Apple Vision Pro : ce qu’en disent les premières personnes qui l’ont testé

Les journalistes de la presse spécialisée américaine viennent de publier leurs premières impressions lors de tests d’usage plus approfondis du Vision Pro d’Apple. Voici ce qu’ils pensent du casque de réalité mixte.

Aux États-Unis, les tout premiers tests réalisés par la presse spécialisée de l' Apple Vision Pro viennent d'être publiés. Est-ce que le casque de réalité mixte, qui ne sortira officiellement qu'en fin de semaine, est aussi impressionnant que ce que laissaient supposer les premières impressions et les technologies intégrées ? En tout cas, une chose est certaine, Apple Apple ne lance jamais un nouveau produit sans être absolument certain qu'il réponde parfaitement aux attentes de ses clients.

Au-delà de l'intégration parfaite avec l' écosystème écosystème Apple, au niveau immersif , c'est à l'unanimité que les testeurs s'accordent à dire que les sensations sont pratiquement magiques. L'affichage en 3D apparaît comme bluffant pour ce qui est des vidéos, et l'utilisation en bureautique ouvre l'espace de travail virtuel de façon inédite. De même, le passage du mode virtuel au mode transparence transparence est très réussi et l'on peut basculer de l'un à l'autre de façon naturelle.

Trop en avance sur son temps

Tous affirment que l'écran micro- Oled Oled bat à plate couture ce qui se fait de mieux en matière matière d'affichage dans un casque, et les mouvements mouvements sont d'une fluidité presque parfaite, mais perfectible. Pour le moment, les seules critiques s'attardent sur l'absence d' applications applications phares, comme Netflix Netflix , par exemple. L'utilisation donne donc une impression d'inachevé étant donné l'absence de contenus optimisés pour le Vision Pro. La « sauce » de l'«  informatique spatiale  » envisagée par Apple pour 2025 avec ce casque mettra sans doute plus de temps à prendre qu'imaginé. Si c'est sans doute le meilleur modèle de réalité mixte, peut-être que comme certains produits Apple à l'instar des premiers iMac, le casque a un peu trop d'avance sur son temps. Et puis, il y a son tarif de 3 500 dollars qui, sauf par rapport aux Hololens de Google Google , reste très au-delà de la concurrence.

Selon les sources d'un journaliste spécialisé dans les informations liées à Apple, la marque serait déjà en train de plancher plancher sur une version moins onéreuse de son masque Vision Pro. Ce nouveau modèle, prévu pour démocratiser ce qu'Apple nomme « l'informatique spatiale », pourrait arriver en 2025.

Depuis la présentation du fameux masque Vision Pro, lors de la conférence annuelle annuelle des développeurs chez Apple la semaine dernière, les premiers retours sur l'arrivée de ce nouveau produit se multiplient. Le masque impressionne de façon unanime ses premiers testeurs, mais ce n'est pas pour autant qu'il est parfait, et rien ne prédit qu'il sera adopté par le public. Surtout en raison de son prix de près de 3 500 dollars qui le réserve à un public de professionnels, tout comme les HoloLens de Microsoft Microsoft , ou les Google Glass qui ont d'ailleurs été mises au rebut il y a quelques mois.

Ce masque, qui est censé ouvrir la voie à une révolution, celle de « l'informatique spatiale » selon Apple, pourrait bien débarquer dans une version plus accessible. Selon le journaliste Mark Gurman , de Bloomberg , qui est à l'affût de la moindre fuite chez Apple, la marque serait déjà en train de développer un modèle moins onéreux pour démocratiser le produit. Un changement de stratégie alors que, chez Apple, les versions pros, c'est-à-dire les produits les plus haut de gamme, arrivent les dernières.

Une version grand public en 2025 ?

Toujours selon Gurman, l'extension Pro est justement présente pour indiquer qu'une autre version plus grand public sera proposée. Pour lui, le masque pourrait se retrouver dénué d' écouteurs et il faudra utiliser des AirPods pour bénéficier du son. La définition des écrans pourrait également être inférieure, ce qui paraît étonnant, puisque c'est justement sur ce point que le masque se démarque de la concurrence.

