IELTS Sports Essay – IELTS Writing Task 2 Samples & Tips

  • Updated On December 12, 2023
  • Published In IELTS Preparation 💻

Writing task 2 in the IELTS test includes essays where the candidate’s writing skills are tested. The applicants must choose from the list of essay topics given in the question paper and write a 250 words excerpt justifying the topic to get good marks.

Table of Contents

What qualifies as an essay worthy of a band score of 6.5 or more depends on the person checking the exam, but there are some ground rules which you must follow. While these rules apply to everyone giving the exam, your content, vocabulary usage, punctuation, coherence, and other essential things makes the essay better.

Useful Tips for Writing an IELTS Essay

For the sports IELTS writing task 2, here are a few tips and tricks to improve your band score.

  • Familiarity with the topic
  • Time management
  • Satisfying the requirements

We will now discuss these individually to get a better understanding.

Outline: The essay outline should be clear and precisely related to the topic. This means that at no point in the essay your content should digress from the core points.

The standard outline includes an introduction, the main content body, and the conclusion. Specifically, the introduction should have the power to immediately hook the reader to your essay and provide an overview of your ideas and what the reader will find in the main content body.

So make sure that you are investing some time creating a rough outline of your essay before you start writing. An outline will ensure that you stick to the topic and present relevant ideas.

Vocabulary: An important aspect of your sports essay IELTS exam is using the right words that demonstrate your hold over the English language. Not to mention your knowledge about the subject matter, in this case, sports. So, make sure to use some sports-specific terms in the essay.

With the other types of words that you will be using, too, it is important to ensure relevance, placement, and understanding. The words you write must be legible and rightly placed in context.

Familiarity with the topic: Nobody is expecting you to be aware of a topic in detail. But you should have some idea about the current and trending topics. In sports, topics like substance use in sportspersons, steroids, the credibility of the notion that sports are dangerous, children in sports, and a few more are always current.

The topics in the IELTS exam may also revolve around the same. For instance —

  • Some people think dangerous sports should be banned, while others think people should choose for themselves. (Academic Test, 2017).
  • Many countries want to host international sports events, while other countries think that hosting sports events has more problems than benefits. Discuss both views. (GT Test, 2017).

These two topics were taken from previous years’ IELTS exam question papers. As you can see, the topics are not very specific. They can be easily answered provided you understand the general things involved here. Plus, to gain a better score, you must cite relevant examples to justify the points you will mention in the exam.

Time Management: You cannot and should not spend too much time writing the IELTS essay. The ideal time to spend on this task is 40 minutes, and that too, considering the time you need to plan, understand, write, and review.

So, if you are taking more time than this today, start practising and bring it down to under 40 minutes. Writing 250 words should not take more than 20 minutes. The other 20 minutes you need to spend on planning and other tasks.

One of the main reasons examinees spend more than 40 minutes is their failure to process their thoughts or they get confused with what to write. So, move back to the first point where we talked about the IELTS writing task 2 sports topic outline.

Following the outline can help you complete the task on time. You will be able to process your thoughts easily without deviating from the topic.

Relevant Response: The IELTS writing task 2 is about academic writing. Your prerogative must be to present all the pointers. For instance, “Some people think that dangerous sports should be banned, while others think people should be free to choose.” In this topic, you need to write about both perspectives.

One is for the argument, and the second is against the idea. In both, you need to cite relevant examples to justify your statements and end the discussion with your point of view and rationale behind choosing it.

The academic writing test will mostly ask you to write different perspectives within the 250 words limit. So, while attempting this test, make sure that you present all the information with the pointers mentioned above. Most importantly, do not mix the ‘for’ and ‘against’ arguments at any point.

Sample Answer for IELTS Essay on Sports

Below you will find an essay on a sports topic that we have chosen at random. The model essay is written according to the 6.5 band score. So, writing this type of essay can get you a good score. Make sure to follow every statement and the presentation followed in the essay.

Some people say that sports must be included in the school curriculum. However, others hold the opinion that it shouldn’t be there as it can lead to wasting time, which can be utilised for more effective academic training.

Discuss both perspectives and give your own opinion.

Students nowadays are expected to learn a wide gamut of subjects. This makes some people believe that athletics or sports should be a part of the school curriculum. However, others believe that sports take time in learning, practising, and then training. I think that sports should be a part of the school program and should be started from an early age. Today, we will elaborate on both sides of the argument to paint a better picture.

