Like an avenging, purple-haired Jedi bringing balance to the mansplained universe, Bee Königswasser lives by a simple code: What would Marie Curie do? If NASA offered her the lead on a neuroengineering project—a literal dream come true after years scraping by on the crumbs of academia—Marie would accept without hesitation. Duh. But the mother of modern physics never had to co-lead with Levi Ward.

When a fake relationship between scientists meets the irresistible force of attraction, it throws one woman's carefully calculated theories on love into chaos.
As a third-year PhD candidate, Olive Smith doesn't believe in lasting romantic relationships—but her best friend does, and that's what got her into this situation. Convincing Anh that Olive is dating and well on her way to a happily ever after was always going to take more than hand-wavy Jedi mind tricks: Scientists require proof. So, like any self-respecting biologist, Olive panics and kisses the first man she sees.
That man is none other than Adam Carlsen, a young hotshot professor—and well-known ass. Which is why Olive is positively floored when Stanford's reigning lab tyrant agrees to keep her charade a secret and be her fake boyfriend. But when a big science conference goes haywire, putting Olive's career on the Bunsen burner, Adam surprises her again with his unyielding support and even more unyielding...six-pack abs.
Suddenly their little experiment feels dangerously close to combustion. And Olive discovers that the only thing more complicated than a hypothesis on love is putting her own heart under the microscope.

The Love Hypothesis has wild commercial appeal but the quieter secret is that there is a specific audience, made up of all of the Olives in the world, who have deeply, ardently waited for this exact book.”—Christina Lauren, New York Times bestselling author
“Funny, sexy and smart, Ali Hazelwood did a terrific job with The Love Hypothesis .”—Mariana Zapata, New York Times bestselling author

After half a century of chaos, my retirement from leading the Community of Species Government has been bliss. No more hellhounds playing pranks. No more snippy demons demanding my attention. No more cajoling money from the wealthy to support the community. Just peace while I avoid my overbearing father and try to work out my next steps. Although...maybe three years of peace is enough. It might even be starting to get boring. In fact, an adolescent dragon crash-landing on my landlord's shed is just the kind of excitement I need - especially when he brings his species leader to my door.

Funny. Snarky. Intelligent. Real.
I devoured the book in one day (in-between family gatherings and kids). I couldn't put it down. Then a few days later I inhaled the audiobook. GOD I adore Callie Dalton. Hands down my favorite female narrator (not an intentional nod to Mariana Zapata but I'll leave it there to honor the slow burn queen 😂) Olive is the best kind of mess. She's frazzled from her PhD. She's grieving the loss of her mother to pancreatic cancer (which is fueling her research into easier/cheaper screening methods). She adores her friends and will do anything for them... which is how she ends up kissing Dr Adam Carlson. Adam is the resident grump/beast - instilling fear into graduate students (but all in the name of scientific excellence, of course). He agrees to a mutually beneficial fake dating relationship with Olive after the whole kissing-incident. Both Olive and Adam are navigating the challenges and obstacles of academia in their own unique ways - research, funding deficits, grants... i.e. lots of work, questionable returns. But science! Meanwhile juggling their fake-relationship and not at all (!!!) catching feelings. Cancer is a near and dear topic to me (my mum died of cancer and i am currently fighting cancer) so I was gut punched during several scenes that this was discussed. The banter and incredible one-liners in this story are perfection. Funny. Snarky. Intelligent. Real. The relationship between each character and their individual friends is beautiful. The development of their relationship together feels *just so good*. Read if: you're traumatized from academia and/or a STEM nerd, if you love Mariana Zapata & Helen Hoang, if you love sharp and funny banter, if you like a delicious slow burn with a fun twist on some classic tropes, if you're wild for sunshine/grumpy books. I'm so so excited to see this book climb the bestseller list. I know its going to be (frankly it already is) a total hit. Overall score: 5++ (this is my new bible. I will study it religiously) Smut score: 3.5/5 (slow burn, explicit but not super kinky other than *one* thing that had me going "ohhhh" 🥵🌶)

frustrating
I was looking for a light funny romance because I love a good love story and sometimes I just don't have the energy for anything heavy. This book was so frustrating because the storyline follows what happens after the F MC tells lie after lie, after lie, after lie, after lie! She was just so weak that she could never reveal the truth to the M main character. The author is smart so why give us a whimpering, indecisive lead F? There was an HEA, which I always need, but it took so long to get there, and it wasn't fulfilling. Side note, I love this narrator and the side characters were hilarious. Would I recommend this book? Not if I want my friends to value my book opinions.

