Essay on My Favourite Book Ramayana in English
Ramayana is one of the main epics of the Hindu religion. It is a sacred book which teaches us about life. People believe that it was written by Valmiki. Ramayana is kept in houses and most people read it daily because reading it is like worshipping God.
Ramayana tells the story of Lord Ram who was the king of Ayodhya. Lord Ram’s father had three wives. When the time came for Lord Ram to become the king and sit on the throne, there occurs a problem. Kaikeyi asks her husband that her own son should become the king instead of Ram. She also asks him to send Ram to forest. Ram goes to forest with his wife, Sita for 14 years. Ram’s cousin brother Laxman also goes with him because he loves and respects him the most.
In the forest, Sita was kidnapped by evil Ravana. Then Ram goes to bring back his wife. Lord Hanuman and his monkey tribes help him. Ram kills Ravana and comes back to Ayodhya with Sita. People always celebrate their victory by lighting Diyas.
Ramayana teaches us about our duties. From Lord Ram, we learn that a king must listen to everyone in his kingdom. Lord Ram also teaches us how to be humble. He respects his father and loves his younger brothers. Goddess Sita is a strong woman who doesn’t get afraid of Ravana.
Ramayana is a poetic record of our ancestor’s history and their ways of living. It teaches everyone to become dutiful, loving and respectful towards others.

Ramayana is one of the most popular and major epics of the Hindu religion in India. It is a holy book that helps us to know the teachings of life. It is believed that it was written by a well-known sage in India, named Valmiki. This holy epic book is kept in houses. People like to read it daily as it teaches us a lot of lessons. Reading Ramayana is like worshipping God.
Ramayana Essay in English
Ramayana deals with the story of ancient times. The story is about the life and ruler of the honest King Rama or Ramachandra of Ayodhya. At some point in time, the royal dynasty of Ayodhya suffered from a crisis. King Dasharatha, the father of Lord Rama, wanted to offer the crown to his son, Rama before going to the forest.
King Dasharatha had 3 queens named Kaushalya, Kaikeyi, and Sumitra. The name of the mother of Lord Rama was Kaushalya. Kaikeyi was the mother of Bharat while Sumitra had 2 sons named Laxmana and Shatrughan. According to the hereditary rule, Lord Rama was to inherit the crown as he was the eldest of all his brothers and at the same time, he was the son of the eldest queen as well. When the people of Ayodhya listened to this news, they became very happy.
But Lord Rama could not be the kind. There was a convict when Lord Rama was sent to the forest on expatriate. This thing occurred because of the wickedness of an old maid-servant known as Manthara. She was full of evil persuasion. This is how she convinced Kaikeyi to ask the king to meet her boons, which he had promised earlier.
Essay on My Favourite Book Ramayana in English
One of the boons was that Lord Rama must be exiled and another one was that the son of Kaikeyi must inherit the throne. King Dasharatha was bound by his promise, he had to grant these 2 boons. This is why he sent Lord Rama to the forest for 14 years. when this thing happened, Bharat was away.
Once he returned to the kingdom, he was amazed to hear this expansion in the palace. He did not accept the offer of becoming the king. But, he ruled the kingdom as a faithful representative of the real king Rama. Bharat placed the sandals of Lord Rama on the throne. Even though he put in hard efforts to call back his brother, Rama to Ayodhya, his efforts were in vain.
Lord Rama went to the forest with Sita and Laxmana, the younger brother. Lord Rama was in the forest of Panchabati when Sita, his wife was forcibly carried off by Ravana, the demon king of Lanka. Lord Rama had to struggle with Ravana to save his wife from the clutches of Ravana. He became friends with the monkey tribes of Kishkin and they offered help to him in the war against Ravana.
With their help and support, Lord Rama succeeded in building a dam across the ocean and led his army to Lanka. In the end, Mata Sita was rescued from Lanka. The king demon Ravana was killed. In this struggle, Lord Hanuman had supported Lord Rama.
Lord Hanuman was the compatriot of Lord Rama. Lord Hanuman loved both the Mata Sita and Lord Rama from the core of his heart. At the same time, the brother of Ravana, Bibhishana was a dedicated friend of Rama.
Short Essay on Ramayana in English
Bibhishana warned his brother, Ravana, to send back Mata Sita to Lord Rama unless he could be devastated. But Ravana did not agree with his brother’s advice and got killed by Lord Rama. After the death of Ravana, his brother Bibhishana turned out to be the king of Lanka.
Mata Sita was an honest and pure-hearted lady. But there were several minor rumors against her chastity. Lord Rama was the noblest king of Ayodhya, but he put Mata Sita into an ordeal. Mata Sita entered the fire and came out with purity and un-burnt.