Going into sports means the students can start doing some physical activity at an early age. Any type of physical activity helps increase the blood flow to the brain, which finetunes our neurons while promoting cell growth.

Sports plays an important role for students as they become mentally capable of learning new things and physically capable of investing time in studying. I think that going into sports will make a student active, more knowledgeable, and social because they make friends while playing.

The naysayers believe that the time students spend on sports can be otherwise invested in becoming better at academics. Being good at academics is essential as it helps students become intelligent and successful. Hence, parents don’t like their kids participating in sports because they don’t want them to be distracted from studying.

As you can see, some parents wish to see their kids playing sports, and others don’t share the same feeling. But, I think that sports is an integral part of education and both of them must be developed simultaneously.

The essay above satisfies the requirements of the task. We have stuck to the word limit and used some relevant words relevant to the topic. You don’t have room to write too much or too little in the IELTS writing task. So, the task is to find a balance between both arguments.

Provide reasoning for your own knowledge and coherently present the information.

Additional Practice Essays on Sports

Now that you have a good understanding of how to write an excellent essay, here are some more questions that you can use to improve your writing skills. Just remember to use the information provided in this blog to get top scores.

  • With the increasing incidence of puberty and being overweight, some people think sports should become a part of the school and university curriculum. To what extent do you agree with this point? Elaborate.
  • Should violent sports like boxing and other forms of martial arts be banned from broadcasting on TV and in international sports events like the Olympics? Discuss and justify your opinions.
  • Sports are great for learning how to work with the team, but some parents think it teaches the vice of competing. Share your opinion and discuss both views.

While you work on these topics, make sure to understand what is asked and write accordingly. You need to justify your requirements and present the information in an easy-to-understand manner.

Model Answer 1

One of my all-time favorite sports to watch is basketball, a dynamic and exhilarating game that captivates me every time. Its fast-paced nature, coupled with the impressive athleticism of the players, makes basketball not just a sport, but a riveting spectacle. The energy and strategy involved in each game always leave me in awe, as players deftly maneuver the ball and make split-second decisions that can turn the tide of the match.

I find myself most drawn to watching basketball during the playoffs, when the stakes are highest and the games are most intense. These are the moments when teams and players truly shine, showcasing their skills, teamwork, and determination to clinch the victory. The playoffs are a period when the sports community comes alive, buzzing with predictions, analyses, and spirited discussions, and I eagerly dive into this wave of excitement.

Watching basketball becomes even more enjoyable when shared with friends and family. There's something about the collective experience of cheering for a team, groaning at missed shots, and celebrating the victories that amplifies the joy of the game. We often gather at someone's house, set up a comfortable viewing area, and immerse ourselves in the thrill of the match. The camaraderie and friendly banter add a layer of warmth to the experience, making these moments not just about watching a sport, but about building memories with loved ones.

In conclusion, basketball for me is more than just a game; it's a source of excitement, a reason to gather with loved ones, and an opportunity to be part of a larger community. Its blend of athleticism, strategy, and team spirit makes it a sport that I not only love to watch but also deeply appreciate for the values it represents.

Model Answer 2

One sport that always captures my attention and enthusiasm is football, a game that's celebrated globally for its blend of strategy, skill, and sheer excitement. Football, or soccer as known in some regions, is a sport that epitomizes teamwork, endurance, and the thrill of competition. Every match is a new story, unfolding with unpredictable twists and turns, keeping me glued to the screen or the edge of my seat in the stadium.

My fascination with football intensifies during the World Cup season, a time when the sport transcends boundaries and unites fans worldwide. The World Cup brings together the best teams, showcasing a high level of play that's both inspiring and breathtaking. During this period, I make it a point to catch as many games as possible, often rearranging my schedule to ensure I don't miss the key matches. The World Cup is not just a tournament; it's a global festival of sportsmanship and unity.

Watching football is a communal experience for me, often shared with a diverse group of friends and fellow enthusiasts. We gather at local sports bars or at each other's homes, creating an atmosphere buzzing with anticipation and camaraderie. These gatherings are about more than just watching a game; they're social events where we debate strategies, celebrate the highs, and commiserate over the lows. The shared passion for the sport strengthens our bonds and often leads to lively discussions and an exchange of perspectives.

In essence, football is more than a mere sport to me; it's a source of endless excitement and a platform for social interaction. The sport's ability to bring people together, create lasting memories, and ignite conversations is unparalleled. Its universal appeal lies in its simplicity and the raw emotions it evokes, making it a truly captivating spectacle to watch.