Such a frustrating plot
I wish I could enjoy this book but honestly I just felt frustrated with the characters the entire time. It had incredibly adorable scenes but the entire conflict is just miscommunication/lack of communication so I it gets to the point where you just want the book to end.

So cute and frustrating at the same time..
There is so much to love about this book. It’s a very cute story and most of the characters are great. The dialogue and witty banter is fun to read. Then… somewhere in the middle of the story, you start to get super frustrated that the lead is so naïve and wimpy. The lead character gets neon signs thrown in front of her face over and over and then somehow works up a mental story to ignore everything. It’s not very believable and gets annoying after awhile. I got to the point where I just wanted it to be over. I liked the story enough that I wanted to finish the book but was ready for the hea.

What on Earth was this?
Thank God I grew up in the age of Nicholas Sparks writing romance novels, because good grief these new romances are weak. I blame 50 Shades of Grey and Twilight for this narrative of wimpy weak women getting the attention of genius, headstrong, independent, powerful men. Olive is 26 years old and doesn't have the faintest idea about love. Did she live in a shell her entire life? She watches rom-coms with her roommates on the weekends and you mean to tell me she can't recognize when a guy has a thing for her? My problem with Olive is that she plays the victim too much. She thinks she's underserving of love, attention and even friendship. I hate when she complains that everyone around her either dies or leaves; the "everything I touch gets destroyed." And as for Adam, he really couldn't find anyone else? I'm certain Academia pumps out some brilliant and sensible wifey material. Beyond that, the story had potential but please let go of the smart guy preys on dumb girl storyline. It gives the rest of us a bad name.

A new favorite author!
I adore this book and am pleased to find a new author for my favorites list. Ali Hazelwood's insights into romance while ensconced in academia are so spot on, I absolutely loved it! Callie Dalton is an excellent narrator, which is such a wonderful pairing for this author. A+

"A literary breakthrough… The Love Hypothesis is a self-assured debut, and we hypothesize it's just the first bit of greatness we'll see from an author who somehow has the audacity to be both an academic powerhouse and divinely talented novelist."— Entertainment Weekly

Loved the book but the Canada references made me cringe. So stereotypical. The author makes a major city like Toronto (equivalent to New York) sound like the Arctic. I was just waiting for her to mention that the protagonist lived in igloo and dog sled to school as a child.

emotional damage
Loved it so much. Cried for a whole day after finishing it because I realized a man like Adam Carlsen does not exist. And even if he did exist I probably wouldn't end up with him. Set my expectations for men even higher. 10/10 for the emotional damage, 9/10 for the spice, and 100/10 for the wholesome-ness of both characters.

Not bad but narration was off-putting
the narrating seemed very stiff and unnatural. The tone or pitch of her voice not ideal, reminds me of that old valley girl tone but also computer generated in a way. Interesting enough storyline.

My Favourite Rom-Com of the Year
I loved this audiobook. The situations the MC finds herself in are so ridiculous it goes beyond cheesy (as her BF says "it's like a bad YA novel"), the side characters are people you'd want to be your friends, and the male lead is swoon-worthy. The MC is likeable, grows throughout the novel and learns to rescue herself. The narrator was great for the female lead, and she did a good job with all of the side characters. I read some critiques about how low the MC's self-confidence is, and she does struggle to see her own worth. Unfortunately, that is a problem many young women face, so it didn't take away from the story for me. I graduated from engineering with a minor in science, and really appreciated how the author brought out the struggles of women in STEM.

