essay on my country Nepal

Essay on My Country Nepal For Students

If there is a country’s flag that stands out among all other countries it is the flag of Nepal . Our flag is very unique and cannot be compared to other countries’ flags due to its shape. It also has a hidden meaning behind it which represents the country’s peace-loving and friendly nature, bravery, and immortal history.

My country Nepal is situated between two countries, India and China. Although it is sandwiched between international powers, conflicts have not happened between any, and peace remains. Nepal is a country of various castes and cultures. In other words, it is like a beautiful garden of flowers with people of different ethnicities and backgrounds.

My country Nepal is not only unique for its flag but also its geographical terrain, the variety of castes and cultures you can find, and the rich history of it. It is the land of various great places and important figures that people know far and wide. The temperature here spans from cool to hot and is a heaven for residing in.

There are about 126 castes in Nepal each with its own rich history and culture which makes Nepal a rich place for culture. Some dating back to the millenniums. Not only that, our country is very rich in its geographical terrain. From the lowest point of just 70 Meters from sea level to the world’s highest peak Mt. Everest (8848.86 meters) , we have temperature scales that vary from place to place. It is divided into three regions, Terai, Hilly, and Himalayas each according to their altitude and geographical differences.

Himalayan regions have high and mighty Himalayas that are breathtaking to look at. Out of the world’s top 10 highest peaks, 8 of them fall in my country. It is already a great pride to have come from such a country. The diverse flora and fauna, beautiful landscapes, lush and green jungles, historical and religious places in Nepal are enough to gather the attention of foreigners and locals too. People from all over the world pay thousands of dollars just to see our country’s snow-capped mountains, rivers, cliffs, waterfalls, other beautiful landscapes, the rich flora and fauna, and sites of great religious and historical importance. It just doesn’t end there.

📌 Read –   Essay on the Importance of English Language

Our country ranks in the top 5 for the richest in water resources. With just a small country with an area of 1,47,181 sq kilometers, it has the potential to fuel hydropower worth 2% of the entire world. It may look small in number but taking our country’s small area in context, it is a potential incomparable to all. The Terai region holds fertile land and smooth flowing waters that are excellent for farming and cultivating.

Nepal is also known as an agricultural country where 60% of the people here follow agriculture as their work. Our country also has huge historical importance. Gautama Buddha the founder and preacher of Buddhism which is practiced worldwide was also born in Nepal. Buddhism is known to preach peace and non-violence and to love everyone. King Janak is also an important figure who holds great importance to communities in Nepal.

Other personalities include Bhrikuti, Araniko, etc. Our country is also known for its bravery. Our country never has to celebrate Independence day as we were never under the rule of any other. We stood and fought against the Britans and other Mongol countries. Brave Gorkhalis were united after a long struggle and fought their way to preserve their country. The courage and bravery of Nepali people are also know world wide. Many brave Gorkhalis went to fight under countries in world wars and won various colors and medals. This brought our country so much respect that we even enjoy it for granted to date.

Although our country’s history, culture, terrains, and achievements make anyone feel proud, the power struggle for the politicians, previous kings, and presidents have made the country weak and fall in the developing country category. Our rich natural resources have not been utilized and we have fallen way behind. Corruption is widely prevalent in our country and the loans we have taken from other countries are in a large number. The amount of food and other materialistic consumption has made Nepal import more and export less.

Our country is poor but the people here are rich. This is because of the corruption and the illegal working/trading that has been done. The government has not made significant progress and the people aren’t responsible. Although I feel proud to be A Nepali, the condition of my country makes me feel bad. People should feel responsible and carry out their duties and not just complain about the government.

The government too should implement proper policies and rules and enforce them accordingly. Utilization of our natural resources should be done in an effective way and social evils such as discrimination according to castes and genders, other superstitions should be slowly removed. Centralized development should stop and we should control the people moving out to other countries with their skills that are wasted abroad. This way we can slowly develop our country.

