Abigail Lucia Sanchez is a recent graduate from Barnard College, at Columbia University, where she was a Levy Scholar. Her broad research interests include issues related to migration policy, blocks to generational mobility, both in the US and Latin America, and latine-related labor studies. In her past internships, she has worked at the Council of Economic Advisors and the Los Angeles County Public Defenders Office. Her future plans include not only pursuing her doctorate degree in Economics, but pushing for inclusive policies that will change the socioeconomic disadvantages that people of color face. In her free time, she spends time dancing salsa, and trying new restaurants.

Fellows are embedded in host offices across the university, where they gain valuable professional experience, learn new skills, and expand their professional networks. Fellows spend up to ten hours per week on their projects and fellowship-related professional development and receive a $2,000 stipend.