The time again came, when Sita Mata was asked to leave the Ayodhya kingdom. At that time, there was clandestine criticism. She was left in the forest. But, the sage Valmiki looked after her in the forest. In the forest, Mata Sita gave birth to two princes, Luv and Kush. They were twins. Once they grew up, the sage Valmiki trained them by giving them military training.
10 Lines on Ramayana in English
At the same time, Valmiki also put in hard efforts to reunite the twins of Mata Sita with their father, Lord Rama. Valmiki succeeded in teaching them the lines of the Ramayana. Throughout the Aswamedha Yajna, Luv and Kush accompanied Valmiki and there, they sang the lines of the Ramayana.
That was the time when Lord Rama came to know about his two twin sons. This made Mata Sita and Lord Rama re-united. Mata Sita was a tragic character in the holy book of the Hindu religion, Ramayana. She again suffered from a lot of criticism. Her bad luck made her put to another ordeal for one more time.
But this time, she was not able to handle this criticism and prayed the Goddess Earth to accept her. This is how she disappeared into the Earth forever after accepting this offer of Mata Sita by the Goddess Earth. The Earth split to disappear Mata Sita for always.
In the end, we can say that Ramayana is a poetic record of the history of our ancestors. It also teaches us how our ancestors live. By reading Ramayana, we also come to know about the teachings of many Gods and Goddesses. It gives us lessons to become loving, dutiful, and respectful towards others.
We should make a habit of reading Ramayana because it gives us valuable teachings or lessons, which we can use in our daily lives. Through the teachings of Ramayana, one can become a good and honest person. So, start reading this epic book of Ramayana. We can buy it from any local store or online.

My favourite book
Introduction: In the present age, books are indispensable. Dr. Vibasi categorized the books as under:
(i) Some books are to be read in haste and thrown.
(ii) Some books are to be read and digested.
(iii) Some books are to be read again and again, chewed well and kept in mind.
Ram Charita Manas: To me, the Ram Charita Manas is nearer to the last category of the books. It appeals to the mind, heart and soul of the reader. It has moulded my character, my way of life and given direction to my mind.
Ayodhya Kand: In Ram Charita Manas, it is the Ayodhya Kand that appeals to me the most. The following scenes in this Kand are so heart-touching that they can never be forgotten by me.
1. Bharata's Return: At the time, King Dasharatha left for heaven, Bharat and Shatrughana were at Kaikeya. They were sent for. When they reached Koshala, Bharata was stunned to see everybody mourning. The city was in darkness as no lamps were lit.
2. Meeting of Bharata and Mothers: In the palace, Bharata met, first with his mother Kaikeyi. He asked her about
his father's well-being. The hard-hearted mother informed Bharata about his father's death. Hearing about his father's death Bharata fainted and fell upon the ground. As he grew conscious, he lamented. Then he wished to go to Rama to kiss his lotus feet. At this, Kaikeyi informed him that Ram, Sita and Lakshamana had already gone to the forest. Bharata was stunned to listen it. He asked her about its reasons. Kaikeyi narrated to him about the two boons. Bharata could not bear such mean words of his mother.
Bharata went to Kausalya to get some relief. He fell at her feet and cursed himself. Kausalya felt as if Rama had returned from exile and stood before her. She raised him up and took him into her arms.
3. The Advice: The people of Ayodhya held a general meeting. Sage Vasistha advised Bharat to sit on the throne and rule. But Bharata declared that he would go to the jungle to bring Rama back to Ayodhya. The next day, Bharata, Shatrughana, the mothers, nobles, troops and the people of Ayodhya left for the forest. They reached the Ganga where Guha met them. He led them to Panchvati.
4. The Great Meeting: They reached Panchvati. Bharata prayed Rama to return and become the king of Ayodhya. Rama explained to him the duties of the sons towards their parents. He advised him to rule over Ayodhya as his regent for fourteen years. Bharata had to agree to it with a heavy heart. He put the sandals of Rama upon his head and prostrated at his feet.
5. Return: Now it was the time to return to Ayodhya, Panchvati and the whole of the forest was left calm and quiet again.
Conclusion: Ram Charita Manas teaches us so many lessons of great value. It presents the true philosophy of life. It tells us how we should live in the world, conforming with the noble ideas of life. Every character teaches us some great lesson or the other. The character of King Dasharatha teaches us to keep our word as he did at the cost of his life. The character of Rama teaches us to be noble, virtuous and true to our word. The character of Sita teaches us the lesson of chastity. The characters of Bharata, Lakshamana and Hanumana teach us the lessons of loyalty, self-sacrifice and service of humanity. The character of Ravana warns us against being arrogant.

My Favorite Book ||Essay Describe in English
Describe in english my favorite book essay.