Essay on My Country Nepal | 700+ Words

Essay on My Country Nepal

Essay on My Country Nepal | Paragraph Writing 600+ Words

My country is the land of diversity and is very unique. My country Nepal lies in the Southern part of Asia. It is surrounded by two powerful countries India and China and is landlocked. It has an area of about 147,516 sq. kilometers. Although small, my country is diverse both in terms of geography and culture. It is like a beautiful garden with many people from different backgrounds. It is a country with a variety of castes and cultures.

Nepal’s flag is also the most unique to the world. Our country’s flag stands out among the rest due to its shape. The colors and symbols of our flag also represent the country’s peace-loving and friendly nature, bravery, and immortal history.

In my country Nepal, we can find places with altitudes ranging from as low as 70 meters to the highest peak in the world 8848 meters. It is divided into 3 regions Terai, Pahad, and Himal with the temperature of the place varying from hot to cold. Each region has its own specialty. Nepal’s Himalayan regions have high and mighty mountain ranges that are breathtaking to look at. Out of the world’s top 10 highest peaks, 8 of them fall in my country Nepal.

For You: Essay on Importance of English Language

The Hilly region is full of green hills and a very cool temperature to live in. It has many historical and religious places. Terai too is mostly a flat stretch of land with fertile soil. It is the granary of Nepal where most crops are grown. It is also an industrial region of our country.

The flora and fauna of my country are also very diverse. The difference in altitudes makes our country have various ecosystems. Foreigners from all over the world pay thousands of dollars just to see our country’s reach of flora and fauna, rivers, lakes, cliffs, waterfalls, snowcapped mountains, and many other beautiful landscapes. The natural beauty of my country Nepal is difficult to find in other places.

Our country also has sites of great religious and historical importance where thousands of pilgrims visit every year. Places like Pashupatinath, Muktinath, Lumbini, Swyambunath, etc are very popular. It is already a pride to have come from such a country.

Essay on My Country Nepal

Our country also ranks in the top 5 for water resources. For such a small country to have rich water resources it is a boon. If fully utilized we can provide electricity to other countries too. Important personalities like King Janak, Gautam Buddha, Arniko, Bhrikuti were also born in Nepal. They all carry historical and religious importance even up to date. Our country’s warriors and commanders are still known today for their bravery and courage. It is also the reason our country never has to celebrate independence day as we never were colonized.

Nepal is also blessed with people of different backgrounds and ethnicity. In the past, many people had migrated to Nepal and settled here and hence the diversity. My country Nepal is also secular and respects all religions equally despite the numbers. There are 126 castes in Nepal and behind them, every culture has its significance. Each culture has its unique festivals and traditions. People also celebrate each other’s festivals with great fun. Nepali people are known for their hospitality and friendliness too.

But even after nature blessing our country, we have not been able to fully utilize it. Problems such as corruption and political instability run deep in the country. Our natural resources are not being taken care of properly and our country is being poor day by day. People are rich but the country is poor. Poverty is also seen in our country. Lack of proper management of wastes has also polluted our water and slowly destroying our forests. This also means our plants and animals are slowly being extinct. Illegal hunting and farming of precious animals and plants are also ruining our ecosystem.

This is why to save our country from further danger and poverty proper management and a responsible leader are required. The citizens of our country should also feel responsible for the country and not only blame the leaders. Proper plans and policies should be required to protect our resources. Social evils such as discrimination should also be tackled. Conservative-minded people should be given awareness and strict punishments for corruption and other illegal acts should be given. Employment opportunities should also be created as many people are leaving the country for jobs abroad.

Essay & Paragraph Writing

Essay and paragraph writing are fundamental skills that play a significant role in academic and professional success. Whether you’re a student striving to excel in your coursework or a professional seeking to communicate your ideas effectively, the ability to craft well-structured essays and paragraphs is essential. In this blog post, we’ll explore some valuable tips and techniques to help you become a more proficient writer.