Model Answer 3

Tennis, a sport renowned for its blend of elegance, precision, and intensity, has always held a special place in my heart. Its unique combination of mental strategy and physical prowess makes every match a captivating display of skill and determination. The one-on-one nature of the game, pitting player against player, adds a personal and intense dimension to each contest, making it thrilling to watch.

My interest in tennis peaks during the Grand Slam tournaments, particularly the Wimbledon Championships. These prestigious events showcase the pinnacle of tennis talent, where legends are made and underdogs rise. The grass courts of Wimbledon, with their storied history and iconic status, add an extra layer of excitement to the matches. During these tournaments, I set aside time to immerse myself in the nail-biting matches, often staying up late to catch live broadcasts of my favorite players battling it out for the coveted title.

The experience of watching tennis is often a solitary one for me, a time to disconnect from the hustle of daily life and lose myself in the beauty of the game. However, it also becomes a topic of lively discussion with fellow tennis enthusiasts. Whether it's dissecting a player's technique, debating match strategies, or predicting outcomes, these conversations add depth to my appreciation of the sport.

In conclusion, tennis stands out to me as a sport that not only entertains but also inspires. It's a testament to human skill, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence. Watching tennis isn't just about following a game; it's about witnessing human drama unfold on the court, where every stroke, every point, tells a story of ambition, struggle, and triumph.

Cue Card # 54: Describe your favourite sport

Ielts cue card/ candidate task card # 54, describe your favourite sport..

You should say:

  • how often you play it or watch it
  • how you play it

and explain why this is your favourite sport.

[You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes. You have one minute to think about what you are going to say. You can make some notes to help you if you wish.]

Model Answer 1:

Not sure when or under which circumstances, the French word “love” was started to be used in tennis in order to describe “zero”, according to the Oxford dictionary though, “love” really means love. Anyway, call it for the “love of the game” or “love of the French word”, I like watching long tennis, and I also like to play it at least once a week.

Tennis is a game played on a rectangular court by either two players (singles) or four (doubles). Players stand on opposite sides of a net and use a “stringed” racket to hit a tennis ball back and forth to each other in order to win enough points to win a game and enough games to win a set and enough sets to win a match. Each tennis match is made up of three to five sets at max (3 sets for women and 5 sets for men). To win a set, you must win at least six games. The games are scored starting at “love” (or zero) and go up to 40, but that’s actually just four points. From love, the first point is 15, then 30, then 40, then the game point, which wins the game. One of the most unique aspects of tennis sport is it can last for long, long hours, sometimes, even days!

I like Tennis because it seems to be a very “gentleman’s” game where one doesn’t have to get any physical contact with his/her opponents. Besides, it is a game that I can play most of my life, even when I am “old”, as it is really refreshing to see people in their 80s and 90s playing this great sport! Another unique aspect of this sport is that men and women can actually play together and compete together which rarely happens in any other sports. It is great for families just as it is good for my physical fitness as well.

Model Answer 2:

Cricket is insanely popular in our country, and I love it more than any other outdoor game or sport I know about. Introduced by the British during the colonial era, it has become so popular in our country that people are crazy about this sport. I’d like to thank you for letting me talk about this sport, which happens to be my favourite sport as well.

Cricket is played between two teams, and each team has eleven players on their side. It has three different formats namely “One Day Internationals”, “Test matches”, and “Twenty20 Internationals”. Usually, the first team scores run by hitting the ball while the fielding side tries to get them out. The first batting team scores a total run on the scoreboard and then the second team tries to beat it. If they succeed, they are declared the winner; otherwise, the first team wins. The game is played in an open and plain playground and batting and bowling are done in a 22-yard pitch.

Cricket is a healthy game that improves the player’s limbs and muscles. I have been playing it since early childhood and this game is in my blood. However, due to my busy and tight schedule, these days, I can’t play it as often as I would like to. Let’s say, I play cricket once or twice a month. But I never forget to follow international cricket events when big teams compete.

Cricket is my favourite sport because I know how to play this sport and every rule that governs this game. I’ve spent a significant amount of time both playing and watching this game, and it is only natural that I would like it than other games or sports that I’ve not watched or played that much. But perhaps the most prominent reason why it is my favourite sport is that we are a cricket-loving nation and we fanatically support our national team both from passion and patriotism whenever they play.