Malgré cette version plus « light », il reste loin d'être certain que la réduction du prix soit suffisante pour obtenir une adhésion massive du public. Enfin, l'analyse explique que ce masque devrait arriver fin 2025 et qu'il pourrait porter le nom d'Apple Vision, ou d'Apple Vision One, selon lui. Ceci dit, le même analyste, qui avait indiqué que le Vision Pro s'appellerait Reality Pro s'était trompé... Reste à savoir s'il y a une part de vérité dans ce qu'il affirme.

Il s'appellera finalement Vision Pro et c'est la star de la conférence WWDC d'Apple. Présenté hier soir, ce masque, qui semble issu des accessoires pour sports d' hiver hiver , s'apparente à une véritable révolution pour la marque. Il vient éclipser des annonces attendues autour des IA.

Alors que l'on ne parle que de la révolution des IA, Apple passe finalement son tour sur le sujet, mais en promet une autre : celle de « l'informatique spatiale ». Ce lundi soir, Apple a mis fin au suspens en présentant son fameux et tant attendu  masque de réalité mixte . Il porte porte finalement le nom de Vision Pro et ressemble à un masque de ski.

Lors de sa présentation, Tim Cook Tim Cook , le patron d'Apple a souligné que son arrivée «  marque le début d'une nouvelle ère pour l'informatique » en ajoutant que « tout comme le Mac nous a fait découvrir l'informatique personnelle et l'iPhone l'informatique mobile mobile , Apple Vision Pro nous fait découvrir l'informatique spatiale  ». Rien que ça ! En évoquant « l'ordinateur spatial », la marque évite surtout de parler de réalité augmentée ou virtuelle .

Sur ce dernier point, on ne peut pas vraiment parler de réalité virtuelle réalité virtuelle et ceux qui s'attendaient à un produit capable de réveiller le concept moribond des métavers  risquent d'être déçus, puisque le masque ne propose que de la réalité augmentée. Il n'y a pas de manettes pour réaliser les actions, mais le casque se pilote avec les yeux yeux , les mains et la voix. De l'extérieur, on peut voir les yeux de l'utilisateur. On a donc l'impression que le verre est transparent. En réalité, ce n'est pas le cas, et le Vision Pro reprend le principe des autres modèles du marché avec des caméras passthrough , c'est-à-dire l'équivalent de la fonction « caméra réelle » du Meta Quest . Elles permettent d'afficher les éléments virtuels sur les images du monde réel. Alors, évidemment, quand Apple se lance dans une telle aventure, le produit est parfaitement pensé que ce soit au niveau du design, de l'ergonomie et des usages.

Ainsi, des minicaméras suivent le regard à l'intérieur pour ajuster l'affichage sur les deux écrans ultra HD ultra HD (23 millions de pixels pixels répartis sur les écrans). À l'extérieur, d'autres caméras en bas de l'écran viennent capter les mouvements des mains en permanence. Pour animer l'ensemble, la puissante puce M2 que l'on trouve sur les MacBook est à la manœuvre. Mais Apple a également ajouté une toute nouvelle puce baptisée R1 qui fait office de chef d'orchestre. C'est elle qui gère les données des 12 caméras, des cinq capteurs capteurs et des six micros, afin de créer l'illusion des affichages en temps réel. Il est possible de le brancher sur le secteur, ou bien de l'utiliser sur batterie avec une autonomie autonomie de deux heures. Sur ce dernier point, ce bloc batterie qui pend au bout de son câble est sans doute le seul gros point négatif que l'on peut reprocher au Vision Pro.

L’ère de l’informatique spatiale selon Apple

Côté interface, le système d'exploitation système d'exploitation VisionOS affiche l'équivalent de l'écran d'accueil de l’iPhone , intégré dans l'espace réel. Pour ouvrir une application, il faut la pincer des doigts. Les icônes icônes des applications interagissent dès qu'on les fixe du regard. Devant les yeux, l'utilisateur peut afficher des écrans virtuels géants. Une fonction baptisée « Environnement » affiche un cadre immersif autour d'une application. Le réglage de la taille de l'écran virtuel peut être effectué à partir d'une petite molette sur le casque. Apple explique également que n'importe quel espace peut se transformer en l'équivalent d'une salle de cinéma avec l'impression de regarder un écran de 30 mètres de large équipé d'un système audio spatialisé.

