IGNOU Assignment Status, Marks, and Result 2023 – Here, Students will get to know about the IGNOU Assignment Status for the most recent TEE sessions June 2024 and the previous December 2023. After taking admission to IGNOU University every student needs to get their Assignments from the nearest study centre or can download the same online from the IGNOU website. The assignments have a 30% weighted in your grade card while the Theory and Practical examination has a 70% weighted.

Things to Do after Submission of IGNOU Assignment

If you have submitted your Assignments to the IGNOU Study Centre then now is time for checking your marks and status online. After the submission of assignments, it goes to the evaluation department in which IGNOU evaluators start the evaluation of each assignment solution. Steps to check ignou passing marks 2022: for various courses.

IGNOU candidates can check the passing score and percentage for all IGNOU subjects, either out of 100 or 50. If a student fails an assignment or the term end theory exam, they must resubmit it or retake the term theory exam, according to IGNOU.

However, if students receive passing grades in every topic, they will be considered to have passed.

IGNOU Passing Marks for Bachelor Degree Courses

All IGNOU Bachelor's Degree (BA, BAG, B.com, B.sc, BTS, BDP, etc.) course passing marks is 35% means 35 Out of 100 and 18 out of 50, excluding BCA Programme. BCA Students need 40% means 40 out of 100 or 20 out of 50, to get passed.

The minimum passing mark is 18 out of 50 marks on paper.

For 25 Marks papers, the passing mark is 9.

IGNOU Passing Marks for Master’s Degree Courses

There is a grading system in a few master's programs, such as MBA and MARD; therefore, in master's degree courses, students require a D grade to pass. The passing mark for IGNOU Master's Degree Programs is 40 out of 100.

IGNOU Passing Marks For Certificate And Diploma Courses

To pass the Diploma/ Certificate course from IGNOU, the students must obtain a minimum of 40% marks in each subject in both theory exams and assignments. Along with theory, getting passing marks in Tutor Marked Assignments (TMA) is very important. Assignments in IGNOU constitute 30% of total marks for any course.

Students must obtain a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in assignments for Bachelor's Degree programs. Similarly, for Master's Degree programs, students must obtain 40 marks out of 100 in assignments.

IGNOU Students will have to obtain at least a "D" Grade in both assignments and term-end examinations for qualifying a course. However, the overall average should be at least a "C" grade for the successful completion of a program from IGNOU.

The IGNOU has released the guidelines that students must comply while preparing and submitting their assignments. Here are the updated guidelines:

All the assignment should be hand written.

Students must use A4 ruled paper (unless it is instructed on your TMA).

Leave 4 cm margin on left and right side of each page.

Do not use staplers, to bind the pages; you use need threads (what is typically found with cover files).

Avoid using any ink colour other than blue and black.

First you need to attach the cover page (You will find it at your study centre).

Then, attach a photocopy of your IGNOU ID card.

After that, attach a copy of your TMA (question paper on your assignment document).

Lastly, attach your hand written answers.

Leave one blank page in the end.

Do not use any files while submitting your assignments. Your assignment should only consist of the pages, tied with a thread.

You must take a submission receipt, which will be stamped by the study centre with submission dates. In case, your study centre is unable to provide you one, take a photocopy of the cover page of your assignment and get that stamped.

Note: For submission of practicals, you need to use a cover file.

The IGNOU 2024 assignment status window is typically updated in 25 days after submission of assignment. Usually, the university updates the assignment marks just a few days before the IGNOU TEE result declaration. In a case where IGNOU assignments status/marks have not been updated in a long time, candidates should contact their regional centre for more information. The IGNOU assignment result is declared alongside the IGNOU TEE result. Candidates will be able to check the IGNOU assignment marks on the IGNOU grade card which can be found in the official website - ignou.ac.in.

Once assignments have been submitted through any of the available methods before the last date of IGNOU assignment submission, they are sent to the evaluator of the study centre or regional centre for assessment. Upon successful evaluation, the evaluator will either upload the marks directly to the IGNOU site or send them to IGNOU Delhi for online updating. Afterwards, students can view the assignment submission status IGNOU, IGNOU assignment marks check, grades and results of their assignments on the website. Generally, IGNOU assignment marks are uploaded and updated within 40 days of submission to the relevant study or regional centre.

Candidates can also reach out to their assigned Study Centre Coordinator and ask them for assistance. They should be able to help to resolve the issue.