I am a great fan of basketball. I used to practice this game since I was in class 5th. My parents and my coach encouraged me a lot to perform well in my favourite sport. I believe that it is a game that combines strategy, athleticism, and teamwork . The best thing I like about this sport is the dribbling of the basketball. I love playing basketball with my friends at the society’s basketball court.

We used to gather every evening at 6:30 and play a match regularly to maintain the stamina and the pace of precision shooting. The winning situation in this game is completely dependent on teamwork, the result could be truly magical. Basketball is the sport that keeps me captivated with its adrenaline-pumping excitement.

Essay on My Favourite Sport 250 words

My favourite sport is everyone’s favourite. Yes, Cricket it is. Cricket is often known as the ‘ Gentleman’s Game .’ Almost every Indian loves cricket for us this sport is not just a game it is an emotion. The entire Nation keeps a keen eye on the World Cup match when our country is performing.

My idol is Hon’ble Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni. In my childhood, I tried to copy their style and always wished to be a good cricket player. As it is rightly said ‘Practice makes a Man Perfect.’ I also believed in it and practised with my school cricket team to become a good cricket player. My endurance and dedication helped me to secure the position of opening batsman for the school cricket team and we are presenting our school at the district-level cricket competition.

The main reason cricket resonates with me is its rich history and traditions. It’s a sport that has been played for centuries, and it carries with it a sense of timelessness. The iconic venues, the legends of the game, and the celebrated rivalries all contribute to the sport’s allure. Whether it’s the Ashes battles between England and Australia or the fervent India-Pakistan contests, cricket has a way of gripping the hearts and minds of fans around the world.

Cricket not only teaches sportsmanship but also helps us learn about teamwork, patience, dedication, etc. My dream is to build a successful cricket career. To accomplish my goals I am planning to take admission in the cricket academy and learn from experts.

In conclusion, cricket is more than a sport to me; it’s a culture, a passion, and a source of endless joy in my life. Its rich heritage, technical intricacies, and life lessons will forever held close to my heart.

Essay on My Favourite Sport Badminton

Among all the indoor and outdoor activities, I love to play badminton the most. Badminton is played as an indoor and outdoor game but traditionally it was an indoor game. It is one of the most admired sports among children and adults. Badminton is my favourite sport because it requires speed, practice, precision, stamina, and accuracy all at the same time.

A player needs to be very attentive while playing badminton. When each stroke of the shuttle makes a ‘whoosh’ sound, it infuses a feeling of competitiveness and enthusiasm to perform extraordinarily against the opponent.

I am a huge admirer of Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu. Watching them perform makes me feel so proud and more inclined towards the sport. It’s my dream to play a badminton tournament at the National level and win for the country.

Describe your favourite sport | IELTS Speaking Part 2: IELTS Cue Answer

Learn How To Answer IELTS Speaking Test Part 2 : CUE Cards.

Sample Response 1:

My favourite sport is basketball. I play it at least twice a week at a local sports centre, and I often watch professional games on TV or online.

To play basketball, you need two teams, and the objective is to score points by shooting the ball through the opposing team’s basket. There are various rules regarding how you can move the ball, defend, and attack, but the game’s essence is fast-paced and demands teamwork and individual skill.

What makes basketball my favourite sport is its blend of strategy, athleticism, and collaboration. It requires both physical prowess and sharp mental acumen. The sound of the ball bouncing, the thrill of making a shot, and the camaraderie with teammates all combine to make basketball not just a game for me, but a passion.

Sample Response 2:

My favourite sport is soccer, known as football in most countries. I play soccer every weekend with my friends, and I rarely miss a match of my favourite club on television.

Soccer is played with two teams of eleven players, and the goal is to score more goals than the opposing team within the regulation time. The game requires agility, stamina, precise coordination, and strategic thinking.

What draws me to soccer is its universal appeal and the sheer excitement it generates. It’s a sport that transcends cultural barriers. I love the fluidity of the game, how situations can change in a split second, and the ecstatic feeling when your team scores a goal. It’s not just a sport to me, but a representation of life’s dynamism and excitement.

Sample Response 3:

My favourite sport is swimming. I swim almost daily at my local pool, and although it’s more of an individual sport, I do follow competitive swimming events during the Olympics and other international meets.

Swimming involves moving through water using one’s limbs and can be performed in different styles like freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly, and backstroke. It’s both a recreational activity and a competitive sport.

I love swimming because it’s a perfect blend of relaxation and rigorous exercise. It’s a way to clear my mind, meditate in motion, and at the same time, it’s a great workout for the entire body. The sensation of gliding through the water, the rhythm of my breath, and the sheer joy of propelling myself forward make swimming my favourite sport.