Pour les contenus, la marque évoque l'arrivée d'Apple Immersive Video, avec des vidéos haute définition à 180° et éventuellement en 3D. Pour ce qui est des visio en  FaceTime , le masque va modéliser en 3D le visage de l'utilisateur en guise d' avatar avatar . Reste le tarif du Vision Pro. Il se destine plus particulièrement aux professionnels comme son nom le suggère, avec un prix fixé à 3 500 dollars. Il sortira début 2024 aux États-Unis dans un premier temps. Outre la bureautique, les usages ludiques sont également présents, ce qui laisse penser que le masque pourrait être décliné pour le grand public dans le futur, si son adoption se passe bien. Pour ce qui est du reste des annonces, motus sur le développement des IA « maison ». En revanche, la marque a présenté ses mises à jour de produits et notamment iOS iOS 17, de nouveaux Macbook Air 15, des Mac Pro, MacOS Sonoma, watchOS 10 et une puce M2 Ultra.

Apple va-t-il encore bouder longtemps les IA ?

Lundi 5 juin, Apple ouvre les portes de son événement annuel, le WWDC, c'est-à-dire sa conférence annuelle pour les développeurs. Au programme, on trouvera vraisemblablement le fameux casque de réalité mixte connu sous le nom de Reality Pro . Mais des indices montrent qu'Apple pourrait bien se jeter comme les autres dans le grand bain des IA génératives. Explications.

Du 5 au 9 juin c'est le WWDC, la conférence mondiale des développeurs d’Apple . La première journée de cet événement est l'occasion pour la marque de présenter son plan de route et aussi ses nouveaux produits. Parmi eux, on parle beaucoup d'un casque mixant la réalité virtuelle et augmentée qui pourrait s'appeler Reality Pro . Il devrait redonner un coup de tonus à l' univers univers des metaverses plutôt moribond, n'en déplaise à Meta. Il faut dire qu'Apple n'a pas pour habitude de lancer un nouveau produit sans être absolument sûr de son coup. Signe d'une certaine fébrilité, Meta vient justement d'annoncer l'arrivée de son nouveau casque Meta Quest 3 . Il est plus fin et plus performant que son prédécesseur. Mais chez Apple, outre cette annonce autour de ce fameux casque et de nouvelles moutures de ses iPhone, iPad iPad , Apple Watch et Mac ou encore iOS 17, c'est du côté des IA que l'on attend quelque chose. Quelque chose qui pourrait bien être d'ailleurs lié au casque en question.

Alors que Google a dû mettre les bouchées doubles face à l'offensive de Microsoft avec Bing AI avec le soutien d'OpenAI, Apple reste très discret sur le sujet des intelligences artificielles intelligences artificielles (IA). C'est un comportement étonnant de la part d'un des principaux géants de la tech, alors que tous les autres se ruent sur la révolution des IA génératives pour ne pas manquer le coche. Ce n'est pas pour autant qu'Apple se détourne du sujet car certains signaux sont apparus ces derniers temps. Pour le percevoir, c'est comme bien souvent du côté des annonces de recrutement qu'il faut regarder.

Le retour d’un Siri dopé à l’IA

La firme cherche à recruter des ingénieurs spécialisés en technologies d'apprentissage automatique et ayant des compétences autour des IA conversationnelles IA conversationnelles et génératives. Des postes qui seraient d'ailleurs intimement liés à la réalité mixte propre au fameux casque Reality Pro selon ces annonces. De plus, selon le journaliste Mark Gurman de Bloomberg, il y aurait déjà eu un sommet interne propre aux IA dès le mois de février. Un signe qui montre que malgré un calme apparent, Apple ne compte pas passer à côté de cette révolution engendrée par l'arrivée de ChatGPT ChatGPT . Mais comme à son habitude, la firme prend son temps et semble rester impassible face à la montée de ces IA génératives qui font trembler Google en premier lieu.