How To Write An Essay & Paragraph: Tips and Techniques

Before diving into the finer points of essay and paragraph writing, it’s crucial to understand the basic concepts:

  • The Essay:  An essay is a structured piece of writing that presents a well-reasoned argument or explores a specific topic. It typically consists of an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Essays vary in length and complexity, from short five-paragraph essays to lengthy research papers.
  • The Paragraph:  A paragraph is a group of related sentences that focus on a single main idea. Effective paragraphs are coherent and well-organized, with a clear topic sentence and supporting details.

Now, let’s delve into some tips and techniques to enhance your writing skills.

Essay Writing Tips

  • Plan and Outline:  Before you start writing your essay, spend time planning and outlining your ideas. A well-structured essay begins with a clear outline that includes the main points and supporting details.
  • Thesis Statement:  Your essay should have a strong thesis statement that conveys the central argument or purpose. It should be concise, specific, and placed in your introduction.
  • Clear Structure:  Organize your essay with a clear structure. Use introductory and concluding paragraphs, and ensure that each body paragraph has a single main idea, transitioning smoothly from one point to the next.
  • Support with Evidence:  Back up your arguments with relevant evidence, such as statistics, examples, or quotations. Cite your sources appropriately.
  • Edit and Revise:  Never underestimate the power of editing and revising. Review your essay for clarity, coherence, grammar, and punctuation errors. Consider seeking feedback from peers or professors.

Paragraph Writing Techniques

  • Topic Sentences:  Begin each paragraph with a strong, clear topic sentence that introduces the main idea of that paragraph.
  • Unity and Coherence:  Ensure that all sentences within a paragraph relate to the main idea. Paragraphs should flow logically, with each sentence building upon the previous one.
  • Transition Words:  Use transition words and phrases to connect ideas between paragraphs and within them. This enhances the flow and makes your writing more reader-friendly.
  • Vary Sentence Structure:  Make your writing more engaging by using a mix of sentence structures. Incorporate simple, compound, and complex sentences to add variety and rhythm.
  • Conciseness:  Be concise and avoid unnecessary repetition or wordiness. Get to the point and deliver your message clearly and efficiently.

Mastering essay and paragraph writing is a skill that can greatly enhance your communication and academic abilities. By following the tips and techniques outlined in this blog post, you can become a more proficient writer. Remember that writing is a process, and continuous practice and refinement will lead to improvement over time. So, don’t be discouraged by initial challenges; instead, embrace them as opportunities to grow as a writer.

' Unity in Diversity' defines my country. Located between two of the biggest countries in the world China and India, my country Nepal, is geographically smaller and a landlocked country. Nonetheless, eight of the highest peaks of the world lie here, Light of Asia, Gautam Buddha was born here, the highest peak of the world, Mt.Everest lies here. Also, 10 of the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites lie within this small country. Nepal is a historically, biologically, and spiritually a unique country in the world.

Though, Nepal's current geographical area is 1,47,516 sq.km., the Greater Nepal in 1804 was much bigger than what we have right now. Another surprising fact, yet a matter of pride is that we have never been the colony of foreign powers. So, we have never celebrated the Independence Day.

Geographically, our country is divided into three landforms: Mountain, Hilly and Terai. Altogether, people of 125 castes and 123 languages live here following their own tradition, culture and norms and values. Despite these major cultural differences, we are united to each other by a bond of sovereignty, mutual understanding and respect for each other.

The language of the country is Nepali. It is also one of the toughest language to learn in the world. You might have heard that our country's flag is the only non-quadrilateral flag in the world. This is true. It has two triangles with sun and moons in the middle of each. This symbolizes our existence till the sun and the moon exist in the universe. Our national animal is cow, national bird is Lophophorous, national flower is Rhododendron and the national color is crimson.

Our ancestors, also known as Bir Gurkhe, are known for their bravery. And, we have always been praised for our kind and generous nature. Every of the foreign tourists that visit our country always return to their home country taking positive vibes along with them. Showing hopsitality to the guests is well known to us.