3. Câu hỏi thường gặp chủ trong chủ đề Talk about your favorite Sport – Part 1

3.1. Do you like to watch sports on TV?

Well, I think I’m not a big fan of sports. I only watch a few major sports events in the world such as World Cup and Olympic Games. Moreover, as I’m always busy with my work, I spend my leisure time pursuing other interests like listening to music or going shopping.

3.2. Do you play any sports?

I don’t play any sports, but I work out at the gym with a personal trainer who helps me design a suitable training program. When going to the gym, the very first step that I need to take is to do some warm up by stretching, bending over and doing jumping jacks. After this stage, I will work out intensely, which can put my muscles in pain for the first few days.

3.3. What are the most popular sports in your country?

In my country, football is the most common sport activity and  I think it is considered the king of sports. People prefer football over any kinds of sports because of the animating atmosphere it brings back. They go wild when our team wins a game- they even drive around waving flags and honking.

3.4. What is your favorite sports star?

My favorite football player is Lionel Messi. It is not just his dribbling skills or his nose to sniff out a goal from nothing that makes him one of the most revered footballers of all time, but he is also someone who celebrates the efforts of his team and feels happy when other strikers succeed in putting the ball in the net.

3.5. What kind of sports would you like to try in the future?

If I have more free time, I would like to try tennis. I think it will be good for my health, both physically and mentally, as this sport requires concentration and endurance. It’s also a lot of fun because it can be played as a recreational activity with friends and family.

4. Bài mẫu Talk about your favorite sport – Part 2

4.1. bài mẫu talk about your favorite sport – football.

I would like to talk about my favorite sport, which is football , the king of sport to everyone in Vietnam.

I first knew about it when I was 15 years old. It was my classmates who invited me to join his football club with other friends in his neighborhood. I had a great time with them, for sure.

I used to play it after school with my friends as it was the only free time I have for the whole day. Nowadays I am pretty busy with my work and study so I had to give up the hobby . But sometimes if I have a long holiday I will arrange a small football match with my old classmates. Those football matches often end with us being in a small restaurant where we drink and chit-chat.

I love this sport for several reasons: First, it helps to improve my physical and mental health. Second, I can also learn teamwork skills which are crucial in all aspects of life. Last but not least, since I started playing this sport, I have made a lot of friends who are now my best playmates.

4.2. Bài mẫu Talk about your favorite sport – Swimming

I would like to talk about my favorite sport, which is swimming .

I first knew about it when I was 10 years old. My mom thought that I should learn to swim at an early age so that I wouldn’t drown in the water. Frankly speaking, I kinda enjoyed the swimming class as I guess I was born with the Water element.

Nowadays, I still keep the habit of going to the swimming pool every Saturday afternoon with my boyfriend who is also a fan of this water sport. Only when I am snowed under a heavy workload do I ever skip a day.

I love this sport for several reasons: First, it helps to keep my body in perfect shape. Second, swimming is a great sport for me to improve my height. Last but not least, since I started this sport, I barely feel stressed or overworked. All in all, I suggest this sport is a must-have pastime for everyone.

Swimming

4.3. Bài mẫu Talk about your favorite sport – Badminton

I would like to talk about my favorite sport, which is badminton , a popular sport in Vietnam.

I first knew about it when I was 15 years old. My father thought that I was a bit overweight so he forced me to join a badminton training course with his friends. I have to admit that even though I was a bit upset for being made to do something against my will, I soon got into it after only a week.

Unfortunately, these days, as a white-collar, I mostly spend my day in the office and only reach home by 7 p.m. So, I do not have any time for badminton anymore.

Anyway, I still love this sport for several reasons: First, it helped me to lose some weight which led to better health. Second, when I practiced the sport in the sports center near my house, I made plenty of cool friends who supported me a lot in life. Last but not least, after knowing this sport, I would say for sure I could overcome my timidity of being a big size person and make an effort to change my look. All in all, I suggest this sport is a must-have pastime for everyone.

Describe your favorite sport - Badminton

4.4. Bài mẫu Talk about your favorite sport – Taekwondo

I would like to talk about my favorite sport, which is Taekwondo , a kind of martial art from Korea.

I first knew about it when I was 15 years old. My parents thought that I should learn something to defend myself from bullies at school. Also, I was a bit overweight so this was a perfect sport for me. I soon got into it quickly and it has become my most favorite pastime activity even until now when I am 23 years old.