Une fausse impression de calme sans doute, puisqu'il existe des sujets qui fâchent chez Apple. C'est notamment le cas de l' assistant vocal assistant vocal Siri. Il est clairement très en deçà de son concurrent chez Google et cela se sait en interne. Alors une grosse dose d'IA lui permettrait certainement de se rebooster, mais on ne peut pas vraiment s'attendre à ce qu'Apple sorte un chatbot chatbot génératif équivalent à ChatGPT . Alors que Google qui s'est énormément investi dans les IA depuis de nombreuses années et a bien du mal à proposer un modèle convaincant avec un Bard au comportement discutable, que la marque à la pomme se lance dans une aventure comme celle-ci de façon improvisée semble assez improbable. Il se dit que la firme développerait en secret depuis des mois ses propres modèles linguistiques. Ce nouveau Siri dopé à l'IA pourrait avantageusement être intégré au casque que devrait présenter Apple lundi prochain. Et c'est bien ce qui pourrait faire la différence avec son concurrent Meta, si, toutefois, cette IA tient la route.

Apple a présenté lundi son premier casque de réalité "mixte" (virtuelle et augmentée), baptisé "Vision Pro", un terrain où le fabricant de l'iPhone était attendu depuis des années, actuellement dominé par son voisin Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Quest).

"Mélanger les contenus numériques avec le monde réel va permettre de créer de nouvelles expériences, comme nous n'en avons jamais vues", a lancé Tim Cook, le patron d'Apple, avant de dévoiler ce "nouveau produit révolutionnaire", avec l'emphase habituelle du géant américain des technologies.

Il n'a pas immédiatement révélé le prix du nouvel appareil. Avant la présentation officielle, plusieurs experts l'ont estimé aux alentours de 3.000 dollars.

Le nouveau casque - qui n'est pas sans-fil, contrairement aux récents modèles de Quest (Meta) ou Vive (HTC) - a été lancé lors du WWDC, la conférence annuelle d'Apple pour les développeurs.

Les utilisateurs pourront aller dans des univers parallèles (paysages méditatifs, vidéos personnelles, jeux vidéo, visioconférences...) et choisir le degré d'immersion, grâce à un bouton qui permet d'ajuster l'écran de la réalité augmentée (surimposition des éléments virtuels sur la réalité) à la réalité virtuelle (immersion complète).

"Vision Pro est un nouveau type d'ordinateur qui augmente la réalité en mélangeant de façon fluide le réel et le numérique", a résumé Tim Cook.

"Apple espérait sortir un produit plus proche d'une paire de lunettes que d'un casque de jeux vidéo", a récemment commenté Yory Wurmser, analyste d'Insider Intelligence.

"Mais il semble qu'ils vont dévoiler quelque chose de plus gros (et certainement plus cher), parce qu'ils veulent que des passionnés et des ingénieurs s'en servent et commencent à construire un écosystème d'applications dédiées", avant de concevoir des appareils plus légers et moins chers pour le grand public, selon lui.

La réalité virtuelle est actuellement dominée par Meta - les casques de sa marque Quest représentaient plus de 80% du marché fin 2022, selon le cabinet Counterpoint.

Jeudi, le patron du groupe, Mark Zuckerberg, a lancé un nouvel appareil, le Quest 3, le "premier casque grand public avec réalité mixte en couleur haute résolution", qui sera commercialisé à partir de 500 dollars aux Etats-Unis à l'automne.

Fin 2021, Facebook est devenu Meta dans l'idée de devenir une entreprise du métavers, décrit par Mark Zuckerberg comme l'avenir d'internet, après le web et le mobile.

Mais les efforts du géant des réseaux sociaux n'ont pour l'instant pas débouché sur une adoption notable par le grand public.

Apple Vision Pro Restrictions Stifle Apps, Some Developers Say

Apple needs developers to help make its headset a success, but some of them say locking down access to its cameras due to privacy limits what’s possible with the device..