While talking about our cultures, let us not forget we have numerous festivals, rites, rituals and cultural ceremonies. Among them, Indra Jatra provides us to dance with the God. As 81% of people of Nepal are the followers of Hinduism, Dashain and Tihar is celebrated in the happiest way here.

Nepal is also rich in biodiversity. We have been blessed with agricultural potential. Also, our country is an agricultural country. However, the inability of us to modernize and commercialize the agricultural sector adversely affects the economic prosperity of our country.

We are a federal, democratic, republican state and have our own constitution. To sum up, though we are limited geographically in a small land area, the happiness and pride in the eye of every Nepalese represent the greatness of our country, Nepal.

  • Introduce your country with some facts that makes your country different from the others.
  • Build such links in your essay that when the reader reads it they go from one topic to another and understand it.
  • Out of all the features of your country, try to highlight the ones that are interesting.
  • Do not forget to mention the national identities.

100 Words Essay on History Of Nepal

Ancient nepal.

Long ago, small kingdoms existed in the area now known as Nepal. The Kiratis ruled during the 7th century BC, and their legacy is still remembered. Later, the Lichhavi dynasty took power around the 3rd century AD, bringing art and architecture to the region.

Medieval Nepal

The Malla kings dominated from the 12th to the 18th century. They built beautiful palaces and promoted culture. In 1482, the Kathmandu Valley split into three kingdoms: Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan, each competing in art and building temples.

Unification and Expansion

In the 18th century, King Prithvi Narayan Shah unified Nepal. His Gorkha kingdom expanded, creating a larger Nepal. This era was marked by battles and the establishment of a central government.

Rana Rule and Democracy

The Rana family ruled from 1846 to 1951, focusing on power and wealth. In 1951, the Ranas were overthrown, and Nepal slowly moved towards democracy with a constitutional monarchy.

Recent History

Nepal became a federal democratic republic in 2008 after a long struggle. The monarchy ended, and people gained more rights. Despite challenges, Nepal is growing and preserving its rich history and culture.

250 Words Essay on History Of Nepal

Early beginnings.

Nepal’s history is very old and rich. Long ago, small kingdoms were all over the land. In the 4th to 6th centuries, the Licchavi dynasty ruled, and we can still see their art in Nepal. They made beautiful statues and buildings. After them, the Malla dynasty came to power in the 12th century. They too loved art and built many temples and palaces.

Unification of Nepal

In the 18th century, a king named Prithvi Narayan Shah started to bring all the small kingdoms together. By 1768, he had made them all one country, which is the Nepal we know today. This was a big change because before this, Nepal was not one big country but many small ones.

Struggle for Power

After Nepal became one country, there were many fights for power. The Rana family took control in 1846 and ruled for about 100 years. They were very strict and did not let the kings have much power. But in 1951, the people and the king worked together to end the Rana rule.

Recent Changes

In the late 20th century, Nepal’s people wanted a government where they could have a say. This led to big changes in 1990 and again in 2006, when Nepal stopped being a kingdom and became a republic. This means they no longer have a king and the people’s leaders run the country.

Nepal’s history shows us how many small parts can come together to make a whole country. It’s a story of kings, art, and people fighting for a better life.

500 Words Essay on History Of Nepal

Early history of nepal.

Long ago, before it was a country, the land of Nepal was home to many small kingdoms. These kingdoms were ruled by kings and queens who lived in big, beautiful palaces. The history of Nepal is very old, and people have lived there for thousands of years. One of the first groups of people to live in Nepal were called the Kiratis. They were famous for being strong warriors and good hunters. Many stories from those times are still told today.

The Malla Kings

Around the 12th century, a group of kings called the Mallas came to power in Nepal. They built big temples and cities that you can still visit today. These kings liked art and learning, so they helped make Nepal a place where beautiful paintings and big festivals were very common. Because of the Mallas, Nepal became known for its amazing culture and buildings.

