
• Two new Planar Ornament sets - Sigonia, the Unclaimed Desolation, along with Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm
• New Boss - Ten Stonehearts: Aventurine of Stratagems
• Fate's Ensemble - A new feature which allows you to see the stories of some characters outside of the Astral Express crew
• Update to Fate's Atlas - Ability to check which character's perspective each mission, ongoing or not, is told from
• Ability to claim Assignment rewards and redeploy them in one move

In addition to this lineup of permanent content and login events, we're getting three limited-time events during the 2.1 update to Honkai Star Rail. Here's a quick summary of these time-limited events in Honkai Star Rail 2.1:

Vignettes in a Cup

Here you'll find yourself working as a drinksmith at the Dreamjolt Hostelry. Help the manager, Siobhan, mix a variety of drinks for the monstrous customers. You'll need to adjust the flavour, while adding decorations and different ingredients, without forgetting to listen to the customer's troubles!

The more customers you serve, the more revenue level upgrades you'll gain and, in turn, rewards. Eventually you'll have the chance to unlock a 4-Star character . Based off the 2.1 livesteam, this character could be Gallagher, Misha, Xueyi, Hanya, Guinaifen, Luka, Lynx or Yukong.

Tides of War: Untainted Childhood Memories Passionate-Heart Burning-Soul Ultimate Collection

Now that's a long event name, so let's just call it Tides of War. This is a battle focused event where you rack up Grit Value as you fight, doing so will eventually allow you to reach the ultimate Grit Phase. Here you'll gain a 'Might Unleashed' moment which brings with it some powerful boosts. You'll have to pick your team carefully to make sure you benefit from the right boosts to unleash these strong attacks!

Cosmodyssey

Cosmodyssey is the first one year anniversary event occuring in Honkai: Star Rail and sees you playing a board game inspired by past locations in the game.

Every day you'll be able to roll the dice which will result in different things happening across the game and, as you play, you'll be able to collect Trailblaze Funds. These funds can be handed over to Pom-Pom for a variety of rewards. Though Trailblaze Funds can also be used to purchase things on the board like houses. That's not all though - you can even send characters out on assignments and encounter chance events. Remember, this is a board game, so, if you make a choice you don't like, you can reroll your dice.

There's also a selection of mini-games within this event, including the Windfall Slot Machine and Cookie Bakery, and you can do some Interastral Peace Shopping. (Don't forget about the personality test either. There's a lot going on in Cosmodyssey.)

One-Year Anniversary Special Event

You'll be able to enjoy a variety of bonuses during the One-Year Anniversary Special Event. This includes triple rewards from a special version of the Realm of the Strange and Planar Fissure events.

There will also be a Festive Gifts event running during the anniversary. By logging into Honkai Star Rail every day for seven days, you'll be able to earn a total of 20 Star Rail Special Passes for free. On top of that, on 26th April, every player will get 1,600 Stellar Jade via the mail.

Finally, the First-Time Top-Up Bonuses on the Oneiric Pouch will be reset once 2.1 releases.