My Favorite Books: My Favorite Books are our best friends. They console us in our grief and make us forget the worries of life. Books attract me very much, and I like to read them as quickly as possible. My father knows my love for books, and he bought me some books from the last ‘Kolkata Book Fair’. I have read those books, and one of them has impressed me the most.
The book is an abridged edition of the Ramayana, originally written by the great sage Valmiki. This is a book that is liked by everybody—the young and the old, the rich and the poor. It is true that the more one reads it, the more interested one feels in it.
Essay My Favorite Books : The Ramayana is one of the great epics of the world. The book is full of many wise things. It shows us how to obey the elders, as Ram did. King Dasharath’s eldest son, Ram, went into exile because his father promised to do so to one of his wives, Kaikeyee. Ram also decided to follow his father’s promise by agreeing to live in the forest, leaving everything behind. His sense of duty, his truthfulness, his tolerance, etc. prove his greatness. His activities teach us how to treat others and how to face life.
Another great character is Sita, who at once resolved to follow her husband, Ram, to the forest. She made herself ready to accompany her husband, as she thought it was the duty of a true wife. She liked the company of her husband even in the forest better than the comforts and pleasures of the royal palace.
Essay My Favorite Book in English
The book Ramayana also reveals what real brotherly devotion is. Ram is the younger brother of Lakshman, though their mothers are different. Lakshman had deep respect for his elder brother, Ram. So, when he heard that Ram was going away, he immediately got himself ready to follow his elder brother. Everybody tried to dissuade him, but in vain. Again, Ram’s brother, though not of the same mother, did not feel happy when he heard that Ram had gone to the forest. He did not hesitate to blame his mother for doing such a shameful act. He went to the forest to meet Ram and requested him to return to their kingdom. but did not agree to go against his father’s commitment.
Then Bharat begged for Ram’s wooden sandals, and after returning to the palace , he placed the sandals on the throne and ruled as a viceroy for his elder brother.
My Favorite Books : The book is really a noble one and teaches us many things about the man and his life. One is never tired of reading it. The tragic life of Sita, the greatness of Ram, the devotion of Lakshman, and the nobility of Bharat lead us to know what is right and what is wrong. We can never forget the mighty, faithful Hanuman and other monkeys; the cruelty of Ravan; the valour of Meghnad and others; and the intelligence of Bibhishana. When we read about Sita’s ordeals in the Ashok forest, we can’t help but cry.
Thus, the book is a great one and very interesting. I think that everyone should read this book to make their thoughts perfect and pure.

- Essay on My Favourite Book
My Favourite Book
Books are friends who will never abandon you. This saying rings true for me because books have always been there for me. I like to read books. They have the ability to transport us through worlds without requiring us to leave our current location. Books have the power to transport people all over the world without them having to leave their homes. My parents and teachers always encouraged me to read when I was younger. Harry Potter, on the other hand, will always be my favourite book.
J.K. Rowling, one of our generation's most eminent writers, wrote the Harry Potter series. These books depict the wizarding world and its operations. J.K. Rowling has done such a good job of painting a picture of this world that it feels real. Despite the fact that the series consists of seven books, I have a personal favourite. When I first started reading the book, it immediately piqued my interest. Despite having read all of the previous parts, none of the books piqued my interest as much as this one did.
The introduction of the other wizard schools is one of the things about this book that most excites me. The Triwizard Tournament concept is one of the most brilliant ideas I've seen in the Harry Potter series. In addition, some of my favourite characters appear in this book. Rowling's description of that character's aura and personality is simply brilliant. Furthermore, it made me a bigger fan of the series.Despite the fact that the books are set in the world of wizards and magic, the Harry Potter series contains many lessons for young people to learn.
For starters, it teaches us the value of friendship. I've read a lot of books, but I've never come across a friendship like Harry, Hermoine, and Ron's. Throughout the books, these three musketeers stayed together and never gave up. It taught me the importance of having a good friend.Furthermore, the Harry Potter series taught me that no one is perfect. Everyone carries both good and evil within them. This aided me in making better decisions and becoming a better person. We see how even the most flawed characters, such as Snape, had goodness within them. Similarly, even the nicest characters, such as Dumbledore, had flaws. This altered my attitude toward people and made me more considerate.
Finally, these books provided me with hope. They taught me what hope is and that there is light at the end of the tunnel. It gave me the courage to hold on to hope even in the darkest of times, just as Harry had done his entire life. These are some of the most important lessons I took away from Harry Potter. In conclusion, while many films have been made based on the books. Nothing beats the essence and uniqueness of the books. The details and inclusiveness of books cannot be replaced by any other form of media. As a result, The Goblet of Fire is still my favourite book.