In the 18th century, a king named Prithvi Narayan Shah did something very important. He brought all the little kingdoms together into one big country, which is the Nepal we know today. He and his army worked very hard to unite these kingdoms without destroying them. Thanks to him, people from different places in Nepal could be friends and live together in peace.

The Rana Rule

After Prithvi Narayan Shah, there were many kings, but in the 19th century, a family called the Ranas became very powerful. They were not kings, but they controlled the country for about 100 years. During this time, they built many big houses and roads, but they also made the real kings have very little power. The people of Nepal were not very happy with the Ranas because they couldn’t make choices about their country.

Democracy in Nepal

In the middle of the 20th century, the people of Nepal wanted to have a say in how their country was run. They didn’t want the Ranas or just one king to decide everything. So, they fought for democracy, which means that all the people can help make decisions. In 1951, they were successful, and Nepal started to have elections where people could choose their leaders.

Recent Times

The last few decades have been a time of big changes for Nepal. There was a time when the kings had no power, then they had power again, and then in 2008, Nepal decided not to have a king anymore. Now, Nepal is a country where people can vote for who they want to lead them, and it is called a republic. Even though there have been some tough times, like earthquakes and political problems, the people of Nepal keep working together to make their country a better place.

Nepal has a rich history that goes back a very long time. From the brave Kiratis to the unifying king Prithvi Narayan Shah, and from the Rana rulers to the democratic changes, Nepal’s story is full of interesting events. Today, Nepal is known for its beautiful mountains, like Mount Everest, and its kind people who have a strong spirit. The history of Nepal teaches us about the power of unity and the importance of everyone having a voice in their country.

Challenges faced by Nepal in Managing its Natural Resources

Nepal is a landlocked country in South Asia, rich in diverse and abundant natural resources. However, despite having a plethora of natural resources, Nepal faces numerous challenges in managing them effectively. Some of the major challenges faced by Nepal in managing its natural resources are discussed below.

  • Limited Awareness: Nepal has a large rural population, where most people are illiterate and lack awareness about the importance of natural resources. This leads to over-exploitation and destruction of natural resources, which affects the country’s overall development.
  • Lack of Government Support: The government of Nepal lacks adequate financial and technical resources to effectively manage natural resources. There is also a lack of political will to implement conservation and sustainable management programs, which results in the mismanagement of natural resources.
  • Corruption: Corruption is a major challenge in Nepal, and this also extends to the management of natural resources. Lack of transparency in the allocation and management of resources often leads to their exploitation and destruction, leading to an imbalance in the ecosystem.
  • Unplanned Development: Unplanned development activities such as deforestation, illegal logging, mining, and other commercial activities often cause severe damage to the environment and natural resources. This results in degradation of the environment, reducing the capacity of natural resources to provide benefits to the local communities.
  • Climate Change: Climate change is a major challenge to the management of natural resources in Nepal. Changes in the pattern of rainfall and temperature affect agriculture, forestry, water resources, and other ecosystem services, which impacts the livelihoods of local communities.
  • Geographical Challenges: Nepal’s mountainous geography poses a significant challenge to the management of natural resources. The country’s inaccessible terrain makes it difficult for the government to monitor and enforce conservation and sustainable management programs.

In conclusion, Nepal faces numerous challenges in managing its natural resources, but with effective government support, increased awareness, and the implementation of sustainable management programs, these challenges can be overcome. Effective natural resource management is crucial for the country’s overall development and the well-being of its people.

Community-Based Natural Resource Management in Nepal

Community-based Natural Resource Management (CBNRM) is a critical approach to the sustainable management of natural resources in Nepal. This method of resource management is based on the principle of empowering local communities to participate in the management and decision-making process of the natural resources that affect their lives. The aim of CBNRM is to balance the interests of the local communities, governments, and businesses to ensure that the resources are used for the benefit of all stakeholders.

