Every person has an aim or purpose to live. Without aim, we should not achieve anything. When we have set our goals, we put in our hard efforts and stay dedicated to achieving our dreams and goals. This is why I have decided to be a doctor.

My ambition to be a doctor has got motivated by my aunt, who is also a doctor and serves the community with hard work, dedication, and knowledge. The reason why I choose this career option is that I have an excellent memory and problem-solving skills. I am also good at science and biology is my favorite subject.

I understand the need for medical experts in my country. This is why I have selected this profession to pursue. I like and appreciate the medical profession. Through this profession, it is meant to serve humanity, help the needy, and love humanity. It is all equal to serving God when we treat or serve people with love and care.

I believe that it is my responsibility to serve and support my motherland in any way I can. This is how and why I have chosen to enter this field. I also understand the eligibility criteria to enter this field and I met the eligibility conditions.

Why doctors are important?

If one’s aim is to become a doctor, he or she can only achieve it, if he or she understands their roles and responsibilities. Today, people have all the luxuries and comforts of life. But what if they are unable to enjoy them because of their poor health . This is why it is important to have a healthy and active body while keeping yourself healthy mentally and physically. But due to today’s lifestyle, people are dealing with different health issues.

We need to cure different health problems at an early stage so that we can restore our health. And it is only a doctor, who can help us with our health issues. A doctor is a person who can cure ailing and distress with great devotion, love, and care.

Most importantly, doctors are a savior and gods to millions. There are different health issues when we are in a need to visit a doctor like cold, fever, cough, depression, flu, and many others. There is a long list of health issues we may have to treat with the support of doctors.

This is why doctors are important entities in our society and I am completely passionate about helping and serving people with any kind of disease. I actually want to help others. So, I have made becoming a doctor my aim.

Doctors also give hope to people who are helpless or suffering from any kind of disease. Doctors can give those people a reality check and help them to get rid of their health issues.

What would I do if I achieve my aim to become a doctor? It would be good to prioritize and arrange everything in the future. Once I become a doctor, I want to serve people in villages. There are many villages in the surroundings of my city. I would want to arrange free health camps for poor people where I would provide affordable treatments.

The treatment would be free for needy individuals. I will never squeeze anyone. I would very vigilant with health checkups, tests, and treatments I would provide to my villages . I would also want to develop a big hospital in one of the villages in my city. In this hospital, I would want to provide all kinds of treatments for different diseases.

So, I think that it is for the betterment of life that I choose this career option. Some people do not think about their careers, even don’t plan them at the right time. This is why their lives may become a plane without a pilot. It all becomes true when a person does not have ambition. Having an aim in life seems to have a strong will and desire to achieve something big in life. In order to achieve something, it is important to put in hard efforts and keep motivated.

The life of a doctor is both satisfying and admirable. Entering this profession means that you are going to enter the most-respected profession in society. I would want to achieve my dreams with my dedication, motivation, and knowledge.

My Ambition to Become a Doctor Essay in English

Nowadays, I am currently pursuing my senior secondary classes and I am very good at biology. When I will enter college, I take biology as my main subject. Of course, I am well aware of the difficulties and complexities of this profession. I also know that it will be a big journey and experience. But I am actually sure about myself that I will definitely reach my goal.

If it weren’t for engineers, our world would not have so many inventions. There are several types of engineers, such as mechanical, electrical, civil and aviation. I am fascinated with the working of machinery. So I want to become a mechanical engineer and invent machines to make life simpler.

My life ambition is to become a police officer. The profession of police is brave and interesting. Police officers maintain law and order in our society. They save us from thieves and other criminals. Our society has different types of people, some good and some bad. The bad try to harm the good people physically or by cheating them. Police ensure the bad people are caught and put in prison. They ensure peace and safety in society. When I grow up and become a police officer, I want to catch criminals and make society a safe place for everyone.

Every kid dreams of becoming someone important and successful when they grow up. I too want to be someone important when I grow up. I also want to serve my country and make India the best country to live in. Therefore, I want to become an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. An IAS officer makes sure the country is functioning properly. They are the people who ensure the government projects, plans and schemes are executed properly. They also ensure the government funds are utilised honestly for the welfare of their fellow citizens. So as an IAS officer, I will make my county proud of my work.

Most kids want to become doctors or engineers when they grow up. But, I dream of becoming a lawyer when I grow up. A lawyer is a professional who helps people fight their judicial battles and win them. In our society, there are many kinds of people. Some people take advantage of others and wrongly cheat them of their property, money or rights. To punish such bad people, the people who are harmed file suits in court against them. Lawyers fight their court cases and ensure they get justice. As a lawyer, I will help the police send criminals to jail, and ensure that good people get justice.

Ever since I was a baby, I have been fascinated with nurses. Every time I visited the hospital with my parents for check-ups, the lovely nurses there pampered me a lot. Their smiling faces and caring attitude always impressed me. They are very helpful and caring. More than doctors, the nurses take care of the patients, and they are the ones who give medicines and injections and look after patients day and night. Therefore, it’s my dream to become a nurse when I grow up. As a nurse, I want to treat and care for people in their sicknesses and see them getting better.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

That is a question I came to hate as I grew up and started school. All my parent’s friends, any time we would or they would visit, would ask me that question. As a young child, I would make something up and say stupid things like I want to be a professional football player.

Or I would say that I wanted to be a circus performer . I got a kick out of their reactions when they heard those answers. The responses may not have been serious but eventually, it got my parents’ friends to quit asking me what I wanted to be when I grew up.

Then I hit my teen years and I started to see the serious nature behind that question and that realization got me thinking. What was I going to do with my life? I do not care for sports that much so being a professional athlete was out and I hate the circus so that career was off my list.

As I thought I explored my strengths and saw that I genuinely cared about people and I could stand the sight of blood. Then it hit me, I could be a doctor. My grades have always been good and people told me that I was very smart and both qualities were needed to become a doctor.

So I set my sights on being a doctor for the rest of my life. As I study I keep that one goal in mind. It is hard work but one day I will be able to enter medical school and learn how to be a doctor.

What I like about being a medical professional is not the money that is involved. The big money does not come to many doctors until they have become quite specialized and famous. There are lots of doctors that make very little money and seem quite content.

What really appeals to me is the positive contribution doctors make in society. They have the knowledge and talent to make a real difference in someone’s life. Plus, they can go to just about any country and practice their craft.

There always seems to be a need for doctors no matter where you go. That is a very attractive feeling to have. Being needed makes a person feel really good about themselves. Especially since there are so many specialties one can choose to work in.

Don’t get me wrong, I have not looked at this profession with rose-colored glasses on. I know that there is a negative side that takes its toll on doctors. Patients do not always get well, their family members get angry and treatments do not always go as planned and doctors get sued.

Those negatives aspects just motivate me to be the best doctor I can be and learn everything I can so I can avoid such situations if possible. My aim to be a doctor is quite legitimate and strong.

That is because I also see that profession as very rewarding. Not financially, although that does help some, but in the aspect that I can make a difference no matter where I practice medicine. If I focus and concentrate on helping my patients and they get better, then I have done my job.

The look on my patients’ faces when I give them the good news is more than enough inspiration and reward. Words cannot express such a feeling when you have helped someone and they are genuinely grateful.

All of these elements make my aim to be a doctor a legitimate goal and helps keep me honest. An honest doctor is the best one to have to look after you as you never get lied to and people can have confidence in him.

That is another reason for my aim to be a doctor. I like the idea that people can have confidence in me.