When Apple began developing its Vision Pro headset years ago, the project’s leaders believed its future fortunes hinged on the creativity of app developers outside Apple, just as the iPhone’s success had, said former employees who worked on the project. Increasingly, though, those developers are expressing frustration with the restrictions Apple is imposing on what Vision Pro technologies they can use in their apps.

Unlike on the iPhone, Apple doesn’t let Vision Pro developers access the headset’s cameras and sensors—which can identify or map objects and surroundings in a room—due to concerns that unscrupulous developers might use them to violate the privacy of users, former Apple employees said. For Kalani Helekunihi, an augmented reality developer who builds apps for older adults and people with disabilities, that means he can’t create a Vision Pro app that uses the headset’s camera to automatically log users in by scanning a QR code. Nor can he pursue a desire to make a Vision Pro app that would give people with limited vision a description of their surroundings and act as a virtual cane that warns them when they’re approaching obstacles.

While Helekunihi bought a Vision Pro in February for software development, he still hasn’t started working on an app for the device because most of his ideas aren’t feasible given Apple’s restrictions (Apple’s camera and sensor restrictions don’t apply to its own apps). “So many things that we’ve become accustomed to doing with a cellphone simply [aren’t] possible within XR devices because of nebulous privacy fears,” he said.

Although we have all heard of Powerpoint as a powerful tool for presentations, I believe that after using the Apple keynote, I have also learned that it can be used to create impressive and engaging presentations.

In this story I’m going to show you how we can create and Deliver a Killer Keynote Presentation using Keynote

Set it up correctly :

Start Keynote, then choose a Theme . Choosing an appropriate theme can save you time and effort in redefining styles, backgrounds, and image formatting.

Planning your content :

The Slide is the core component of Keynote, so it’s best to view your interactive piece as a series of small, slide-sized chunks. If you want to tell an interactive narrative, you’ll want to write it one slide at a time in words, images, video, or short animations.

Create your content :

The first page will be a title slide , so write a good welcome text ,Also use simplify charts and graphs to present your data,Always try to put points in further interactive way so that viewer can understand and grasp the slides veritably and fluently. it'll also helps to make the bystander always stick with the slide.

Short animations :

  • On the slide, click to select the object you want to animate.
  • In the Animate sidebar, click the Animate tab.
  • Click Add an Effect, then select an animation.
  • To set animation options such as the duration and direction of the animation, use the controls that appear.(Start Transition,Delay)

A Good Animation can help make a PowerPoint presentation more dynamic, and help make information more memorable. The most common types of animation effects include entrances and exits. You can also add sound to increase the intensity of your animation effects.

Presentation experts recommend using animations and sound effects sparingly. Animation can be useful in making a presentation more dynamic, and help to emphasize points, but too much animation can be distracting. Do not let animation and sound take the focus away from what you are saying.

Present it! :

Go ahead — press Play and test out your presentation. Everything should work as you’d expect, and you can press Escape to exit. Save your Presentation to iCloud, then open it on your iPad, and everything will work just the same there.

You have some great tips. I also appreciate the paragraph about using sounds and animations sparingly. It never fails when I introduce Keynote to students, that their first presentation has sounds and animations for everything. Thank you for sharing, Keynote is one of my favorite apps.

Another great tips would be to use purposeful animation. If your an explaining how gravity work, using the anvil composition to have an object (or even the word GRAVITY) fall for the sky and land in a smoke dust deliver a message out the topic. And you are right to use is sparingly, use it to gain focus, to surprise you listener.

How to Design a Presentation like Apple

Emily Stewart recently brought my attention to a short animated video that she and her team produced for OnlineMBA  that illustrates some of the key values that Steve Jobs and his team espoused when designing products for Apple.

The video is clever and is similar in style to the popular animated videos by RSA Animate . It is a creative way in which to enhance a presentation with images.

As I watched the video, it occurred to me that many of the principles that Jobs and his colleagues at Apple have embraced when designing their products hold true for a well-designed presentation.

“The quality has to be carried all the way through. … High quality design is all-encompassing.”