Natural Resources in Nepal

In Nepal, CBNRM has been implemented in various forms to conserve and manage the country’s vast natural resources, including forests, wildlife, water resources, and land. CBNRM is based on the idea of decentralizing the management of natural resources to the local communities. This approach has been successful in conserving and sustaining the resources while promoting the economic development of the communities.

The government of Nepal has been promoting CBNRM as a means of achieving sustainable development. The government has established various laws, policies, and institutions to support the implementation of CBNRM. For example, the Forest Act 1993 and the Community Forest Management Regulation of 1995 provide the legal framework for the management of community forests.

Natural Resources in Nepal

In addition, the government has established the Community-based Natural Resource Management Program (CBNRMP) to provide technical and financial support to communities in their efforts to manage natural resources. The program has been successful in creating a collaborative relationship between the communities, the government, and the private sector to conserve and manage the resources.

The success of CBNRM in Nepal is evident from the increase in the number of community-based organizations (CBOs) that are engaged in the management of natural resources. CBOs have been established in various regions of the country, and they play a critical role in the management of resources, including the protection of forests, wildlife, and water resources.

Natural Resources in Nepal

In conclusion, CBNRM is a critical approach to the sustainable management of natural resources in Nepal. The government, local communities, and the private sector must work together to ensure the successful implementation of CBNRM. This will ensure that the resources are used for the benefit of all stakeholders, including the preservation of the environment and the promotion of economic development.

How temporary protected status has expanded under the biden administration.

Since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021, his administration has greatly expanded the number of immigrants who are eligible for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) – a designation that gives them time-limited permission to live and work in the United States and avoid potential deportation.

The federal government offers TPS to qualifying immigrants who live in the U.S. and come from selected nations that are deemed unsafe to return to because of war, natural disasters or other crises.

Pew Research Center conducted this analysis to determine the number of immigrants in the U.S. who are eligible for Temporary Protected Status (TPS). The federal government, as directed by the president, determines the countries whose immigrants living in the U.S. would be eligible for TPS. TPS is granted to nationals of designated countries and to those with no nationality, but who last habitually lived in a designated country (immigrants). To apply, immigrants must have continuously lived in the U.S. at or before a date specified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

For this analysis, we collected information about the TPS program published on the DHS website; Federal Register announcements about TPS benefits ; and information from the Congressional Research Service .

In this analysis, TPS beneficiary numbers for most countries are taken from DHS statistics provided to the Congressional Research Service, which exclude recipients who also have lawful permanent resident status or U.S. citizenship. Some may have left the U.S. or died. For immigrants eligible for TPS from the redesignations of Cameroon, Myanmar, Syria and Venezuela, estimates of the number of people eligible were included in the most recent Federal Register notices regarding those countries’ TPS designations.

A table showing that over 1 million immigrants in the U.S. are either eligible for or receiving Temporary Protected Status. About 240,000 immigrants from Venezuela are currently receiving TPS.

Nearly 1.2 million of the roughly 21.6 million noncitizen immigrants living in the U.S. are either receiving or eligible for TPS. These immigrants come from 16 countries : Afghanistan, Cameroon, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Haiti, Honduras, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicaragua, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela and Yemen.

Federal immigration officials may grant TPS for up to 18 months based on conditions in immigrants’ home countries, and they may repeatedly extend this eligibility if dangerous conditions in those countries persist.

The Biden administration cited dangerous conditions in Cameroon, Myanmar, Syria and Venezuela when it recently expanded TPS protections to immigrants from those countries. The Federal Register provides detailed information about each of these countries’ designations .

A table showing that an estimated 480,000 U.S. immigrants from Venezuela, Cameroon and Syria are newly eligible for Temporary Protected Status. 472,000 of these immigrants come from Venezuela.

The recent TPS expansions continue the Biden administration’s efforts to broaden the program .

Since 2021, the Department of Homeland Security – which oversees the program – has added Afghanistan, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Myanmar, Ukraine and Venezuela to the list of countries whose immigrants may qualify for TPS. It also extended the terms of eligibility for immigrants from most countries that were already covered by TPS.

