the National Center for Teacher Effectiveness (NCTE) that includes a broad set of variables rarely available to researchers in one dataset. The sample includes over 300 upper elementary teachers from four school districts during the 2010-11 through 2012-13 school years. Teachers’ instruction was scored on two established observation
based professional development with teacher SMART professional practice and student learning goals, self-regulate the instructional skills of teachers, and increase teachers’ feelings of efficacy in meeting the needs of individual learners. The professional development sequence included 375 minutes devoted to the study and application of

Teacher efficacy likewise grew stronger, particularly in relation to teachers’ confidence in their ability to continue learning about 21st century skills and to plan instruction integrating 21st century skills. Further, teachers reported that collaborating in a community of practice positively impacted their learning and efficacy.

Furthermore, teacher burnout is believed to be one of the leading causes for the high attrition rate among teachers which is estimated to cost the United States $2.2 billion annually (Haynes, 2014; O’Brien, Goddard, & Keeffe, 2008). The present study examined the relation between teacher burnout and student misbehavior.