A good presentation, like an advertisement from Apple, has a clear message, a strong opening, compelling content, an appropriate balance between logic and emotion, good supporting material and a strong conclusion. And it all fits together tightly. Remove even one of these elements and you will end up with weaker product.

“[You] must truly understand what the product is, how it works and how it will benefit customers or society …”

For every presentation that you give, you must be able to answer these two questions: (a) What is my key message? (b) Why should the audience care? The answers must be absolutely clear if you hope to deliver a presentation that is in any way meaningful for your audience.

“Good design is produced by people who are motivated by failures and optimistic about change.”

Not every presentation goes as planned. Do you learn from such experiences? Do you seek feedback and act on the feedback that you receive? If you present frequently on the same subject, do you regularly update and refine your presentation? Are you always looking for ways in which to improve?

“One of Steve Jobs ‘ most well-known mantras was ‘Focus and Simplicity’. … It’s harder to design something that is simply beautiful than it is to just stuff a product that is full of bells and whistles.”

So many presentations fall short of the mark because the presenter tries to cover too many points and crams every slide with too much text. A good presenter is like a sculptor; she works to remove everything that is unnecessary and extraneous to the key message. A good presenter focuses with laser-like intensity on her key message. Everything in the presentation supports the key message in some way. A good presenter keeps things simple. Simple is good. It is memorable and it works.

“Product design isn’t meant to stick out like a sore thumb, but rather seamlessly integrate with a high quality product that people come to recognize as an extension of themselves.”

If a presentation is well planned, well structured and well delivered, people might remember certain parts of it; however, and more importantly, they will remember the key message and why it is important for them. And they will act on it.

Chip giant Intel on Tuesday unveiled its latest chip dedicated to artificial intelligence processing, "Gaudi 3," hot on the heels of arch-rival Nvidia unveiling its Blackwell GPU two weeks prior. 

Unveiled onstage by CEO Pat Gelsinger, during a live-streamed keynote at the company's customer and partner conference, Intel Vision 2024 , in Phoenix, Arizona, the focus was placed on Gaudi 3's appeal to enterprises, with an emphasis on goals such as automating enterprise tasks.

Gaudi 3 is the third generation of Intel's dedicated chip for performing artificial intelligence training and inference. Intel acquired the chip family when it bought venture-backed startup Habana Labs of Tel Aviv in 2019 for $2 billion.

The Gaudi 3 is nearly twice as fast as Nvidia's mainstream GPU, the H100 chip, when training AI models such as the TensorRT large language model , said Gelsinger.

(An "AI model" is the part of an AI program that contains numerous neural net parameters and activation functions, which are the key elements for how the AI program functions.)

Guadi 3 is 50% faster than H100 when performing inference, where a trained neural net makes predictions in response to real questions.

The Gaudi chip family has shown proficiency in recent benchmark tests going up against Nvidia. In the most recent round of the the MLPerf competition held by the MLCommons, an industry consortium, the existing Gaudi 2 chip was the only data center chip that competed with H100 to make predictions using Meta's open-source Llama 2 70-billion large language model.

"Best of all, huge cost of ownership advantages for your organization," said Gelsinger. 

Gelsinger was joined onstage by guests including Michael Dell, IBM vice president of product Edward Calvesbert, Databricks head of generative AI Naveen Rao (a former Intel executive), and executives of Naver, which brands itself South Korea's largest Internet company.

Gaudi 3 is the third generation of Intel's dedicated chip for performing artificial intelligence training and inference.

"What we need is more Gaudi 3 in volume," said Michael Dell, whereupon he was presented with a metal briefcase. Dell opened the briefcase and an eery blue glow emerged, evoking a scene from the Quentin Tarantino film Pulp Fiction, and expressed "Wow."  

The Gaudi 3 consists of 64 separate tensor cores on die, to accelerate matrix multiplications at the heart of AI processing, aided by eight discrete "matrix math engines." The part draws upon 96 megabytes of fast on-chip SRAM cache memory, and a further 128 gigabytes of external "HBM3e" memory, the fastest industry DRAM, composed of multiple memory-chip die stacked next to the processor.  