best book I've read all year!!! it made me laugh out loud and never want to stop reading about Adam and Olive
- Performance 1 out of 5 stars
Nearly intolerable narration
The story in The Love Hypothesis is just as good as any other basically cheesy STEM romance novel. The problem here is that the narrator’s inflection was incredibly alien and she made everything sound just wrong. This made listening a challenge and definitely lessened my comprehension. That said, it wasn’t a DNF for me so I guess I can’t complain too much.
This author is on my automatic pre-order list now. I seriously can't stop listening to her books. I get upset when I need to pause for life things. The romance/sex is a slow heavenly burn. Worth every credit, penny and minute!
A favourite of mine!
Love that this author provides interesting story lines that are simple, interesting and totally engaging without fading into erotica. There are no silly segues introduced only to push the story line. No frequent repetitive words or lines. It is a terrifically interesting story presented via concise writing by a wonderful author…love her writing and witt.
Excellent Story
I've read a lot of romance novels on Audible, and this is with no doubt the best one The story is very good, heartwarming and powerful, as it has multiple dimensions and good character arcs, which is rare for a rom-com. My only slightly negative point is that the characters are a little more oblivious than I'd prefer (but then where would the good drama originate from..). The performer is good, however, it's very hard to tell the male characters voices apart from each other.
I rarely give 5 stars. But that book was so great. The characters was really lovely and the romance was so cute.

A BuzzFeed Best Summer Read of 2021
When a fake relationship between scientists meets the irresistible force of attraction, it throws one woman's carefully calculated theories on love into chaos.
As a third-year PhD candidate, Olive Smith doesn't believe in lasting romantic relationships—but her best friend does, and that's what got her into this situation. Convincing Anh that Olive is dating and well on her way to a happily-ever-after was always going to take more than hand-wavy Jedi mind tricks: Scientists require proof. So, like any self-respecting biologist, Olive panics and kisses the first man she sees.
That man is none other than Adam Carlsen, a young hotshot professor—and well-known a-s.

With an exclusive new bonus chapter...from Adam's POV
Based on the available information and the data hitherto collected, my hypothesis is that the further I stay away from love, the better off I will be.
When a fake relationship between scientists meets the irresistible force of attraction, it throws one woman's carefully calculated theories on love into chaos.
As a third-year Ph.D. candidate, Olive Smith doesn't believe in lasting romantic relationships but her best friend does, and that's what got her into this situation. Convincing Anh that Olive on her way to a happily ever after was always going to be tough, scientists require proof. So, like any self-respecting woman, Olive panics and kisses the first man she sees.
That man is none other than Adam Carlsen, a young hotshot professor and well-known ass. Which is why Olive is positively floored when he agrees to keep her charade a secret and be her fake boyfriend. But when a big science conference goes haywire and Adam surprises her again with his unyielding support (and his unyielding abs), their little experiment feels dangerously close to combustion.
Olive soon discovers that the only thing more complicated than a hypothesis on love is putting her own heart under the microscope.

Duh. The many lives of theoretical physicist Elsie Hannaway have finally caught up with her. By day, she's an adjunct professor, toiling away at grading labs and teaching thermodynamics in the hopes of landing tenure. By other day, Elsie makes up for her non-existent paycheck by offering her services as a fake girlfriend, tapping into her expertly honed people-pleasing skills to embody whichever version of herself the client needs. Honestly, it's a pretty sweet gig - until her carefully constructed Elsie-verse comes crashing down.