The Biden administration’s expansions stand in contrast to the Trump administration’s efforts to end TPS for nearly all beneficiaries. On his first day as president, Biden asked Congress to pass legislation that would allow TPS recipients who meet certain conditions to apply immediately for green cards that would let them become lawful permanent residents. Green card holders may be granted U.S. citizenship if they pass additional background checks and meet the usual naturalization conditions of knowledge of English and U.S. civics.

TPS recipients are not currently eligible for permanent residency or U.S. citizenship unless they pursue those statuses through other immigration processes.

Some TPS recipients have lived in the U.S. for decades

Immigrants with TPS live in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories, according to the Congressional Research Service . The largest numbers live in Florida, Texas, California and New York – all of them states with large immigrant populations.

Some current TPS beneficiaries have lived in the U.S. for two decades or more. For example, those from Honduras and Nicaragua have been eligible because of damage from Hurricane Mitch in 1998, provided they have been living in the U.S. since Dec. 30 of that year. And current protections for immigrants from El Salvador apply to those who have lived in the U.S. since Feb. 13, 2001, following a series of earthquakes that killed more than a thousand people and inflicted widespread damage there.

Deferred Enforced Departure also offers protection from deportation

Another form of temporary relief from deportation, called Deferred Enforced Departure (DED), is granted at the president’s discretion, rather than as a result of an administrative process in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. It usually follows catastrophes in immigrants’ home countries similar to those that have triggered TPS. Currently, certain immigrants from Liberia, Hong Kong and the Palestinian territories are eligible for this benefit and are also allowed to apply for authorization to work. Liberian immigrants with DED have  relief until June 30, 2024 , and those from Hong Kong until Feb. 5, 2025 . The president recently enacted DED for immigrants from the Palestinian territories for 18 months starting Feb. 14, 2024.

To be granted TPS, applicants must meet filing deadlines, pay a fee, and prove they have lived in the U.S. continuously since the events that triggered relief from deportation. They must also meet criminal record requirements . For example, they must show that they have not been convicted of any felony or two or more misdemeanors while in the U.S.; persecuted others; or engaged in terrorism.

Once the Department of Homeland Security determines that a nation’s immigrants are eligible for TPS, those immigrants can apply for deportation relief if they entered the U.S. without authorization or entered on a temporary visa that has since expired. Those with a valid temporary visa or another non-immigrant status, such as foreign students, are also eligible to apply.

Federal officials are required to announce 60 days before any TPS designation expires whether it will be extended. Without a decision, it automatically extends for another six months.

Congress and President George H.W. Bush authorized the TPS program in the 1990 immigration law , granting the White House executive power to designate and extend the status to immigrants in the U.S. based on certain criteria.

My Own Room – Sample of Nepali Short Essay

Get here a Nepali short essay on the title of my room. This is a sample essay for writing my room. How to write a short essay? Get a sample paper of an essay.

A short Essay on My Room

I live in a big house. It is a four-storeyed building. My room is just under the roof. It is an attic room on the fourth floor. It covers nearly 150 square feet. It has one door and three windows. All of them have curtains. A woolen green carpet is placed on the floor. The walls and ceiling are white painted.

There is a long table in one corner with two chairs beside it. A lamp and a bouquet are there on it. There are a TV case and a cupboard. Next, to the door, there is my bed, which has a luxurious mattress and a warm quilt. There is a fan on the ceiling. Likewise, a bookcase has been placed just between my bed and the table.

My room is fairly quiet as it is at the back of the house. It looks onto the orchard. It faces south. Therefore, the light of the sun reaches every nook and corner of it. We can enjoy the sunbath in my room in the winter.

Furthermore, an electric heater is placed at the center of the room to keep us warm in the pretty cold winter.

A bathroom is attached to my room. The posters of the natural landscape and famous models make my room attractive. In short, my room is very simple but attractive.