Oftentimes, as I have no classes on Sunday afternoon, I will spend my free time enjoying this sport with other martial artists in a sports club near my house. They are quite helpful in showing me some tactics and effective moves. Sometimes we hold some small matches for fun and have a feast in a small restaurant afterward.

There are several reasons why I am truly in love with Taekwondo. First, thanks to this sport, I could lose some weight and at the moment I have a kind of a fit body. Second, since I started this sport I have hardly catch any common health issues like fever, flu, or cold. Third, my social circle has been getting wider and wider as I have met so many cool mates who come from all walks of life. All in all, I suggest this sport is a must-have pastime to try.

your favorite Sport - Taekwondo

4.5. Bài mẫu Talk about your favorite sport – Running

I would like to talk about my favorite sport, which is running , an easy and free sport to try for everyone.

I only started it a few months ago thanks to my colleagues who are professional runners. I was convinced by how well-shaped they look and how passionate they are about this sport. Therefore, I decided to follow them and try running in the park near my office. Honestly speaking, I fell in love with it pretty quickly after a week though at the beginning I was almost exhausted.

I always reach the park at 5 p.m after work then run around it until 6 p.m. On Saturday when I only work in the morning, I spend more than two hours running in the afternoon and I have to admit that Saturday is the most productive day for me to run. Sometimes when my colleagues can join me in the park, we have a great journey together and share fun office stories during our breaks.

There are several reasons why I am fond of this sport. First, it is a rather cheap and easy sport to try. All we need is a pair of running shoes and a bottle of water. Second, this is a sport that everyone of all age brackets and genders can enjoy, which also brought me some new friends while doing it in the park. They are quite nice and friendly people. Third, since I started this sport I hardly catch any common health issues like fever, flu, or cold. What’s more? I can perform better at work and show higher productivity only after a month of training. I mean I can work for longer hours without feeling tired. All in all, I recommend that everyone try this sport.

Describe your favorite Sport - Running

Essay on My Favourite Sport 200 Words

Badminton is my favourite sport. It can be played indoors and outdoors. It is a great sport for fitness as well as entertainment. People from every age group can play badminton. It is an easy game to play. This sport came into existence in the 19th century when Britishers were ruling India.

It originated from a game called George Cajoles that started in Pune. It is played with a lightweight racket and a shuttlecock which is swung in the air with the help of rackets. It is a sport which makes me energetic and active. It is the source of my energy and entertainment.

I play badminton with my classmates in my school and I play with my best friend in the evening. I love this game because it requires speed and accuracy and I am skilled at both.  This game was considered an official sport in the Olympics in 1992.

Though it originated in England, it is now widely played in Asian countries such as India, South Korea, Indonesia, China, etc. Playing keeps me healthy and active throughout the day. I usually play for entertainment but when I feel competitive I get serious and play with precision.

Many organizations conduct these badminton events at the zonal, regional and national levels. I have played at the regional level. Playing this game relieves my stress and makes my mood good. It’s my favourite game to play in every mood.

My Favourite Sport Essay 250 Words

Cricket is my favourite sport. Cricket is a sport that is widely played across the globe and it is played by everyone irrespective of their caste, creed or colour. It is also called the Gentleman’s Game as it was played by British officers back in the 16th century.

I play cricket every day in the evening with my neighbourhood friends. Although we don’t obey the rules of cricket, it is a great source of physical exercise and entertainment. We play in a team of 5 versus 5 whereas in this game of cricket each team has 11 members.

Before the game starts we toss a coin and whoever gets the head wins to choose between batting and bowling. This is an outdoor game, it is played with a bat, and ball along with the stumps. It is one of the most famous games of India. My favourite cricketer is Virat Kohli.

In the game of cricket, each team competes with the other and the team with the highest scores wins the game. There’s an umpire who observes the game and ensures that rules are being followed. Players have to listen to the umpire and the judgement of the umpire is the final decision.

Cricket is a popular game and it has got its diversity because it is played by almost everyone. People also make careers in the field of cricket as the cricketers earn huge amounts of money by just playing. That’s the reason why cricket is my favourite game. Everyone should play one or another sport to stay healthy and fit.

Playing is a great habit and there is no age for an individual to play. It keeps an individual healthy, energetic and active throughout the day. Moreover, it releases stress, and tension and makes our mood good. Playing is a great source of entertainment and fun.

Therefore, people in order to stay healthy and fit should have some playing habits. I hope this article helps you in finding what you were looking for.