The Guadi 3 can achieve 1.84 teraFLOPs, a trillion floating-point operations per second, when working on 8-bit floating point math operations, the widely used measure of chip performance. 

Not surprising, given the customer focus of the event, Gelsinger in his talk, with the help of the onstage guests such as Dell, aimed his pitch squarely at enterprise tasks, where he said AI programs are moving from experimental stages to implementation.

Gelsinger said Gaudi 3 will help to move AI through three different stages. The first, the present stage, is the "Age of AI Co-pilots," said Gelsinger. "The second age is nigh upon us, the age of AI agents."

The third stage would be the "Age of AI Functions," when the technology is implemented to "automate complex, enterprise-wide outcomes."

As the technology progresses to the third stage, said Gelsinger, the automation of functions, and resultant efficiency, meant that "Maybe we'll have the first one-person, billion-dollar company," by achieving things such as "unlocking all the data" stranded in organizations. 

"Intel, we were made for moments like this; together, with all of you, we're going to change the world again."

The history of Apple's origin will take us back to the 1970s. The journey of our startup tech, Apple, is a fairy-tale of one garage, three friends, and absolute dedication to succeed.

The two Steve's, Jobs and Wozniak, are the brains behind Apple.

But, there would have been no i Pods, iPhones or Mac, if Jobs hadn't convinced his friend Wayne to invest in 10% of the company's stocks.

Three friends launched the first personal computer named Apple 1 in 1976, sold at a whopping price of $666.66.

A few weeks later, Wayne left the company.

A year after, Apple II was launched with ground-breaking features such as spreadsheets and calculating software; it also introduced color graphics that revolutionized the computer industry.

By 1978, they had a real office with a team of intelligent programmers.

From 1977 to 1980, their sales numbers grew at a rapid annual rate of %533.

After 1980, things weren't easy because of the mushrooming of competitors in the market, such as IBM and Microsoft.

Therefore, Apple came with its computer upgrade Apple III to stand out.

However, they lost the battle to IBM computer because of its primary design flaw.

On 12th December 1980, they went public, selling their stocks at $22 per share.

In 1984, the Lisa operating system was swapped with Macintosh, delivering a user-friendly experience.

In 1983 Jobs hired John Sculley as the company's CEO. He was brought from PEPSI (he was the youngest CEO) with this famous quote- "Do you want to sell sugared water for the rest of your life? Or do you want to come with me and change the world?"

However, differences between Jobs and Sculley became a rift, and the company's board of members took the side of Sculley to send Jobs packing.

This scripted the tremendous decline of the company as the stocks of Apple were at 12-years lowest. And the entry of Jobs as an interim CEO in 1997.

From there on, Jobs made some bold decisions, such as partnering with Microsoft to create a new version of Macintosh and starting an online Apple store. The Apple iTunes music store was introduced in 2003. Between 2003-2006, the stocks of Apple increased ten times.

Now, arrived at the acne Apple's biggest gamble, which paid off, the iPhones in 2007. Their range of iPhones was selling like hot cakes across the globe. The shares of Apple hit a staggering $300 in October 2010.

A year after Job resigned as CEO due to health concerns, Tim Cook replaced him. On 5th October 2011, Steve Jobs was passed — the end of an incredible era.

With the upcoming Apple announcement only a day away, the business world is buzzing in anticipation. What will Tim Cook unveil next—and how will it impact our lives? Whether tomorrow’s announcements harken a new iPhone or a wearable device, we can be certain of one thing: the presentations will be of the highest caliber.

Over the past three decades, Apple’s executives have delivered some of the best presentations in the business. From Steve Jobs’ unveiling of the first iMac in 1998 to Tim Cook’s keynote at last year’s Worldwide Developers’ Conference, Apple has served as an exemplary model for effective content and delivery for years.

