Graduate tracer study provides information that helps academic institutions in analyzing the performance of alumni employed in different organizations and industries. The conventional method struggles in evaluating the gathered data from the graduates. Thus, this research focused on the development of a web-based graduate tracer information system for a State University in the Philippines that ease the problems from the non-optimal collection and unsystematic compilation of information. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) model was used to develop the web-based information system. The Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Bootstrap CSS framework, and JavaScript scripting language were used to develop the end-user interface, while Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) and MySQL were used for the functions and modules. Alpha test was carried out for the system testing, and the result showed that it effectively manages alumni’s information and capable of generating relevant reports for the end-users. The developed system provides descriptive and correlational data analytics, which can also be used to investigate the determinants of early employment.

Discipline: Information Technology

The study aimed at providing the Cagayan de Oro Academy for International Education with a web-based information and monitoring system capable of carrying out school transactions of the Cagayan de Oro Academy for International Education. An online information and monitoring system is complex and flexible and is designed to meet distinct needs. In developing the proposed system, the researchers used the Prototyping Life Cycle Model These applications improved the traditional transaction processing systems. Staff finds it tedious in searching and preparing reports on student’s information and also laborious due to repetition of processes done in filling and updating of records. The proposed system caters posting and viewing of grades, class schedules, students, guardians and staff profiling and other important data needed in the system. The Web-based Information and Monitoring System is an expansion of a basic information system achieved through system design of an improved or broader capability by functionally or technically relating two or more information systems. With this, the academy will be able to provide quality service to its students. This thesis study offers important implication for monitoring and information of the school and lessen the workload of school management and save time.

Background: A large number of students enrolled in many universities and the low ratio of supervisors to the student have challenged the process of developing education and research. Today, information and communication technology (ICT) tools have changed the learning environments. We assessed the improvement in challenges in the thesis process for Master’s degree virtual students using learning management systems (LMS). Methods: This study is a translational research design focusing on adaptation of educational technology and was conducted in three stages: Preparation, implementation, and assessment in the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in 2017. In the preparation stage, we matched LMS with technical support requirements. In the experimental stage, the effectiveness of a web-based system (LMS) for thesis support was assessed in 67, 65, and 51 master students in 2017, 2018, and 2019, respectively, and they were followed two years. In the post- experimental stage, the...

There are 16 state universities in Sri Lanka. The main goal of these universities is to develop and strengthen its role as a world-class University through teaching and learning, continuous improvement of academic research and support programs, and utilizes the best and suitable administrative practices that will lead to the regional and national development; where the majority of the university's examination departmental works has been doing with the help of MS-Excel, and MS-word only which leads a lot of time-consuming and increase the chances to error-prone. In this respect, this paper aims to provide a solution to avoid the existing manual method to a centralized online computerized information system that can migrate the majority of the works such as student registration, exam registration, results in upload and view, SMS notification from the department, staff-student live public chat forum, student acces s to download & print their examination related documents, and system's user interfaces customization via web browsers; this system provided with three different access level based on user permission. Further, the developed system can be accessed via any kind of computer or smartphone. This has developed using PHP, CSS, JavaScript, XML, MySQL, and Adobe Photoshop. Furthermore, this system has developed after the interview conducted with departmental lecturers and students for the requirement analysis.

Actuality: Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has provided all the modern methods in the practical aspects of management (organization) in all fields of work that contribute to facilitate completion. Of these fields is to manage the affairs of the students and organization of the school curriculum, which facilitate scientific level to follow them by the teacher as well as senior management (college) Secretarial. Aimed at universities around the world to raise the rankings of its universities, often need these universities to review the scientific level of the students and the academic level of the teachers as well as some other university administration and regulatory aspects, all these objects need to review the reports and statistics about it then be analyze and study those results to find out all weak points to be addressed, addition to identifying the strengths points for the purpose of development it to achieve the goals of the university. There are many methods and techniques that help in the organization of the school curriculum for students and knowing the scientific and academic levels, one of these techniques using websites applications to build programs that help effectively to achieve the goals of the university. Each college or scientific department need to know the extent of the commitment of the students attended lectures and commitment to perform daily tests and seasonal examinations. In general, the student feeling that there is a vocal point to views and watching his level of scientific performance, that drive him to provide what is the best for the sake of improvement his attitude and commitment to performance his duties. Therefore, we decided to develop a special site for teachers and students of the Technical College of Baghdad city, based on modern information technologies.

The paper studies implementation of a Course Management System to explore teacher-student activities, instructor’s responsibilities, reactions of instructors, its pros and cons and user response rate - from a faculty perspective of a university in Bangladesh. Analyzed user response suggests universities in Bangladesh to use such easy to use, free-source; very low implementation, training and maintenance cost CMS as – “technology as an adjunct to traditional means of instruction”. Identifies that optimum use of CMS depends on types of courses offered, teachers’ initiative, availability of number of computer resources, bandwidth, personnel training and information access policy for administrators, teachers and students.

Products are displayed in a shelf to market and sell to the public. It creates an interest and attracts people towards it. Likewise, any country or city can showcase itself by using Web over the internet which will attract the tourists from around the world. This example can be used for the city of Hyderabad. Hyderabad has truly become an international city and there are many multinational companies establishing themselves. It is rapidly becoming a hot spot for tourists from around the world because of its exotic locations and facilities provided by the government. The city has been famous for historical monuments and culture, but in the recent years it has developed into a world class IT destination for many multinational IT companies and due to this it has attained world recognition on the global scenario. The time is to reap the benefits of this image and promote the city’s tourist sector by globally marketing the tourist attractions, facilities and services in an innovative and better way so that tourists from around the world visit the city and thereby contribute to the country’s economy with the foreign currency.

This research deals with developing a Web-based GIS application that can promote the city’s tourist activities and also provide the users with an innovative way to access the spatial content of the city. GIS content forms the core component of this application as it provides the users with the spatial information about the place that is very close to reality. It supports the human tendency of “What you see is what you believe” by displaying the spatial information on the map. The application has been developed with the latest mapping server technology provided by Environmental Science Research Institute’s ArcIMS 9.1. This server software provides simple and easy methods to launch a Web-based GIS application over the Internet.