Ali Hazelwood – The Love Hypothesis Audiobook
By stream in Adults Bestsellers Romance Teen & Young Adult March 13, 2022
I devoured this in one day (in-between family celebrations as well as children). I could not place it down.
Olive is the very best type of mess. She’s tired from her PhD. She’s regreting the loss of her mother to pancreatic cancer cells (which is sustaining her research into easier/cheaper testing approaches). She adores her buddies and will do anything for them … which is how she ends up kissing Dr Adam Carlson.
Adam is the resident grump/beast – instilling concern into graduate students (yet all in the name of scientific quality, of course). Ali Hazelwood – The Love Hypothesis Audiobook Free. He accepts an equally beneficial fake dating connection with Olive after the whole kissing-incident.
Both Olive as well as Adam are navigating the difficulties and also challenges of academia in their own special ways – research, funding shortages, gives … i.e. lots of work, questionable returns. However scientific research! On the other hand handling their fake-relationship and not (!!!) catching sensations.
Cancer is a close to and dear topic to me (my mum passed away of cancer and also i am currently fighting cancer) so I was gut punched during several scenes that this was talked about.
The small talk and also unbelievable one-liners in this story are perfection. Amusing. Snarky. Smart. Actual.
The partnership in between each character and also their specific friends is stunning. The growth of their partnership together feels * just so great *.
Check out if: you’re traumatized from academia and/or a STEM nerd, if you love Mariana Zapata & Helen Hoang, if you enjoy sharp and amusing small talk, if you like a tasty slow burn with a fun twist on some classic tropes, if you’re wild for sunshine/grumpy publications.
I’m so thrilled to see this book climb up the bestseller listing. I understand its going to be (frankly it currently is) a total hit. This might just be my brand-new preferred book, possibly ever. Plot? Perfect. Personalities? Perfect. The only poor thing about this publication is just that it truly reinforced my idea that I’ll pass away alone, due to the fact that Dr. Adam Carlsen merely does not exist and now he is my criterion for males. And also Olive has my entire heart. Definitely charming. And the side characters also. I simply wish they were real so I could be friends with them. Anyhow, this is perfection in book form as well as if you are wondering if you should review it, do on your own a support as well as go do so immediately. The Love Theory by Ali Hazelwood is one of the sweetest and also craziest love I have read this year! Damage that. It is among the leading 3 romances I’ve read this year. Ph.D trainee Olive Smith kisses the 1st individual she finds in the corridor in order to encourage her buddy Anh that she was dating. The individual happens to be Dr. Adam Carlsen, Teacher in her Division, the resource of tears of several students. Later on he aids her solidify this lie and hence begins their journey of ‘fake-dating’. I’ll confess I am not that right into Professor-Student partnerships however the property right here was plausible as well as palatable to me because A) Olive wasn’t technically Adam’s trainee as well as B) Their age void wasn’t outrageous. However, I enjoyed how Ali tackled this concern early. From removing the concern with the Dean to Olive’s peers accusing her irrationally for Dr. Adam’s severe responses on proposals, she dealt all sorts of troubles in a realistic manner. The pressure of seeking academia, feeling insecure, underconfident and also just not good enough is something I really feel frequently. I associated with Olive on an emotional and also expert level. I enjoy exactly how their fake-dating wasn’t as well cliché with them still maintaining their first perspectives concerning each other however gradually their layers peeled off away bit by little bit and they let themselves show their real at risk selves with each coffee date, each task they did required by Olive’s pals. Olive is a sunshine-y personality yet in an awkward, over-imaginative rambling kind of way and Adam is no doubt a grump with a deadpan and dry feeling of humour and also I enjoyed all their exchange. I enjoyed how slowly Olive really felt safe with him. Exactly how he assisted her, safeguarded her without ever before interfering in her job. Even in the physical facet, his care and fear over her consent was the sweetest thing ever before. The Love Hypothesis will certainly decrease as the greatest surprise of this year and also no one is more surprise than me. This book has been anywhere I go. I could not outrun this publication, even if I intended to. Ali Hazelwood – The Love Hypothesis Audio Book Download. As well as you understand with buzz comes great expectations. As well as with fantastic expectations comes also greater dissatisfactions. Therefore, I made it my objective to go into TLH anticipating nothing as well as received everything. I call this book dumbasses-to-lovers for a reason. Olive and also Adam had clearly feelings for each various other, but were also poultry crap to confess them. Olive had actually confessed to Malcolm that she was falling in love w Adam and also Adam heard it and when Olive stated she was talking about someone else, that dumbass actually thought her. I imply it creates great angst for exacly 3 secs trigger I could feel my young boy’s pain, yet exactly how could he not known it was him the whole time.

Geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) define a position on the Earth’s surface. Coordinates are angular units. The canonical form of latitude and longitude representation uses degrees (°), minutes (′), and seconds (″). GPS systems widely use coordinates in degrees and decimal minutes, or in decimal degrees.
Latitude varies from −90° to 90°. The latitude of the Equator is 0°; the latitude of the South Pole is −90°; the latitude of the North Pole is 90°. Positive latitude values correspond to the geographic locations north of the Equator (abbrev. N). Negative latitude values correspond to the geographic locations south of the Equator (abbrev. S).
Longitude is counted from the prime meridian ( IERS Reference Meridian for WGS 84) and varies from −180° to 180°. Positive longitude values correspond to the geographic locations east of the prime meridian (abbrev. E). Negative longitude values correspond to the geographic locations west of the prime meridian (abbrev. W).
UTM or Universal Transverse Mercator coordinate system divides the Earth’s surface into 60 longitudinal zones. The coordinates of a location within each zone are defined as a planar coordinate pair related to the intersection of the equator and the zone’s central meridian, and measured in meters.
Elevation above sea level is a measure of a geographic location’s height. We are using the global digital elevation model GTOPO30 .