As we get ready for the next big product launch from Cupertino, let’s look back at some of the presentation techniques that have made past Apple announcements so great. Communications expert Carmine Gallo praises Apple executives for going so far as to make sure that their headlines are less than 140 characters long, so media outlets and audience members can tweet them out exactly as they said on stage. Steve Jobs understood the importance of powerful imagery. When he announced the launch of the MacBook Air on stage in 2008, Jobs wanted to highlight just how thin Apple’s newest laptop computer was. Instead, however, of simply telling his audience the impressive dimensions of the computer, he showed them, using an image of a manilla envelope .

“It’s so thin,” he said, “it even fits inside one of these envelopes we’ve seen floating around the office.” With this powerful image, Jobs was able to get his message across in a much more compelling way than he would have with numbers and text alone.

At the Macworld Conference in 2007, Steve Jobs’ clicker famously failed him. Instead of throwing the wretched piece of plastic on the ground or storming off the stage, Steve kept his cool. He made a joke to put the audience at ease, and then launched into a story about his adventures with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in high school.

In a matter of minutes—which can feel like hours when you’re up on stage with no backup—the clicker was working again, and Steve was able to continue with his talk. Steve seemed like a natural on stage, but in fact he was meticulous about his preparation—which included preparing anecdotes to tell when clickers stopped working.

4. PLAN FOR A “WOW” MOMENT.   (TWEET THIS!)

Steve Jobs was famous for his audacious statements and bold choices, especially when it came to presenting. Jobs knew how to work an audience—and how to delight them with the unexpected. A great example of this kind of “wow” moment is from Jobs’ introduction of the iPhone in 2007.

“Today, we’re introducing three revolutionary products,” Steve began. “The first one is a widescreen iPod with touch controls. The second is a revolutionary mobile phone. And the third is a breakthrough Internet communications device.” He repeats these lines as the audience begins to cheer. “Are you getting it? These are not three separate devices. This is one device.” And the crowd went wild.

Create a presentation in Keynote on Mac

To create a new presentation, you first choose a theme to use as a starting point. Themes use coordinated fonts and colors for a unified look and often include placeholders that you can replace with your own content.

Create a presentation from a theme

To open Keynote, click the Keynote icon in the Dock, Launchpad, or the Applications folder.

If the theme chooser (shown below) doesn’t appear, click New Document in the bottom-left corner of the dialog. You can also choose File > New (from the File menu at the top of your screen).

Note: If you’d like the ability to format table and chart data using the conventions of another language, choose the language in the bottom-left corner before choosing a theme. See Format a presentation for another language .

In the theme chooser, browse the themes by category, then double-click the one that looks closest to what you want to create. To narrow the choices, click a category along the sidebar on the left.

Some themes aren’t downloaded to your computer until you choose them or open a presentation that uses one. If your connection is slow or you’re offline when this happens, placeholder images and slide backgrounds in the presentation may appear at a lower resolution until you’re online again or the theme finishes downloading.

Each slide layout offers a different arrangement of text and images that you use as a starting point for your content.

To add your own content to the presentation, do any of the following:

Add text: Double-click placeholder text and type your own.

the Replace Image button

Choose File > Save, enter a name, choose a location, then click Save.

Keynote automatically saves your changes as you work, so you don’t need to worry about saving your presentation manually. However, it’s a good idea to rename your presentation so you can easily find it the next time you want to work on it. You can change the name of the presentation or change where it’s saved at any time.

If iCloud Drive is set up on your Mac, Keynote saves the presentation to iCloud Drive by default.

To end the presentation, press the Esc (Escape) key. For more ways to show a presentation, see Play a presentation on your Mac .

To close the presentation, click the red close button in the top-left corner of the window.

Select a default theme for new presentations

You can set Keynote to always open a new presentation in a particular theme instead of from the theme chooser.

Choose Keynote > Settings (from the Keynote menu at the top of your screen).

Click General at the top of the window, then select “Use theme” in the For New Presentations controls.

The name that appears after “Use theme” is the currently selected theme.

Click the Change Theme button, select a theme, then click Choose.

To close the window, click the red close button in the upper-left corner.

After you change this setting, you can still open a new presentation with a different theme. Hold down the Option key, then choose File > New from Theme Chooser (from the File menu at the top of your screen).
