Disappointing

After a number of emails and request to reconsider my rating, I am very said to say that the experience continues to worsen. I did get a response from your admissions department and they emailed me all the details in regards to the course, the issue I have been having is every time I ask about the Advanced Learner Load, it is ignored and I am directed to your payment options. After asking again for the ‘Learning and funding information’ letter that is needed to apply online for the funding for this course, I was told that funding for online courses has been put on hold as of the 15th Oct. When I questioned who has put it on hold I was told that all institutes who offer online courses and it is from the funding company themselves and not your school. After calling them this morning they have confirmed that no such hold has been issued by themselves and as long as I have proof from your school that: 1) I can enrol on the course 2) the cost of the course I can apply for the Advanced Learner Loan. This has been once bad experience after another and it seems that no matter how hard I try to want to study with your school, there is either no one who knows how to or want to help. Such a shame, maybe you should think about removing the website page from your website where you very proudly advertise that you accept the Advanced Learner Load... And that you have 560 Loans approved so far. At this critical time where many people need to re-train due to job losses and Covid, you would think that an organisation like yourselves would want to assist unemployed to gain qualifications that will help not only give them the ability to find a job but help in the long term with the economy of the country.

Comments from Oversea student

Before enroll the lvl 7 course, i got supports from Tracy(Online Chat), Arun (whatsapp) and Maggi (Enrollment Admin), suggests to direct email to request more info as very details on end to end process about course and payment. After enrollment, i got the LMS (learning system) access and assignment brief within 2days. it is a bit unexpected as there is no video or lecturer's slide provided for learners, which mean learners can self-study the course with a lot of text books only. Hope they can produce a video/ppt slide for easy study/download ; and support the learners to create a peer-learning communication group (eg.whatsapp or tg) in the coming. Ps. Since I am overseas student, it is not easy to find UK text books( in my country and online). You may expected to take time for purchase the textbook via UK online book store only. And facing very slow network to access LMS, use VPN is a solution. Overall experience is good, thanks LSBR.

Very Helpful Online Chat Assistant

I was helped directly by the online chat assistant while making enquiries into the Level 8 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership. I was unsure about my eligibility for the course. After a few minutes of chatting with the online assistant and providing qualifications and my CV, I was presented with a clear pathway to enrol. Shocking LMS, poor grammar and they're using past (illiterate) students' submissions as actual study material. No progression guidance, just a bunch of links.

Dear Nicholas Bursey, Thank you for your email and it is really sad to hear that you wish to withdraw. You enrolled with us in the "3rd Week of June, 2022" which is about 5 months ago and have been studying the course since then. The cooling off period is 14 days from your date of enrolment which expired on the 5th July, 2022. Is there anything that I can do for you to reconsider your decision? There are following options that you may consider: - Perhaps if you want an extension of your course duration, the same can be considered. - If you wish to have a one-to-one session with a Professor, the same can also be organised for you to clarify doubts that you might have. - If you wish to have an extension of your Assignments submission date, we can consider that as well. Once you have accessed the LMS system, the license is deemed to have been consumed. As I see from the logs that you have downloaded the entire Library, Study Material, study links, accessed Videos & presentations, Assignment Brief documents etc. Since the LMS contains all the study materials which are downloadable cancelling the course at this stage is not possible. It is apt, that since 5 months have elapsed in your course duration, you may submit your assignments and finish off your course and get qualified asap. As a goodwill gesture, I have requested the academic team to increase your course duration by another 2 months to facilitate assignments submission by you. I can also see from the logs that the academic department had shared with you Webinar Invites and I am sure you had attended and participated in few of them. Let me know if you wish to consider an extension of your assignments submission dates or if you wish to switch to a different course. I'll do the needful. Needless to say that we do not want to loose you as our esteemed learner and would go an extra mile to assist you in every possible way.
